I have been running my Blackjack 24 for a couple months now, and all I did was replace the stuffing tube (I was messing with the stock one before I even ran it, and broke it) and put the Offshore replacement CNC prop on it, and get 36 mph on it all else stock! Just run a Hovoo (Amazon) 3s 100C pack! Absolutely love this boat!!
Got about 50-60 runs on my Shockwave 26 and uses the same strut set up and no problems at all!Just gave it to my uncle this weekend for him to enjoy❤️👍

Big B, had some great runs with my Blackjack 24 today. I finally got the CG right and beat out a friends Sonic Wake. Now I can work on my Sonic Wake. No water cooling, I listened to the former owner saying he flushed the rudder input! Wrong! I took the nipple off the rudder and something green was growing inside! I’m going to try Lime-away.
Man I ran a seaking 90aamp esc on the stock motor and runs good and added the offshore electric strut kit and flexshaft assembly and my son loves this boat❤️👍
THE speed jump is on the Mill. THE default engine will run too hot on 4 S. I went to a Leopard motor , rated for 14.4 V, and a Seawing 120 , and tied a BJ 29 stock prop in place of the BJ 24 prop. I also updated the strut to a V3. and toed netruel. I also added in line cooling systems ,, to independently cool the speed control. THE prop could be be switched to a balanced Grim Racer. Right now, I getting 34 36 Mph , on 3S and is basically floating on air. On 4 S, , it's freaking rocket. 42-45 Mph. , and nearly impossible to control. It's fun ride , but too fast for that hull. I enjoyed your video. I look forward to more.
How did you keep it on the water at the speed ? THE Miss Giego, Velos 29 , and The BJ 29, can do between 55 -98 , running a 200 Amp controller , and the 6 pole 2000 KV (3650 system, ) which shares the same motor. Running 10 to 12 S. Some peoples. kids. (lol) In the Black jack run, the guy clipped a fish, and launched the boat. It didn't go well. So, to get to 60 with the 24? Minimal 180 -300 ESC. , to be safe. GO to Traxas and/ or an EC5 connectors. . Other wise, You'll melt the battery connection. Trash the prop, and start looking at Octura balanced and sharped props, and this in case, you want Speed, not diameter . AND cupped. / OR the Grim racers. THE math. 6 S gets you to 60, on a stock setup. THE BJ 29, Miss Geigo, and Velos , skirt 60 with the stock prop. THE Grim racer , will take you over that bump. From , there it's get's weird. THE Motor change, Higher KV, will take you close to 70. Upgrade your cooling with 2 inline pick ups , and cap the Rudder line. Increase your tube size , and set two independent lines , MOTOR and speed controller . You , now have a rocket on the water! Good luck! THE Leopard motor, I was talking about. THE replacement is setup to run to run up to 8S. THE Stock BJ 24 , is wound for 3 S. So, you got some great options . One of the guys threw on some M41 stabilizer fins, and that kept the back down , and stable. Another guy set up a tandem rudder assembly. There are a lot of great mod videos out there . The guy , who showed me the Leopard upgrade, was called "Team Baxter." He also did the water inlet mods. Happy Boating ,
I bought this boat last Friday 9/17/21 I put a Dynamite 90 amp ESC in it A 4S Gens 6000 MAH Battery ! Instant 47mph on my GPS ! With a Balanced prop done by myself ! Where do you get rubber fittings for copper to up grade to cooling system ? That motor got a little Hot !!!
Be careful running stock motor with 4s high c rated battery's. The extra weight & power to the electronics can heat things up quick. Good luck brother.
Hey buddy ty for the link for the tape I some today. Hey I noticed on a couple of ur vids that u had a bit of water inside. When I first ran my blk jack I had a few drops. Now that started the Maintenance on it I'm getting more water inside. I thought the grease was supposed to act like a sealant. Any suggestions?
Bet money it's from the stuffing tube. I had the same problem dig out most of the old epoxy and pour some epoxy down where the stuffing tube goes thru. The hull. (No need to pull stuffing tube out.) Also check where the Hardware mounts to the transom proboat doesn't use any sealant on the hardware.

I know I asked you once before,but forgot to write it down...I finally ordered 2 bad ass 90c 6500mah 2s batts for my 30" motly crew cat...today I ran it on a single 4s 3300 50c..I have 180amp turnigy esc and a 1900kv 36-74 turnigy 6 pole...with a plastic 47mm 1.4 top speed was maybe 35mph..very disappointed..after 5min all temps were around 100 degrees..esc was cool..question is what prop will bring this motley crew to the 50 plus mph range and still have good hole launches..? Just tell me diameter and pitch if you can...biggest octura I have is only a 2 blade 42mm..thanks again..

Still could sharpen the rudder but I dont know if any gain what so ever. I havent sharpened any of mine. Also do you have the plug in the hull? Thats allot of water in there.
It was the stuffing tube leaking it broke loose and I didn't know it. proboat didn't seal the rudder and strut so it was leaking there too. Fixed all the leaks now she runs dry !!
Heck yea I visited your channel & subscribed. I've run that 3650 on 6s several times I believe you'll find that the weak link will be the motor bearings. Keep the videos coming

Hey Iironclad I am about to install my new flycolor 90am esc and leopard 3660 2500 kv motor. I am going to get a 4 S battery to go with it. What brand and MAH do you recommend for this setup? Also can you recommend a decent aftermarket prop that would work well with these upgrades?
What kinda boat are you running weight battery, etc. With out doing the math I'd say 50a should be good. I will message you back with a fore sure setup once I know what your working with?
It's not self rightning. It come with like a .150 flex and 5mm shaft. I'd go with a offshore electrics replacement cable shaft & strut much more common & reliable. The stock driveline is OK for up to 45-50mph.
@@Kolsch221 I have a Spektrum 8S Firma 160 amp ESC in my Veles. Stock motor handles 8S well enough. I blew the motor up though because I put a giant prop on it but if you leave the prop alone the motor will run 8S just fine
Thats right. Plus it's a lighter set up with the 2200 4s. Opposed to 8000 100c 3s lots of extra weight with full size 3s, better speed with 4s 2200 lite setup
Mah and c. basically higher mah/c rating heavier battery. Low mah/c rating lite battery. A Boat will most likely get better performance with a lighter setup. I'm was Trying to show the difference between heavy set up high voltage(5000 50c & up heavy) & same voltage lite battery (4000 30c lighter battery) weight plays a big role in a boats performance. I tried 😪
@@nageltermin725 OH the title mentioned upgrade to a 2200kv motor, if the actual rating is 2000kv so be it use that number and the rpms is way to low using 3s battery. give it a try and see what happens, I like to see all the testing, it helps me out too. good luck 👍

We pulled motor replaced the 3650 with a 3660 4350 kv at 12 volts..and put the flycolor 120 speed controller..runs great..lot faster..

Smc has a dv extreme 5200 135c 2s battery that will fit perfectly in the 24 I've got a pair I'm about to run in my bj24

do the math : 2200 x 3.7 x 3 = 24,420 rpms. 2200 x 3.7 x 4 =32, 560 rpms , which is closer to 29000 rpms which is ideal for rc boats !
