Sam, First of all: thank you very much for your videos. I have a question: how to fit the bass with the lead? I mean, do you have to choose between a lead and the bass? Makes me a little confuse because both are super in the face, super loud; how should I work with both? Thanks!
I dont´t understad why i have to set my oscillator octaves at -3 to sounds like your. This occur even when i writting midi in C3-C4. if i dont´s set -3 oct sounds like your preset one octative higher. what is happening?
Hey love, I've been looking all over for a tutorial like this that shows how to make a tech house sound like the one in Berghain by Mikkel Øwre or Dark Sun by Mert Sun: they're really dope but surely basic synth basses so I'm sure a lot of people will benefit getting behind the secret of that sound design :) I'd be endlessly stoked if you made an additional Serum tutorial concering that one. Thank you so much!
Whatup homie how ya doin? I just feel someone should let you know, you’re not lowering a pitch negative two octaves. When it’s seen in writing, that minus symbol means you’re dropping a pitch down 2 octaves from the tonic and if it were a plus sign before whatever number, that signifies a pitch ascending by that many octaves.
Also just passed a section where you mentioned ‘polar, uni-polar and bi-polar’? Never heard those terms before in this application so feel free to teach me a thing or two that’d be much appreciated
@@DougieD_Funk uni polar means it just goes one way, so if I for example lfo the pitch uni polar, that means that means the pitch bend goes only once. Bi polar means it does the lfo from left to right, then right to left again :)
check out my comment for time stamps, he shows his patch in the beginning then makes a shittier version of that patch. clearly does not give a shit about our time and just wants clicks
the make me feel bass sounds nothing like it did in the beginning of the video, if you look at a before and after (1:05 and 3:37) you can see the difference in serum, and at 0:57 and 3:44 you can hear the difference. i generally like your sound design tutorials but this was just straight up a waste of time
Wow, thanks so much! I've been banging my head against the wall for over a year trying to do this. This video is perfect.

Would you show how to make the bass from Kill For Your Love by labrinth
Anyone else has notice that the saw wave in basic shapes sounds different than the default wave form?🤔
I think the basic shapes saw is based on an analog waveform
@@Flux_One ah, nice to know. Thank you

🔥 DOWNLOAD THESE PRESETS: found.ee/49nSH8
These presets do not sound the same on they own when played in DAW, i wish you've shared mix bus chains...
check out my comment for time stamps, he shows his patch in the beginning then makes a shittier version of that patch. clearly does not give a shit about our time and just wants clicks
Do they ever?
