- This travel vlog shows my journey through Nicaragua. I visit the beautiful town of Granada, then begin the three day expedition to Little Corn Island. On my trip I will pass through Managua, Bluefields, and Big Corn Island.
I travel across the country of Nicaragua, using the least expensive methods possible, which led me to riding on a local chicken bus, getting sea sick on a cargo ship, and going through some of the rougher areas I've visited.
The people of Nicaragua were some of the nicest people that I have met in all of my travel. This is an awesome adventure of a trip for anyone looking to get way off the beaten path.
The chicken bus ride cost me about $10 and the ferry was about the same. The ferry only went from Bluefields, Nicaragua to Big Corn Island once a week, so you didn't want to miss it. Yeah it was a cool experience. And oh yeah! I’ve got quite a few for corn island. It’s prolly my second favorite place I’ve been, after the Himalayas.
Hey BTW I have been trying to find a song I heard on Little Corn since I left. Part of it goes like "what's your mama doin?, mind ya fu**in business....," and that's kind of the gist of the song haha Do you happen to know this song?
