Have the book and been slowly looking through the recipes. Cant wait to be able to go camping again and try a few. That steak wouldnt have lasted a second if i left it unattended with my dog around, the poor starving, under fed thing that she always is :). Well done to Fred for not eating everything, hopefully he did get a good feed.
That looks awesome. Perfectly cooked wagyu. New camera seems to be clearer and crisper. Anyone who eats their meat well done needs to go sit back down with their Bacardi Breezers and take notes.
Oh man, I can taste that from here. I often use red onion and grated red cabbage with red wine vinegar and mixed fruit jam and then Emantaler instead of cheddar.
Whenever I head to WA, I get a case of Colonial IPA. It is the best beer on the planet. In fact I think I will plan a trip back there now. WA here I come.
I don't get why folks have such a hard time with steaks. Or why people think that they 'have the proper way' to cook them. Just cook them until you're happy with it. You don't have to be a pro or anything. I make steak sandwiches for the family about 2-3 times a month. I cook the steak up on the gas grill. I used to coat them with BBQ sauce. But I now just put a seasoning called "Stan's Stuff" from Panama City, Florida (USA). Then add a little extra salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Then cook. My wife doesn't like them rare so I cook them just a little over medium, but still juicy. In parallel, I fry up some onions, and tomatoes (that have a sprinkle of salt, pepper, and garlic powder) in butter and a little olive oil. Sometimes I'll do a jalepeno pepper as well. The bread, I use a rustic or farmhouse white bread. I cover with butter and a light coating of garlic powder. Then toad with Muenster cheese on one side. When putting together, I put a little mayo on it (and maybe a little dijon mustard if we have any). No greens. That's crazy! Add some baked beans on the side. Maybe watermelon. Maybe corn on the cob (cooked on the grill, too). Maybe an artichoke. Heaven!
Just bought the book! Love the ribbon!Thinking we need to get you sponsored for both salt and pepper after the last two episodes! Keep the great content coming, keen to see your summer series do we move to Webber’s?
Oh no, how could you forget the cheese? :) Looks delicious and I have some nice steak in the fridge right now... I thought you were the one who showed us that cold oil chips worked in another video. I always feel sorry for Fred, his nose just inches from that delicious food. Good job you mentioned your book, I hadn't got round to ordering one but finally did even though I am still paying off my new laptop - oh well can't wait any longer to see all those food pron piccys LOL
Hey mate, when your cooking over the fire with your braai grid how do you prevent the metal from warping?, i have one and theres a bulge in the middle from the heat?, love your videos and most certainly love your cook book as i do a cook up every sat night🍻👌🏼
Awesome video. I love your style. I also really love the b-roll with that classical music at the end - what a superb touch...I feel it demonstrates the artistry of what you do and its so important to admire all your hard work and the end result before you eat it...and that's something very important which you do (and others don't) which better connects the viewers to your food - THANK YOU! Hey, a couple of quick questions if that's ok. (1) Do you feel it would be better to sear the steak on a cast iron grill - that way you get more hot surface area touching the steak and more crust from the mallard reaction? Only down side of this is that you lose the smokiness on the steak. (2) Do you feel it's a good thing to rub olive oil on the steak after patting it dry so that the salt and pepper stick to it more? Thanks again and can't way to see version 2 with the cheese and tomato's lol!
The fire was pretty hot that he needed to get the gloves. I reckon it will sear the steak. And good questions you ask as Harry has rubbed olive oil on his steaks in other videos. Can't wait for the second one later with the cheese. Harry may explain oiling the steak for the seasoning to stick.
Just wondering is there a ( I forgot this ) section in your book ? Love your work keep it up, and for goodness sake make Fred a meal his 👀 are killing me 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Funny thing: I just saw one of Ronny's old videos from 2017 where you were both making jaffles and you asked if anyone knew where to get a new grill basket... guess you found them!
I would come to the 4WD & Adventure Show, but, you know, lockdowns and shit. By the way, when you revisit steak sandwiches, it will need to involve at least two cheeses to make up for the missing cheese this time.
11:46 Just as you were making the point about people hate raw steak, a bug was crawling across the raw part of the steak, and you squashed it into the sandwich and put it into the braai 😐😅
I just finished a massive dinner, then watched this and now I'm hungry again you b@stard..... Harry have you tried putting mayo on the outside of the steak sanga before toasting it (or for any toastie for that matter)? Mayo has a higher smoke point than butter so it won't burn as quick, plus the oil and egg in it brown nicely and add a creamy flavor to the crust. Give it a crack
A decent vet could bring that steak back to life 😂 awesome episode as always mate
Mate so glad I bought your book! Mostly purchased to support you but I have found it to bloody awesome. Cheers
Same as last caramelised onions lol diced the first half I think it was the breakfast sandwich video
love you work man
Gotta be said……poor Fred
Loving the new camera angle on the chopping board. It shows some technique without you having to explain 👏🏽👏🏽
That cross section shot…👌. Magnificent.
glad your book is selling well. We love ours. You should be very proud of it. Congratulations.
Give doggo some!
New setup/cameras look sweet. super sharp. Note to self don't watch an episode on an empty stomach...
This steak reminds me of Tasmania....
Mainly because its in bread.
I cant believe anyone would dislike this video...
Always look forward to your B Roll & you nailed it with the cross section 🍻
The depth of field + bokeh on this video is classy.

“I have fresh salt” best quote of the ep.
I thought he was going to pull out his little baggie of "definitely not drugs" 🤣
Fire To Fork cookbook is amazing!!! so keen to try the steak sandwich & fries whoohoo bring it on!!
my mouth is watering. mmmmm.
That looked GOOD , you need to have a word to Colonial they've stopped making the Hazy IPA which was my favorite one closely followed by the IPA.
Oh man, I can taste that from here. I often use red onion and grated red cabbage with red wine vinegar and mixed fruit jam and then Emantaler instead of cheddar.
Just bought my tickets now mate, this is going to be my first 4x4 show. Looking forward to meeting you and getting a copy of your book :)
8 o’clock in the morning and I’m thinking about steak sanger’s 🤤🤤🤤
Just ordered my book. If it arrives in time hopefully I'll see you at the 4x4 show.
Whenever I head to WA, I get a case of Colonial IPA. It is the best beer on the planet. In fact I think I will plan a trip back there now. WA here I come.
Cant wait to meet Fred.
I reckon that was your most luxurious length B roll yet haha.
Looks delicious I'll get the book out and try it on the weekend.

10/10. Rustic deliciousness 👌
That looks amazing mate. No one does gratuitous B roll like Harry!!!! Cheers Steve
Cooked to perfection
Dude that's the best. I'm getting your book
Great pairing with the colonial. Will make this in my air conditioned kitchen 😊
Making me uber hungry, but 8:52am is too early to have lunch. PS: Loving the gear you cook with, gotta save up and get me some. Cheers Michael
It’s like 6:30am and now all I want is a steak sandwich haha
Could we have a minutes silence for the cheese. Great Sanga even without the cheese.
Anyone see the extra bit of flavour crawling on the bottom piece of steak @11:48
The music gives Hannibal Lecter vibes. I feel bad for the dog.
Awesome and can’t wait to make it
New camera and angle is a winner, who forgets cheese on a steak sandwich
I like to almost burn the butter in the onions and deglaze with beer. Yummm
Ohhh your poor doggy!! LOL!! P.S...The Picnic at Hanging Rock music was a nice touch by the way!! LOL!!
0:23 "rarely done well"...good one :P
Its may 11, 2022 they have your book on Amazon. No worries. Handmade grinders $115? Not cheap, no kidding
am I the only one that spotted the bug cruising down the steak at 11:49? extra protein
love your honest way of doing what you are doing... "sorry guyes, no cheese"
cheers from europe.
YUM!!! Perfectly cooked steak.
Just bought the book! Love the ribbon!Thinking we need to get you sponsored for both salt and pepper after the last two episodes!

Can’t believe you left Fred hanging 😂
At 11:50 a bug crawled into your spinach haha double down on protein looks good
Great episode! Enjoyed the change in cameras too. Shame about the cheese 😂
Cheers H!
I am really surprised that Fred did not chomp into that when you turned away.
Hearing the visceral crunch of that sandwich was a sexual experience that I’ll never forget
I remember another classic Aussie cook making commercials about not forgetting cheese…
Mmm that looks so tasty! I need to try some of these recipes
Looks amazing, what cheese were you planning on putting on it?
looks bloody good mate . Great video 🇦🇺❤👍🍻
Great Steak Sandwich 👍😎
Drunk Harry probably bought the salt

I love that clever....where did you get it ?
Forgetting stuff... new dad brain. Don't worry, it only gets worse
Nice!!!! What have you don't with the camera set-up?
awesome vids mate, cheers
That cross section was amazing, would have been 100% with a good cheese stretch.

Harry love your work!! Looking forward to catching you at the 4wd show in Adelaide, PS what time will lunch be?? Haha
Next, a short video on "Oh damn I forgot........" maybe not so short. the chips look great, Cheers.
As always Harry, looks very tasty. Btw, do you have a recipe for your own Chicken Salt for chips?. Cheers Tony
hell yeah
Where do you get your grinders from man?
In the words of Peter Russell Clarke, "Where's the Cheese?"
Yeah, where is he now?
Awesome camera setup. Mouth watering. Wish you had cheese haha.
Breakfast beers for days! But you need a fire
That looks the best!.... what size Crashpod is that on the table?.... the small?
Ohhhh yeah.....loving your book too man..... arrived last week
Medium mate. Cheers!
Just wondering is there a ( I forgot this ) section in your book ? Love your work keep it up, and for goodness sake make Fred a meal his 👀 are killing me 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love this but please find away for us UK fans to get the book at sensible prices !!
What’s the camera change up Harry?
Funny thing: I just saw one of Ronny's old videos from 2017 where you were both making jaffles and you asked if anyone knew where to get a new grill basket... guess you found them!
No cheese! Give yourself an uppercut Harry!
Sooo F**King hungry now!!
Great sandwich , just need a runny egg on top of the bacon 🥓 yummy
Just got the book will give steak sandwich a go with cheese though 🤪👍😎
Camera quality looks great
Damn good!
Some good “bread in common” there! 😅
I'm triggered by the ant that crawled into the sanga when you put the bacon on
But awesome job lad, looks epic
Have you driven the LC 300?
Yes. I have lots of thoughts but won’t be getting one
@@firetofork I drove 1 on Monday, great engine/gearbox but the hatch is worse than both Prado hinge & 200 tailgate.
Thought the same thing!
It’s still raw but good
Anyone else notice the bug on the side of the steak that then crawls into the sanga at 11:50
I would come to the 4WD & Adventure Show, but, you know, lockdowns and shit.

I would come to the show, too, but oceans are in my way. If I could drive to Perth...maybe if I install a snorkel?
@@utahjohnnymontana3373 They should let the people with the double jab come I reckon.
Did anyone else see the bug on the bottom slice of steak crawl into the sandwich @11:48? A little extra flavour?
Oh wait, it falls back out at @12:09
where is the horseradish!! essential on a steak sandwich imo
You just cost me close to $600 - thanks mate! (See you soon in WA)
That cross section footage was food porn at its finest! And thank god you didn’t forget the beer mate 🤙
aw cmon man, you can cook a MBS 8-9 Wagyu Scotch within an inch of its life and it will still taste amazing
11:46 Just as you were making the point about people hate raw steak, a bug was crawling across the raw part of the steak, and you squashed it into the sandwich and put it into the braai 😐😅
