@@rcs8240 I have banked 600-1 800-1 twice super triple. I know this triple triple has screwed me. This is my theory I win in video poker at places I’ve won at you have to feel comfortable in your element on a machine you’ve won at to take a loss to win. If you play some random machine you never played before especially high limit you’ll get annihilated. I win at rampart because I’m comfortable there I’ve won a lot in video poker. You put money in $300 wait am I playing for fun or I have to win if you have to win it’s money you can’t afford to lose you’ll lose I see patterns on machines I lose at because I’m not comfortable playing them

May be a dumb question but how do you pick a machine? I know you pick the one with best paying odds but how do you decide what machine you’re going to play even when you’re odds are good.
Anything with Super in it, I try to stay away from.

Fairly normal session. You lucked out at the end. Those quads sometimes never show up. At these bet levels the money can disappear real fast.
Ok am I may be wrong but doesn't the RNG cycle through different hands every millisecond? If that is true once you changed your hold the draw cards would be different?

Brutal session
So, that hand where you kept the 10’s instead of the 3 to the straight flush. You wouldn’t have hit it. I myself for a long time thought that the way video poker works is it deals off the deck, meaning that if you discard 3 cards it then deals the next 3 cards off the deck. When I worked at what was at the time Imperial Palace in Vegas the slot tech on graveyard shift told me that how the machines work is that they deal 5 cards face up and 5 cards face down on the deal. The cards that get discarded get replaced with the downcards underneath them. Hope that makes sense. Either way, still a slap in the face when you see something like that lol.

it matters not if cards shuffle in between first five offered, we hit some and miss some, you push button and find out if win or not, slot tech blowing sunshine up yours, imho
Switch machines! RNG or not...shake it up with a new machine!
Maybe change games and or machines after the first few thousand dollars...
The most critical thing when playing video poker apart from playing the right strategy is being able to spot a loosing streak and bet the least amount possible and just ride the wave. With my online video poker, it is 25 cents.
If you see no matter what you hold it is still a loosing hand then you are on a loosing streak and you need to ride the wave and stop hoping that a winning hand of consequence will come.

Its your money.we all play differently. I never hold 2 face cards,unless they are suited.holding a jack and a ace is pointless. Yeah you may break even on that hand,other then that its not a smart play.ive hit 2 royals just holding a single card,I know they don't come often enough, but on those plays if I would of held 2 face cards I wouldn't of gotten the royal.i do enjoy your videos nevertheless, thanks for sharing them with us
I 100% agree. I simply don't understand the strategy behind that. He is essentially giving up ANY possibility of a Royal Flush--or even ANY flush, for that matter--and he's reducing his odds of a Four J,Q,K's. He also has a tendency of holding unsuited face cards, but discarding an Ace, even when he plays V,.P that pays 4,000 or 2,000 for Four Aces with 2, 3 or 4. It seems to me that he should focus more on those high end hits [in this game, 4,000; 1,000; 800, 600 & 250] and forget about essentially going for Jacks or Better (10 credits). It may appear to keep him playing a bit longer, but as we see here, it ultimately simply results in a slow death. In short, he's got the bankroll, he should focus on the big wins. Luckily, for him, he does seem to do well overall in spite of himself...but you can only depend on luck for so long.
I thought we played similar but there were a ton of pairs that you were breaking up and going for 4 card straights. Maybe I’ve been playing it wrong and didn’t realize it.

The equity in the full house makes it worth it in most games
Tough one to even watch Andrew. Casinos can say they can't shut certain games down(wether its Video Poker, Konami, IGT) if they see them paying out to much but when you have played them for years you can tell the difference between a cold machine and one that just seems off.
The games that only pay 1 for 1 on two pair only work out if you get 4 of a kind. And you're not likely to get 4 of a kind.

I thought that might be the case but I couldn’t find any Information on it that night and with the fully worth 45 I expected to to be close
