Wow! I grew up in Lovington in the 1980s and 90s and this was a great trip back down memory lane! Of all the places you traveled, you passed by: My grandad's shop, My grandparents house, 2 of my childhood homes and several of my friends' houses! Thank you for taking the time to share this!
Thanks for positing this. I lived in Lovington in the late 70's, early 80's from the age of 11 to 19. You went right past my little brick duplex, which is across the street from the Football stadium parking lot. It's still there, and doesn't look like it's changed a bit in 48 years. You also went past the high school auditorium, where I spent most of my time in high school, painting scenery, and starting my lifelong career as a professional designer. It all started in there, with me working alone, late at night It's interesting that the town hasn't grown much since I lived there. The only new thing that really stood out was the McDonalds! The only burgers we had when i was a kid was Ole Jax. Anyway, thanks for the drive through!
22:16 Fun fact panda buffet was originally a burger king I think it opened somewhere between the late 70s or early 80s it closed somewhere around the early 2000s because there was roaches every where and had to close.

I lived in Lovington from 1955 to 1988. It was nice to see it. I wish you had shown Ave D to 9th and the neighborhoods north of Ave D.
