Think they were going for upgrades that kept the spirit of the deck but doesn’t make her semi-cEDH. Could easily upgrade this thing to have a few infinite win combos for like $100 on turn 4 or 5 but most non cEDH tables won’t like it very much
It mostly only needs just the fast mana to cast her combos even earlier and be decent in cedh which is a good thing as a deck to play in commander overall but a huge missmatch if you intend to play upgraded precons aginst each other since I don't feel many would measure up in terms of preparing for a turn 3/4 win attempt. EDIT: I'm not sure why you went for Spellseeker instead of Muddle the Mixture or Merchant Scroll, guessing is to have one more chump blocker if needed?
Edit: Ah, never mind, after watching the $100 upgrade match i see it's basically praying for a loop payoff. If thats the case I'm unsure why the fealty card isnt in here also. Unfortunately in my playgroup we limit loop combos to 3, otherwise its just stupid and unfun, and as we all know, we're playing for fun. Eh, this one's tough because there's so many good red and blue spells. But, where's the damage coming from? Theres virtually no creatures in the deck, and the ones that are are benefiting you by either cast reduction or damage, but they're only 1/1, or MAYBE 2. Did i just miss the damage output cards here? Were not winning by just drawing cards if theres only 1 or 2 damage spells, especially discarding the card that pumps for each card discarded from your hand. Drawing 25 cards, then playing the card to pump for discard and swinging in with a few 30/1 creatures could do it. Id be interested in seeing the upgrade play videos. In the few games i played with this deck out of the box it was a squeak by with little ticks of damage and me almost dead by the end. Usually i love these upgrade videos, but i think maybe i missed what stevens goal was here.
Was the point of this upgrade not to include that many infinite combos? Feels like there is a lot of stuff missing that goes infinite. For example twisted, twitch, refocus
It's missing the fast mana package (Lotus petal, mana vault, mana crypt, ancient tomb, Lion's Eye, mox diamond, jeweled lotus) No bans CEDH would include reserved list power (Ancestral Recall, time walk, black lotus, mox ruby, mox sapphire, tolarian academy)
Fast mana, heavy counters, free interaction package and take out the things that take you away from comboing early. Basically wanna go pedal to gas for combo t3-t4 with responses in hand.
cEDH has a few things you need. 1. Fast mana. There is no gameplan that works if you are 2-3 mana per turn slower than the table. 2. High power interaction. Winning requires stopping other people from winning before you. 3. Many Tutors because there is no deck in the game that can reliably draw their wincons in time without tutoring. 4. A main wincon that goes off between turns 3-6. If you are trying to win on turn 6 you need quite a bit of interaction or stax to not have already lost before then. The wincon is usually some infinite or a combo that ends with a card that says "you win the game". Because creature damage is very very very hard to win a game with fast enough.
Steven, with the way you built this deck, I need to know who hurt you? This deck is nasty
This deck, too me, is the obvious winner between these precons. I don’t play izzet but this deck is nasty
I love this upgrade guide but how could yall forget about twisted fealty?

Just add brain freeze.
What do you guys think about replacing Birgi with Ashling, Flame Dancer?
Does this deck needs any kind of wrath? Like how do you get rid of a sheoldred?
So is the main idea for your
Bios to infinite loop ?
I was making a Grixis spellslinger deck, then Stella was spoiled. Soooo for now, I’m playing Izzet
why wouldnt you add Boseiju who Shelters All to protect your spells?
Hey you guys should do a cedh Stella Lee video

Infinite combos are great for tournaments but honestly just suck when playing with friends just trying to have fun, imho
Question. Would red gob work well with this deck?
Finally 😭🔥
Winged Boots plus Spellskite is too good to not include.
Why would you take out Cascade Bluffs? That land is top notch for a deck that includes Niv-Mizzet Parun with it's UUURRR mana cost, smh.
what upgrades does it need to be cedh??

I like the upgrades and stuff, but there is no need for both of these guys to be here, lol.
They need to ban this commander already smh
my pod is sick of getting twisted fealtied. you too? LOL
