    A heated filament storage box is such an obviously useful and inexpensive innovation that it's difficult to believe that budget consumer printers didn't offer it sooner. Kudos to Anycubic.

      the obivus advantage is also that u wont ever need to dry the filament since the ams will keep it dry forever. This kind of dryer is usefull to keep the filament dry but not to dry it tho.

      My best guess is because the majority will use PLA which for the most part is not hydroscopic, however it will be more helpful with your drying materials like PETG

      ❤ having had many Anycubic printers, size was always the deciding factor. I very much look forward to seeing the larger size with filament drying.
      With the higher temperature hotend combined with active drying, 300^3 (or more) and active heated chamber possibly… it would probably be the direction I go instead of the X1C.

      @milospavlovic7520 Місяць тому

      @@802Garage Nice to know. But the effect is ultimately the same, only Prussa will need some more time for the printer to reach the desired temperature. However, the other function that this solution enables but generally haven't seen on other printers is printing PLA and PETG without bothering with opening the chamber. Sure, sounds silly, but it's one less thing to think about, and also you can for example easily shatter the top glass cover from Qidi 4 plus while it's put away, or hit the open door of the printer while it's printing. Not saying it's a big problem, but I am certain it will happen to someone

    Real question I don’t know that anyone is addressing with the ACE pro: since it’s a single unit box capable of drying all 4 spools, what if you say leave one of your favorite filaments in the ACE and keep running the drying cycle? Many of us know that doing this will ruin a spool, unless it’s gotten re-hydrated and is very hygroscopic to begin with - you can over dry filament and make it problematic. Additionally - you shouldn’t run like a drying cycle for ABS/ASA with PLA in the box, doing so could melt or ruin a spool of PLA. No one is talking about this I’ve seen.

    @xantrax9359 Місяць тому

    OK, things I don't like (and I think they should reconsider change something about that before release) about this printer after collecting all the data I found:
    1. ACE standing directly on top of the glass. Same problem as on current Bambu CoreXY, where you need to print riser to have a chance to lift the glass top for additional ventilation,
    2. Door opening 90 degree not full 180. TBH, they should let this doors open at 270 degree to make them stick to the side. You can do it with some 3D printed parts on Bambu printers.
    3. Next different toolhead. Now you have 3 new printers (Kobra 3, Kobra 3 MAX, Kobra S1) and all of them with different toolheads!!!
    4. Even the print plate is same size as on Kobra 3, it has different cut outs. Are they compatible?
    5. No option for heated chamber.
    6. Power consumption!!! In other material from Formnex, one of the youtuber said it uses 1500W during preheat in european 230V bed heaters setup!!! With 8 colors printing and 2 ACE units consuming 240W during drying it is 2000W!!! Crazy if you compare it to Prusa Core One, where Prusa decided to stay with their passive cooled 240W PSU. Mind at home in EU we are using 16A fuses, so after start your printer anything above 1700W at same line (second Kobra S1 with ACE, hair dryer, stronger vacuum cleaner, electric heater, kettle, few gaming PCs at home, home cinema with projector, not even mention washing machine, owen, cloth dryer or any combination of them) will blow your fuses immediately!
    Are this printers final production machines or there is still a chance for changes before release?

    • @JanBuschman

    this looks like a quality printer with all the latest bells and whistles. but for those who can afford it and want a much bigger print bed with all of the same strappings, including the multi-color printing (up to 16 colors), i would recommend the Creality K2 Plus. (its $1.5k, discounted of course)

      @@eng.Georgi_Hristozov The fact that it at least has drier inside it (prove me I'm wrong if AMS has drier, I don't have the machine) could even save more than $100. The biggest improvement is not the functions but copy exact same functions and slap a much cheaper price is beneficial for users, at least easy on pocket.

      @@stickercambodiaI'm happy from Anycubic's printers, I have two resin 3DP, and very very happy from the X6KS. Also their machines are good quality for the price. Also small multicolor machine is good to have, due to space limitations. For bigger printers I need separate room only for them. But it will be unique if the Cobra 3 Combo, had AMS which can print multicolor flexibles.
