At 36W 31S there is a nice wide open, flat space. I've started building a base camp there, and you're free to run around without fear of being attacked by a puma or jaguar. Of course that's AFTER you take care of the natives..
I built my animal pen and left the gate open with the watering and feed troughs full. A Tapir wandered in to eat. I just walked up and closed the gate. No need to capture this one! lol. I built my base on Anaconda Island with a farm on the east side of the lake across from the island.
Yep we talk about the best food for them in an episode, can’t remember which one it is in this series. The little citrus fruits that come in 3s are really good as well.
I have played my fair share of the update like i have 10+ hours and you have chosen a very good place as i have set a big base right there where you have the animal pen … there is a (hive spawn) (wink wink) (that is for your next video) near the poison dart frogs area behind camp and a fair bit of foliage all around to feed the animals but they do like to eat alot and drink but you got lucky by having a rainy season for the food it is around 30 minutes i noticed to feed and fill the food thingy other that i will advise to have like alot of big planters to help feed the animals and yourself like bananas and the nuts trees and have a good use for the animal dodo as they poop alot so you will have a place to use them instead of destroying it and you get food for life other than that i advise to never have more than a male and a female in the pen as they need alot of care so when they breed try to see the gender by the symbol above the head and kill the same gender of the big animal but not inside the pen call it somewhere far so you dont lose trust on your animals in pen ( sorry if i burned anything for your next video just rying to help you and your viewers because i really love your videos amd i enjoyed them alot until i could get a pc build and play the game, I’m a new gamer and my world save is only a 45 days old but because of your videos and the info you give i only have like 2 deaths for a first gameplay and world) thanks for the great content (pin the comment if you feel your viewers will benefit from the info drop)

I only just started playing after this update, but based on notes and common sense I never would grab the tree frog because I wasn't prepared for poison yet, but if I kill it first and then pick up the body it seems to not hurt me? Give it a shot!

finally! im so interested to know where this is going. months ago we were all speculating about blowguns and poison...well there it is! you see what comes from you trying to make those frogs extinct? frog stretcher is a bit much seeing how you had to pick it up in the first place...just throw a rock at him and pick him up with a leaf or something. but can you shoot any animal with those darts? what about a caiman? can you raise baby crocs or jaguars?
I haven't played with it that far yet but I read the patch notes and it stated non-prey animals will stay asleep more... long term, if you catch my drift.

Im on PC and I see that darts and dart blowpipe the weapon to fire them are in my book tells how to make them, I made the darts. But I don't have the recipe for a frog stretcher. It says four small sticks and a rope but when I try crafting that nothing will craft. I also have the bee hive I made a few of those but no animal pen in my book. I can't make a blowpipe either. I picked up a long bamboo stick and a short bamboo stick and no new notebook entries. So idk what's going on. I also have the pottery table built and have made pottery. Ideas? Game says it's fully updated. I can't make a dart blowpipe I can't make a animal pen or a frog stretcher.
Check your notebook under the Traps tab. The frog stretcher is there. Once you place the blueprint then put the materials in there. Once you have that you should be able to make the blowpipe. If you can't then reply to this message or talk to me in Discord! Good luck!

Hello! I'm going to try to help without spoiling anything. No, you do not need to find a location but you do need to unlock it by way of discovery first (not in story mode). It's a crucial component of the pottery table. 😁
Not yet. Console just received the SOA3 update. I’m still waiting on this year’s roadmap. Creepy Jar let me know they are hard at work at it and will be putting it out as soon as possible!
I've never played through tourist, but I imagine poison is still poison there. 😁 I will say this, it's pretty hard to die from poison on the other difficulty modes too.
They haven't updated the roadmap for console on animal husbandry, only SOA3. My guess would be sometime in early 2023 if it doesn't come with the SOA3 console update later this year.
@@BeachyBird6986 they are good for food and the droppings for the planters used as fertilizers and the bones for armor and tools so they are like a cretical game aspect

Ahh that's a bladed ax. To make it you need a stick and 3 stone blades. It looks pretty mean!

I have found an abundance of locations with Dart Frogs. Not sure if they added them, I forget everything.
