The first beef soup has already conquered me, I didn't expect the next banana spring rolls to be more attractive, I really want to try it! That squid is so big, stuffed with vegetables is definitely a genius idea, and the beef bone soup is absolutely full of nutrition! The last dessert shop is very famous, I have seen many UA-camrs go there to eat Halo Halo! Thank you Luke for taking us to taste street food in Manila, super great job! 👍🥰👏
Great to see you back with some of your food explanations, I really enjoy seeing and almost tasting the food .I was stationed in the philipines for 3 years and the great restaurants in the Manila area. Makes my mouth water thinking about it 😁
I’m so jealous for both of you guys eating street food in Manila. I missed it so much, there’s no such thing here in Sydney and definitely all around Australia. The Australian government is very strict when it comes to food handling and they don’t like the food expose on the street to be contaminated. There’s not a lot of Filipino restaurants or Fast food, so far away of each other. Western Sydney has more Filipino food, my friends owned one called Fiesta in Blacktown but it’s over 1 hour drive from where I live in South Sydney. I will be in Manila with my mom in January 2024 and I’ve been talking to my sister, brother and friends where we’re gonna go and what food to eat, I’m sooo excited to be in Manila. I can’t wait. Thank you Luke and Paps Chui for sharing your wonderful experience, love it. 👍👏
Seriously I enjoy your videos so much!Every time after a hot shower, lying under the wind of air conditioners, cover with clean cold blanket and watching your videos is the best part of my days!
13:10 I mean this tradition has its reasons.. and its the same reason why filipino dishes often have so bold and strong flavours.. so you can mix it with a lot of rice.. because rice is also cheaper and makes you full.. so you can buy a small afforable portion of the dish you like enjoy the pieces and make yourself full with the rice :) saving tips filipino style

The leche flan on top really doesn't need to be mixed w the lot. Think of it like a side dish to halo halo. It's like the opera singer being drowned by the orchestra.
Hey good to see you both together again ❤where exactly is this 24 hour food eatery ? I’ve been to a few, but this one doesn’t look too familiar…where is this area in Manila tho ?thanks ❤😊
Was thoroughly enjoying this until you said what year you were born. Darn I feel old 😂 But you are living my dream of travel and food, and I get to live vicariously through your adventures. And lretty sure I've sent many down a road to experience other foods and cultures purely through watching channels such as yourself. So I consider that a win. Now I just need to find these cuisines here in Edinburgh, Scotland. Not an adventure on your acake, but an enjoyable one none the less!
I've been there (the lechon place). I was in the Philippines between 1993-1996. In 1996 I lived in Tondo for a little bit. I've also been to that halo-halo place as well.
I must have seen maybe 90% of your content. I would love it more if the sound clarity was better. The music level is a bit loud, when you speak also. But the biggest problem for me its the clarity of your voice. Maybe a mic that will block the surrounding noises will help a lot to isolate your voice and improve the clarity. I am not an expert in sound, but if you see you-tubers that do street interviews, they have a mic that has some fluffy isolation. For them their voice is perfectly isolated and clear. If i want to hear well you voice properly, i need to boost up the volume, but at the end i have a headache due to the loud volume, and the constant switch between loud music and you voice at a lower level. Keep up the good work.
We actually have many vegetarian dishes but we usually cook them at home and when we eat out that is when we most of the time order meat and we also eat meat when there is a celebration
@@eduardochavacano I'm a Filipino and how is it false advertisement if I am telling the truth? I tasted my grandma's cooking and not even Max's can surpass her. If you haven't tasted "Bulanglang", Ginisang gulay na may kagyos, ginisang tokwa sa kamatis, chopsuey, paksiw na puso ng saging, ginataang gulay etc. then I pity you. And no, I am not trying to impress foreigners - I am just telling the truth. you are the one who doesn't know your own culture and heritage baka nga hindi ka pa nakatikim ng authentic na sinigang baka ang alam mo lang na sinigang ay yung may sinigang mix (na never kong nagustuhan since ang lola ko ang nilalahok lahat ay fresh, kaya ganun din akong magluto) and that is not even real Filipino food that is a modernized version because some Filipinos became lazy. And I live in the province. My late grandmother used to just pick mushrooms near the house and make a wonderful vegetarian dish. We rarely eat pork or beef before. Usually just vegetables and/or fish. Since you can buy fish at the province for 20 - 100 (per kilo) pesos. Just because you are not used to eating veggies doesn't mean everyone is like you. I also have studied in Seventh Day Adventist University and Meat are not allowed in there. They only have vegan dishes at the cafeteria, not even fish are allowed inside - I have tasted some of the best vegetarian dishes there. And I have been to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.
@@eduardochavacano Like dude? Why would you say "stop" trying to impress foreigners? when did I do that? Is telling the truth about how we live in Batangas - wrong? Some of my classmates in High school rarely eat meat and just eat vegetables, they only eat galunggong at kaht na anong tanim nila. It is our culture here. When I said - "we" I am speaking mostly about the people around me and how I grew up so how dare you insinuate that my childhood is a lie and my whole area is a lie? You are the one who is lying if you are going to speak for people you do not even know.
@@eduardochavacano and It is so funny how you are judging me based on who you are - seeing your cover photo? Your channel banner that shows foreign food? Judging someone without knowing them shows ignorance. Don't worry I would be posting recipes on my channel soon, feel free to watch maybe you'll learn a thing or two about how Batangenyos cook their food.

Man you’re pogi and very adventurous for trying Filipino food! It’s definitely good but some dishes to me are very intimidating!
You should go to Mindanao, lots of food diversity there, some you can't find in the manila area
Can you put the addresses of the places you visited in the video descriptions?

You right not as much veggies and also a lot of fried foods but I still love filipino foods
Try also Chicken Pinikpikan soup here in Baguio City

How is the breadstick this used to be Fazoli's, I love their breadstick which has a gummy texture, is it still the same?
How about karekare or sisig or dinuguan or afritada or desserts or Bicol express or tortang talong or lechon o Crispy pata o adobo marami pa
lumpiang sariwa is so underrated
Luke Martine come in Bangladesh🇧🇩 and try my delicious cuisine
