    What a story. Only cried when Michael told the story at the end. I think Sarah, although overbearing was not a bad Mom. She did not want what happened to her to happen to her son. In the end she was lucky that Charlene was so forgiving. I believe Sarah learned a hard lesson to not judge a book until you know what is inside of it. Again, thank you to the narrator, a wonderful job. 💜💜💜🌟💜💜💜

    I understand a mother's love and the need to protect her son but what Sarah did at her birthday party was crass and undignified. I used to hate my brother's wife. I thought she was only with him for money because of all the lavish gifts my brother spent on her while he was courting her. I had only found out years later, when my brother was hospitalized, that Debbie had saved his life before they started dating. The lavish gifts were my brother's way of thanking her. Since finding out the truth, I've since apologized sincerely to Debbie for my inexcusable behavior towards her. Today, we are as close as real sisters, since I've never had one. The lesson I've learned is to never judge anyone based on their upbringing or background but to try to get to know them, first.

    What an amazing story that portrays a Mother’s love & dedication for her son but how easy it is to jump to conclusions & make horrible mistakes & the regrets they bring! If Sarah had given Charlize a chance; she would have learned the truth about her future daughter-in-law & instead of regret; they could have started out with more appreciation & respect! However; in the end, Sarah understood how Steven had chosen a loving & decent woman to be his wife!
    The ending turned out so beautifully!
    I had mentioned that you should write a book or publish an audio book. This would be a perfect first story. It was long & very captivating & you could easily sell it either on your channel or on Amazon & the results would be outstanding!! You are so talented & such a great writer; you pour yourself into your stories! I for one admire you & I guarantee you that many others do as well.
    I have missed you so much & I send my love, virtual hugs & Prayers to you my dear friend. Thank you for this long story, it helped me to actually relax & occupied my mind after a very intense & hard couple of weeks. 😢 With Love, Pat

    Nice story. Very beautifully read with appropriate intonations. I only wish that the son in the story was a good one who did everything to bring joy into his mother's life who had sacrificed so much in raising him through his childhood, adolescence and even adulthood. But like in all tragedies it only left a wishful thought and that's all. I don't have the patience to carry on. I am leaving it at 1.12.09.

      The Son in the story is a good one!! Its the job of a Mother to give her childeren the best she can. It’s not the job for a adult son to sacrificed his own life to please his mother because she bring him up so good. I am a mother and I am happy when my kids are happy. Nursing is a noble and also a high education. Nurses nowadays get paid a high salary and especially those nurse practitioners. Studying in a prestige university costs lots of money.
    Finishing a degree in nursing in an ordinary college or university is fine as long as you’re able to apply your education .

    • @kitchiesmom
      @kitchiesmom 11 місяців тому +1

      All nurses have to study the basics of nursing and go through the same clinical classes. The state board of nursing determines what each nursing student must have successfully passed the classes they mandate. They must all pass the NCLEX and successfully pass and meet the requirements of the board of nursing, regardless what college they attend. The higher the degree, the more into business and leadership aspects of nursing they are trained. The basics of bedside care are taught in the first 2 years.

    What pisses me off is the fact that the son refused to tell the mom you know important information that maybe she should know he didn’t want to talk about Charlize no or did he want to talk about the time that he had and was in dire straits, and wouldn’t come home for days but for the mother to be so arrogant is really shitty She couldn’t even maybe give her the benefit of the doubt? It is the sons fault though if you think about it because he refused to talk about important information that needed to be told I mean shit the mother didn’t even know that he had been dating that Charlize girl for years. That’s wrong for son to do or daughter for that matter. Charlize saved his life. Why can’t he just admit it if he had told his mother, that Charlize it would save so much heartache

    Yea my mother-in-law did this to me to the family members when we came for a XMAS visit and talked about this lie for years. When I never visited her again she wanted to know why I didn’t come to see her. My husband’s family still believe this lie that never happened. However I realized that my husband helped spread these lies because he had many affairs. I hate them because of the way they treated me

    I have to agree with another person here that this story was way too long.

    Well!!!!! I have no words. Over an hour of my life wasted. This story could have been condensed into 30 minutes. Suffice to say I won’t be listening to any more.
