Bought one over an equally optioned Rubicon. It actually has an inch lift over a Rubicon . So it's 2 " over a stock sport. Nobody on UA-cam mentions that the extreme recon package also includes a Dana 44 front axle . Took mine off road 2 weeks after I bought it. Followed my buddies " built Rubicon' all weekend went everywhere that jeep went and it did it without lockers. Yes it's worth every penny.
The Sahara model also has cut outs in the fender for hood latches (went out to the garage to look..lol). The Sahara fenders are mounted lower down compared to the Rubicon.
There are no " Rubicon Fenders " my friend, I believe your referring to the Highline Fenders, they have the thinner shape and LED light strip. The Fenders shown here are the Recon fenders with the extended piece for the 35 inch tires.
I pick mine up this week, test drive was impressive with all the features. Bonus on mine is the custom Pumpkin Orange paint the dealer ordered just one of. I live in Corvallis OR home of the Beavers. looks great with the black trim bit and these wheels and tires.
Quadratec sells the rock sliders for $595. I'm shocked you don't get the 8.4 inch Uconnect with upgraded premium sound with this package. My wife ordered a Jeep Wrangler with the sun and sound package (sky one touch and upgraded stereo/sound.)
I wonder if they took the springs etc out of the Gladiator Mojave and set them for The Extreme Recon package... mostly because that shares the 1inch uplift.
Nice job on reviewing the features. As an owner of a ‘19 Rubicon, I can’t believe any educated buyer is buying any Wrangler or Gladiator until Jeep fixes the source of their paint blistering issue that is plaguing every year of the JL and JT. Ours had paint blistering on the hood and all 4 doors after 3 years and 20k miles. Jeep covered the repaint and they were backed up 5 months before it was our turn for the repair. The Jeep was at the body shop for 4 weeks. We have 3 friends that have JL’s (‘18, ‘19 & ‘20) and all have the same issue. One of them even has the paint blistering on the rear tailgate. I will never purchase another Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler vehicle again.
In my opinion, that’s crap. Back in the day every Jeep I owned the diff’s locked. I know it’s not your problem, just my opinion. Feel bad for people buying sports and Saha models thinking they have true 4x4’s.
Rubicon fender flares, standard extreme recon package, Dana 44s front and rear, 4.56 gearing, hard top with the sunrider feature. All sounds like a bargain to me lol.
...... There are NO standard Rubicon Fenders! Those are just the extreme Recon Fenders. The Sahara, Willes and other models have the same Fenders as the Rubicon unless you purchase the thinner Highline Fenders
But no lockers so for me because it has to have lockers I have to get a Rubicon. I'm not really a jeep guy but since Ford can no longer build the Bronco the way I want it I've been looking at the Wrangler
I replaced all my exterior lights, including tail lights, with aftermarket halo LED’s, and added a brake ring on my JK, for less than $750. Jeep Factory LED’s are $1400? Mmm?
Warranty warranty warranty, also configured from the factory...nothing gets as close to factory as factory. With so many aftermarket options it can be easy to get one that is glitchy or has issues. Just saying.
@@Circleofcycles2 My Jeep is a 2015 Wrangler, so the factory warranty wasn’t a consideration. I should have noted that I was referring to a used or older Jeep. That noted, $1400 for LED lights would give the impression that’s a cash cow option. Additionally, after market products are almost always warranted for at least a year.
A lot of people are missing key details of the HT. You get the XR package, color matched top plus the sunrider, and LEDs. I did a build order with my dealer, my High Tide is like 62.7k, we did a Willys with same options and it's 62k. Does not even have the color match roof. And the Rubi is 68k, which I don't really need the locker and disconnecting swaybar.
Hi there! I saw that you also did a review on a Rubi with the XR package. Did you get to drive them both? Leaning towards a High Tide but wanted to know if the on road driving feels the same for both cars. I got to test drive the Rubi but not the high tide.
I have not driven them down the road but considering all the suspension, wheels and tires are all pretty much the same I would doubt there would be any significant difference.
It has the same suspension as the Rubicon. Only difference between Rubicon and High Tide is the Rubicon has electronic disconnecting sway bar and lockers, High Tide has a rear limited slip only.
The only problem I have with jeeps right now is that they're charging two different prices for a particular, important, part. Sometimes they charge $2k for the 850re transmission and sometimes they charge $4.5 k. Anyone know why that is? I found out while configuring different trim models on their website
I barely paid 6k with a 2 inch lift, 35 inch tires, same recon fender flares and, put my own LED lights in the jeep, new front bumper with winch. I barely have 63k in my 2023 rubicon with locking diffs. You can get a jl mini for 300 and calibrate the speedo, and it also opens up a lot more options for a jeep in general.
I'm just about to buy my first Jeep in a few months and am highly considering the High Tide. Do you think you could fit 37's on this eventually once it's time to buy new tires or would this require doing additional work?
Saw someone disconnect newer Rubi sway bars on the 101 freeway in tempe at 65 mph, made me just cry in horror. They almost lost it but got it shut down and pulled over quick enough to not perish. Thank God above for that one. 🙏
I don't trust Consumer Reports. Been driving a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk since new, and other than a PTU replacement covered by warranty, it has only needed normal maintenance. Own a Wrangler 4xe, the build quality is great, no rattles, with 375hp it is one quick Wrangler.

Gorilla glass is GARBAGE and cracked WITHOUT being moved , during the night. Yes. Garaged and with no provocation . Fast forward two weeks later and a small rock hit it and instantly spidered. Mopar also gives you a hard time with the warranty.
I agree. I have seen just as many chipped windshields with the gorilla glass as the old windshields. It is a fancy naming gimmick. Maybe works good for cell phones but not so much for car windshields
@@Circleofcycles2 I understand but the MSRP is 50 grand so you working out paying at least 58 to 60 grand. If I paid that much for a car at least give me the one touch power roof lol

Im pretty sure they are different. The mojave actually has a spacer where as the extreme recon the sping is just longer
Nice job reviewing the High Tide. Bought a 4xe a month ago . The 4xe will be my 3rd Wrangler
I would get a 4xe. I have a short commute to work and would theoretically never need gas ro get to work ever again.
Thanks for the comment BTW!

I only saw this trim once on the road. I don’t really understand what the point of this trim is and who it is geared towards.
I think it is geared towards people that dont need a Rubicon, but want a badass looking Jeep from the factory all set to go.

It seems to be the different engines. The 2.0L engine adds $2000 with the automatic while the 3.6L adds $4250. I could be wrong, it is not clear.
