With this video you have solidified my decision to purchase the Fiebings dye kit, it is a good deal. Have you ever tried marbling with shaving cream? It produces great designs.
Wow! Thank you for your great tip! I'll try next time! And also Fiebings dye is the best brand I've ever try. Very deep and thick.
Neko ga suki desuyo!! Nice video, all the information I needed. And, you don't prance around with a gun strapped to you, like your competition :)
Subscribed! Your videos are so helpful. Your English is very cute :) So many Koreans good at leathercrafting... 감사합니다!
Hi!~ Thank you for watching and enjoying my video!! I'm glad that you thought my english is cute(I was kind of worrying). Thank you.!!!
Haha. Thank you^^. And also nice to know that you’re Australian.
daebak as always! very usefull information :)
Hey~ You know that word 'daebak'. Very thank you always for watching my video!~^^
is cmc powder similar to baking powder?
Liked and subscribed, im looking forward to the other techniques you mentioned, hope you dont disappear!
Hey~ Thank you for watching my video!! And having interests on my channel. I'm still working on what contents i should make. Pls look forward to them!
What did you use to dilute the alcohol-based dye?
Thank for this. Very helpful and creative. For the cmc u used 20 for the ratio, but how much water did you use?
Well i used 'g' for cmc powder and 'ml' for water. i ignore the measurement unit. But it does work^^.
What dye did you use in the one with CMC powder
Did you dye the leather pieces before putting the purse together how did you make the purse
CMC = Carboxymethyl Cellulose, is a cheaper, synthetic substitute for gum tragacanth. It is obtained from chemical modification of natural cellulose. Tylose is a commercial name for the product
Again with the kitty...
hahaha,thanks again.
Haha... she loves needle and leather. Maybe i should make a little couch with leather for her. ^^ Thank you again!~
what's the mixing liquid brand in 1:54?
다음편은 어디있나요?
시청해주셔서 넘 감사드려요!! 가죽 염색에 관한 내용은 아직 제작되지 않았습니다.
What is the cmc power used. I love the way it came out and I loved your cat, thought he/she was going to make a mess
Thank you for watching my video!!! Well, cmc powder is we use for baking also. It makes water thick so the colors wouldn't mix. And thanks for recognizing my cat! She's a lot bigger now.^^
Hello, Can you please tell me how to finish this skin after drying? Do I need to clean off the remnants of caraginan? if so how?
Hi, really enjoying all your tutorial video. The bag showing on the video are gorgeous, may i know what final coat you use to get those kind of sheen? Did you air brush it? Thanks.
Hi!~ I use matte type acrylic finisher from Angelus brand. It's not 100% matte(I think). And i apply it with sponge. Thank you for watching my video!!!
@@kkomedacolour thank you, i’ll try that, i need something to prevent color rub off, but not too glossy 😁
Is it baking soda or baking powder ?
It's great video thanks for sharing
I think it is different with baking powder. It is usually called cmc powder.
Oh yes I knew it thanks a lot for your reply thanks thanks❤️❤️❤️
I want ask. If i use for waterbased for pattern. Is work too ?
Well, in my experience, the pattern may not turn out vivid because waterbased liquid mix with water. Thank you for watching my video.
Which dye are you using in your CMC powder? Is that the alcohol-based or the water-based die?
I used alcohol based one. If you use water based die, the they will be mixed up. Thank you for watching my video!!!^^
Hello! After you are finished with dying do you put anything to hold the dye like some kind of varnish?
Hi~ When i make for myself, i just rub the surface with soft clothes for natural glow. But When i sell, i put some finisher like acrylic finisher of Angelus.
@@kkomedacolour Thank you for the response!
Also, are those water based colors that you put on the top of the CNC? gel?
Yes, water based. If you use alcohol based product, you get lots's of little round shape because they don't mix together.
@@kkomedacolour Thank you!
Can I ask what method did you use to embossed the text?
Yes, I used some sort of plate. I can't find the words in english. I bought it from korean online market. Those letters are engraved in that plate. So I soak the leather with liquid and then place the plate on the leather and tap the plate using rubber hammer.
Awesome!!! Very informative video, also can you please let me know the name of the product which you have used to dilute the alcohol based dye @ 1:54. Thanks in Advance 😊
It was ‘usme ekki’(I’m not sure if i can use those alphabet, it is Japanese.) of craft company. You don’t have to use this one. I sometimes use disinfectant(alcohol based). Try some liquid that is alcohol based one.. Thank you for watching my video. Happy new year in advance^^.
What liquid did you mix the alcohol dye with? Water?
I use water for waterbased dye product. And for the alcohol based product, I use alcohol based liquid!
What product you are using for diluted alcohol dye?
I usually use pro dye. And sometimes angelus. They have great colors.
may i know what pen did you use? is it permanent pen?
Hi~ That was just a normal jel pen. I don’t think that is permanent. Thank you for watching my video!
What is cnc powder?
What i know about cmc powder is that it is used to make viscosity. It is used to make icecream or jam. Thank you for watching my video!!!^^
Using alcohol based dye will make leather stiff. How you restore its softness. Thanks.
Yes that's right. In my experience, water cased dye also make leather somewhat stiff. So i apply neatsfoot oil. That helps to restore softness. Thank you for watching my video!
@kkomeda do you apply the oil before or after applying a finisher over the dyed leather?
What the powder you used i can't understand the name
Can you write the name of the powder ?
That was cmc powder.^^
What name of the powder ?
That was cmc powder. ^^
Awesome! But do I need a cat to do this? XD
Haha! she is a little helper i guess!~^^ Your cat is so adorable. Can't enlarge that picture though. Thank you for watching!!!
How you write on the leather
I soak the surface with appropriate liquid. And then cover the surface with a plate which has an embossing letter. And tap with rubber hammer.
@@kkomedacolour tnx
What is the powder that you mixed with water? CNC powder? Is that what you said? I'm sorry. I couldn't quite understand...
Hi!~ Sorry if you didn't hear it! CMC powder. I added subtitle for that occasion. Anyway, thank you for watching.
@@kkomedacolour Thank you!
