But if you're not happy in a marriage, and clearly with his drinking and alleged cheating he wasn't, what choice do you have? It doesn't matter who filed first, they both agreed, but it dragged on for three years by Garner to see if they can try to make it work, but it couldn't. Bottom line is yes, Ben loved Garner but in my opinion, wasn't IN love with her like he was with JLo and vice verse, based off their history and interviews, I'm not far off.
