COME is a proper Prince album! Got it! Memo received! I bought that on day of release and have no idea why I've always thought it was a vault album. It did seem to come out minus any of the fanfare that normally would accompany a new Prince album. Maybe I read something that erroneously claimed it was a vault album? Who knows. But whatever, sue me. Either way, was never a huge fan of that album. It would probably rank just above Batman on this list.

Hey! I loved the Batman album! Some great stuff on there 😂 I’m with you though on Graffiti Bridge, pretty dire. Parade and Diamonds and Pearls are my favourites though.
Bro- u didn't want to do your homework why? Prince did amazing work after the 90s.. come is not a vault album at all. 1800 new funk was 90s. Emancipation was not the last album of the 90s. If you are going to discuss facts about prince please do your homework.. you seem like a good guy so no beef but do basic homework please because if you get so much wrong it makes you look stupid.
This was interesting but fun to watch. I have to respectfully disagree with 2 things, ‘Emancipation’ being the worse, and not adding ‘Come,’ to your list. That album was intended to be released by Prince because he wanted Warner Bros. to release that & ‘The Gold Experience’ on the same day. Your top 10 was solid, although I would have had ‘Purple Rain’ higher but it’s your list. Can’t be mad at ‘Parade’ coming in at number one, it’s definitely one of his best albums!
Well I couldn't rank them if I tried because I love them all except one and that's only because of the keyboard sounds he uses..And it's not a bad album at all..This is one of those artists that I never get tired of..That's just me I guess..P.S. I see you have Hunky Dory behind you. That's my favorite Bowie album and I love that and Lou Reed's Transformer equally along with Yes Fragile and the first New York Doll album and Sparks Indiscreet..They just don't make music like that anymore except for a few exceptions..
I think Batman, Diamonds and Pearls and Love Symbol are much better than many says. The kind he plays the New Jack Swing style is so special and shows he's style. If you compare this LP's with other New Jack Swing LP's you will know what i mean. But New Jack Swing is generally really underrated.
Great list! Definitely a left hook you threw me there with Parade at #1. I would have bet everything it was Sign Of The Times! But glad to see that a horrible movie didn't shake your faith in that album! I think it should have been obvious to us that Under The Cherry Moon was gonna suck when we were the only 2 people at Riverside theater on a Sunday to see it! Love the channel! I would have put Purple Rain higher though!

Good list. I get it. Not a fan of Prince's 90's music and you rank them more or less where i would. I would rank Chaos and Disorder above Diamonds and Pearls but overall i am with you.
This was awesome. I stopped paying attention after Diamonds and Pearls. I also sold my Black Album CD to Amoeba for peanuts out of desperation, and still regret it. I’m probably more norm-core with my fave, yes it’s Purple Rain. For You is up there. Basically I love and can listen everything front to back up to Graffiti Bridge, skip ahead to the Love Symbol, and then I’m out. The first Time record deserves honorable mention. He should have kept Cool for himself.
Thank you! I recommend Chaos & Disorder. You may just dig it. Planet Earth is a surprisingly good later album that would have ranked relatively high-ish on my list had I gone that deep in this video.
We're either the same age or came upon Prince from the same album (1999) and moved forward (and backward) in time at almost literally the same way. Anyway, nice video!
Lol, I can't believe how similar our tastes are with regards to his catalog! I too can't really differentiate from his post 2k albums as they're just a mish mash to my ear when compared to his earlier works. I'm literally in the process of ranking my fav Prince track for each album. I went 70/80's then 90's and now working on 00/10s and I feel the same way.... it feels like work after awhile having to listen to all of this 'filler' basically. The songs aren't there, maybe 2-3 per album but it's just quantity, not quality.
I disagree with you with respect to Emancipation. I agree in that I didn’t like it at first either but I came to see that there are some absolute gems on that album like Courtin’ Time, Damned If I Do, In This Bed I Scream, Emale, Soul Sanctuary, Curious Child, Dreamin’ About U, Joint 2 Joint, The Holy River, Face Down, Style, The Love We Make, etc.
It’s always fun watching Prince fans rank his albums. Here are my first six ranked. From 1978 to 1987,Prince was so creative and at his very best...he was in a musical zone!!
I disagree with about 90% of what you Saud. I think your expecting Prince to keep making the same stuff

The best Prince`s albums are: Lovesexy, Sign O`the Times and finally Purple Rain plus naturally 1999. In the 21st century he had also some good stuff
The Controversy poster is included in the vinyl rerelease = same for Purple Rain.
