Strut and tie modeling provides an excellent holistic tool for the straight forward solution of any structural concrete design problem. Traditional sectional design is thoroughly covered in a structural engineering curriculum; unfortunately, typically strut and tie modeling is only briefly touched on at the university level. This web seminar demystify the underlying principles behind the design and detailing of reinforced concrete elements utilizing ACI 318-14’s strut and tie modeling procedures.
