omg this deserves so much more love! very few animatics ever use the fact that Posiden is the god of horses so im really happy you included that and a whole herd of them? the fact they dragged the soldiers down into the depths was such a cool idea!
Water horses the size of a half ship would be creepy af real life, also loved the part when poseidon pointed at odysseus, it made me feel guilty and accused, overall invested in the story, and the end where we can see a reflection of the ship in poseidons eye is cinematic perfection, great work❤

Since the Laestrygonians (the chorus chanting Poseidon’s name in the background at the start) are - according to the text - cannibalistic giants descended from Poseidon, whom in the book eat the 500+ sailors who drown in this version (Ody is actually a dick here in the book - He sends 11 of this 12 ships into the harbour to scout and keeps his own ship outside, looking on and flees when the man-eating starts)… Does anyone else picture the bodies of the capsized men washing up on the shore and the Laestrygonians eating the drowned corpses…?
