Thanks for this my grandad worked at one of the earlier plants. He spoke of some of this. He as a kid would bring beer to the guys that turned the lime in the chlorine gassing rooms. It’s great to see the stories he told filmed in good detail.He spoke of the toxic ness of the whole process. He didn’t regret the plants passing. The safety left a lot to be desired. A lot of these chemicals were stored in glass and ceramic pulled by horses and carts. Bad things happened too often. The conditions were rough on the workers.
