Hey love the vid, just a quick suggestion to improve your soil, maybe plant a cover crop on all the empty spaces and till that in. It ads nitrogen it adds organic materials improving the soil structure and it's cheap and easy :p. Great work and love your videos 😁😁

So, mind set is key, Laura, when it comes to enjoying the lackluster infrastructure. The beauty lies in the ability to water and light everything, so that it will be green and growing. When the lines and cables are buried and all you have is little boxes to camouflage with gardens those little boxes should bring you joy, because they provide life to your property. Enjoy the process, even infrastructure.

May I suggest checking out a pulverizer for the tractor to help level out the land. Plus you can also use it on your driveway. We use ours a lot and it is quicker than a box blade. We have maintained a mile long gravel road for 9-10 years now and it is our go to implement for the tractor. Thrilled you got the tractor. Enjoy !

I loved this video.😍 I think the white fence was a great choice, it really does tie in with the look of the whole property and house. I'm super super excited about the cut flower garden the most. Aaron, thank you for sharing and going over everything as well, I am learning a lot about the infrastructure of a new property through you both. You guys, this is going to look so beautiful! 🙌💕

Laura, in the future, are you going to consider installing a very nice, stately gate at the entrance of the new property?

She can't. It's a city/town road. IMO, they should seek some type of variance. Couldn't hurt to try.

I can't wait to see how it all comes together! I'm planting my 1st real garden and starting with 1 cut flower bed and I think " what on earth am I going to do with a 3x8 bed of flowers?" Then I watch your videos and laugh...#garden goals. Also, I think that's the arbor I want for my garden... but I say that with everything I see you do! I love the inspiration!

Getting those power lines buried will make a huge difference. And that giant stretch of lawn will be so fabulous and regal. And I can’t wait to see that while fence covered in vines, it will be such a lovely green wall. Oh boy oh boy Laura. You and the team have really outdone yourselves. What you are creating will be a treasure. Thank you so much for sharing the journey with us. Also, is it just me or did we miss the Monday recap this week?

That fence covered up with sweet peas are going to look amazing in a matter of weeks! I like how you planned that temporarily area to enjoy it while big stuff and machinery happen around. Nice to see the progress, it looks things go slow but running all those servicies in a new property takes time. Have you thought about seed cover crops to improve soil quality?
    Greetings from Spain.

I think I’m as excited as you are and the sweet peas, oh my goodness, they are one my favorite. One of our homes had a huge garden and we planted sweet peas several years. Sweet memories of my grandmothers sweet peas that were planted every year along their driveway. I can’t wait to see your dahlias. We grew them the size of lunch plates. We had gone to New Zealand and almost all the gardens had amazing dahlias even the Wheat-a-bid factory had them. It began a love affair with dahlias and they come in so many different colors and petals. What a beautiful adventure for you & Aaron.

Oh Laura! I am so excited for your little family! Thank you for your videos I have just started my own garden for the first time this year. I’ve dug up the sod, put down soil conditioner, landscape fabric, installed drip irrigation, planted shrubs, perennials from tubers mostly and some annuals to fill in the holes. These videos have encouraged and taught me so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you! God Bless! 💗

Melody Daly I agree! I have 1/3 acre lot and find it big so I love how they really embrace these huge areas and are excited to work it, and make it beautiful as well as purposeful. My eyes grew wide when I saw they purchased this huge property. You have to REALLY love gardening to want to take a project like that on. It’s inspiring to watch their enthusiasm!

Wow! Overwhelms me to look at that but how fun to be able to create a new garden from scratch!
I was kinda saddened though when you said you were gonna remove the picket fence from in front of the house!😟 It just suites the style & era of when the house was built. Also, large more grandiose Victorians did have a smaller garden close to the house w/ a gate that opened into a much larger lawn or gardens. Especially the way you already have an arch there that just helps to lead you from one garden room to the next.
Can't wait to see all those Sweet Peas in bloom! Just love them! I never seem to have much luck w/ them over here in Eugene though as the spidermites just seems to always get them (no matter how much I treat them!😠😩😭). Just love their frilly ruffley little petals!💖💜💙

Wow, just Wow! The new property is like your new frontier and you are now responsible for making it special and getting the most out of it. Such an adventure that we are all going on from bare soil to a new national Park. Aaron really look like he was in his element tilling the soil in his new John Deere--really manly stuff! Enjoyed that episode immensely. Then watch the video questions after that. You asked if we liked this kind of show and of course we do we would love watching you do dishes! You and Aaron are totally charming couple and Benjamin and the cats are whipped cream on the top! Best show on UA-cam! 🇺🇸
