Just a quick video showing how to replace the Key Fob Battery in a 2018 Toyota Highlander. I was getting a warning on the dash that said "Key Battery Low".
I also show how to start the car if the key battery is completely dead or missing.
Thanks for watching!

Whit no doubt this is the best video and complete explanations. It couldn't be better. Thanks a lot for your time and skills!
We totally didn't believe that the no battery thing would work! Amazingly, it DOES. Totally the best info we've seen.
Thanks! Just used your video to replace battery and I too was wondering if my battery totally died if I’d get stranded. Good to know the trick.
Thanks for making this video!!! You explained things easily and I was able to get my battery changed. And thanks for explaining how to start the car with a dead fob.. I had no idea.
Excellent Information.👍Thank you.
Easy peasy 😅thanks for the video!👍🏽🙌🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you SO much. This is exactly what I needed to know. 🙏
Thank you for your information, you make the best video.
Thanks a lot. Very helpful.
Thank you!!! I needed this today.
A small v-shaped spring thing fell out of my key fob while I was replacing the battery. Where does that go back in? I think it's for the button that expels the key...
My Dad thought you had to take the fob to the dealer to get the battery changed. I couldn't figure out how to open it, but your video solved the mystery! Thanks!
THANK YSO THANKSOU SO MUCH. I AM OUT OF MY STATE AND SAW THAT WARNING TODAY AND THOUGHT OH NO WHAT IF??? THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH NOW I WON'T STRESS BEING A WOMAN DRIVING ALONE.....
One of the best DYI videos I've ever seen! Quick and to the point! Thanks!!
Amazing info!
Cool learned something today! Thanks
So easy, thanks! And knowing that just the chip against the power button will start the car is very comforting. As long as you aren’t locked out of the car!? Or maybe that would work too if you put the chip right under the door handle?
The key that he pulls out at the start is what you use to open the locked car door.
I followed your video to the T, but now it says "Key not detected." Any advice?
Hi Heather,
Sorry you’re having trouble with that. The most common cause is a dead new battery, or the battery is in upside down. Maybe try flipping it over or try another new button battery.
Best of luck to you, I hope it’s as simple as that.
