Obituary for Michael J. Quayle
Riga, passed away on October 2, 2024 at the age of 58. Mike was born on November 11, 1965 (Veterans Day). He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deborah and Son, Patrick (A.K.A P. Man); parents, James and Theresa Quayle; sister, Pamela (Bradley) Warner; several cousins, nieces, nephews; dear friends, Dale Adams, Mike Ward and many friends.
Mike retired after 33 years with Monroe County Department of Environmental Services. He went back to work for the counties Park Department at Churchville Golf Course.
Mike’s passion was family, hunting, fishing and being a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan. He enjoyed a good game of Euchre or Poker with a Blue Light by his side. He loved being a coach for Patrick’s soccer team and loved watching him in his other sports he was involved in.
Mike passed away peacefully, after fighting a 15 month hard battle against Esophageal Cancer.
The family would like to thank Unity Hospital, 4400 staff for their exceptional and compassionate care that they had provided to Mike and his family. They laughed with us and cried with us. It was very touching.
Mike’s visitation will be held at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, 15 West Avenue, Spencerport, NY 14559 on October 6th from 10am-1pm with the memorial service to follow. The graveside service will follow the memorial service at Riga Cemetery, on Route 36, Churchville, NY 14428.
