    With this video you have solidified my decision to purchase the Fiebings dye kit, it is a good deal. Have you ever tried marbling with shaving cream? It produces great designs.

      Well i used 'g' for cmc powder and 'ml' for water. i ignore the measurement unit. But it does work^^.

    CMC = Carboxymethyl Cellulose, is a cheaper, synthetic substitute for gum tragacanth. It is obtained from chemical modification of natural cellulose. Tylose is a commercial name for the product

      Thank you for watching my video!!! Well, cmc powder is we use for baking also. It makes water thick so the colors wouldn't mix. And thanks for recognizing my cat! She's a lot bigger now.^^

      Hi!~ I use matte type acrylic finisher from Angelus brand. It's not 100% matte(I think). And i apply it with sponge. Thank you for watching my video!!!

      I think it is different with baking powder. It is usually called cmc powder.

      Well, in my experience, the pattern may not turn out vivid because waterbased liquid mix with water. Thank you for watching my video.

      Hi~ When i make for myself, i just rub the surface with soft clothes for natural glow. But When i sell, i put some finisher like acrylic finisher of Angelus.

      Yes, water based. If you use alcohol based product, you get lots's of little round shape because they don't mix together.

      Yes, I used some sort of plate. I can't find the words in english. I bought it from korean online market. Those letters are engraved in that plate. So I soak the leather with liquid and then place the plate on the leather and tap the plate using rubber hammer.

      It was ‘usme ekki’(I’m not sure if i can use those alphabet, it is Japanese.) of craft company. You don’t have to use this one. I sometimes use disinfectant(alcohol based). Try some liquid that is alcohol based one.. Thank you for watching my video. Happy new year in advance^^.

    Using alcohol based dye will make leather stiff. How you restore its softness. Thanks.

      Yes that's right. In my experience, water cased dye also make leather somewhat stiff. So i apply neatsfoot oil. That helps to restore softness. Thank you for watching my video!

    How you write on the leather

      I soak the surface with appropriate liquid. And then cover the surface with a plate which has an embossing letter. And tap with rubber hammer.
