    I don't know where else to share this, so I'll share it here - feel free to re-use at will :) I have to say that my black Lift Arc pocket tee (which I am wearing today) has to be the highest-quality merch-type shirt that I own. It has a boatload of softness, a bit of stretch, and seems like it is going to be as durable as hell. As much as I would not normally make a big deal out of buying a $30 t-shirt, I'm glad I did. Thanks!

    Consider renting a mini digger with a rock breaker attachment,
    Very handy for digging the holes and breaking any large rocks down.
    They're usually pretty reasonably priced for a day's rental.
    You could also use it to push the posts into the ground in a pinch.

    This was just enough banter not too much. Good video, great work. It almost seems like prerusting and clear coat might be a good option so it doesn't rust too much in spots where water might pool but I could be wrong.

    the spears and hoops should be welded on top og the flatbar, because now it will collect water and dirt in the hole and facilitate corrosion. even tho the customer wanted a rusted patina i can't imagine they want the spear to rust off.. also should make drain holes in the squre tube posts so water can find a way out, it will always find a way in.

      Digging services such as 811, DigRight, Julie, etc. do not mark private lines. That means they stop at the meter or pole which are generally by the road. Private service lines are the responsibility of the property owner to locate.

    What a train-wreck. A two-story home with Italian villa roof and an American colonial roof on a lean to addition perched on stilts, for some reason with post modern windows and two different types of lap siding, now with traditional Victorian style hoop and spear fencing made out of steel at a cost of $1000/ln ft. Some people have more money than they have sense.

      Listen, just because you can afford to pay for all your dreams, doesn't mean they all match! When I bought my house it was originally a MCM build in 61, that someone in their excellent taste, decided the interior needed to be what I can only loosely refer to as "Tuscan" styled and made it look like a cheap Olive Garden.

      @@LiftArcStudios I design and engineer roof trusses and floor trusses both for new construction and remodels. I service both commercial and residential builders. I see 20 or 30 plans a week and continually shake my head. I have no clue what is being taught in architecture school. Don’t get me wrong, It’s nothing personal. I don’t sit up at night seething with architectural anger. I however, I am saddened to see so much money spent on a beautiful homes that could be truly spectacular if only proportion and style were considered more. This goes for most houses built after 1940.

    • @melgross
      @melgross 3 місяці тому

      @@budhrseh2001most homes aren’t architect designed. And often, when they are it’s just the bare bones and the local contractor does all the rest. Frank Loyd Wright used to work that way. It’s one reason so many of his homes fell apart. I think it was for Falling /water, that he designed one of the first fluorescent tube entranceways. Looks great with the glass blocks. But they found, what the tube went, that there was no way to replace the tube without breaking the wall. There are plenty of other boners he made. So it’s not architects today. It’s architects that do t really care.

      Please do not split projects into multiple videos at editing. I understand installments for multi-month projects, but dividing for the sake of dividing breaks train of thought. I much prefer getting a complete story in an hour rather than rolling my eyes at a short video's weak artificial cliffhanger. The cliffhanger puts work on viewers to search or wait for answers to project challenges. I find I stop watching creators who divide streams of thought unnecessarily.
