  • During a scouting visit to Dinosaur Provincial Park in 2021, a University of Reading volunteer crew member named Teri Kaskie was with Dr. Brian Pickles when she noticed part of a fossil skeleton protruding from a hillside. Based on what was exposed, the fossil appeared to be the skeleton of a hadrosaur (duck-billed dinosaur), a large-bodied, herbivorous dinosaur, with extensive skin preservation. A team from the University of Reading, University of New England in Australia, and the Royal Tyrrell Museum have started removing the overburden from above the fossil during the 2022 field season.
