I haven't used my catfishing rig in a long time. I hope to get a chance to use it more often soon. Mine's about the same setup as yours Jeff, but I use a 10 ft rod instead. It's a Bass Pro Shops King Kat 10 ft casting rod. They were out of the 9 ft rods when I ordered mine earlier this year. Stay safe out there. Heard y'all are having some very unseasonably hot weather in the southwest.
On my Zebco Boss Hawg medium heavy power 808 I got a new Ozark trail baitcaster reel and works great for me with both reels for bass, catfish and northern pike fishing.
Love your videos, they have gotten me out fishing again. I was wondering if you had any preference in rod strength, heavy or medium heavy? I also use a ABU 6500C3 bait caster reel. I really like these reels. Learned to use them when I was just a young fisherman with my father. I havent had much luck at the ponds around Phx, still looking for a good one to hit. I have been doing the canals mostly. Keep on with these videos and "Keep your lines tight".
