As an RN who has spent 37 years working in the mainstream sick care system, I absolutely loved this interview! When my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I began researching the effects of diet on our brains and it changed everything that I ever believed to be true about our standard American diet. Since then, while I still have to work in that realm to pay my bills, I have studied to become a health coach and am soooo looking forward to switching gears to working in REAL healthcare!

My sister and I went through menopause in our 30s. When I would go to the doctor and tell him I’m having hot flashes, he replied I was too young for that. Same for my sister she says her doctor told her that as well. I hope God isn’t going to take me out sooner. It actually did upset me because I felt like I was aging early,

I can’t wait to read this new book from this great man ❤️ I LOST COUNT how many times I’ve visited the ER/Urgent care last year because of HBP and realized my stress level was super high and it cost my health to be at its lowest point.. I was not happy but also determined to do something about it.. Breathing exercises… focusing on what I can give instead of what I can get like they talked about on this video, meditation and learning to self love is such a powerful tool. I just ordered the book while watching this interview.
To Dr. Mindy, I started following you almost two months ago and have learned so much about “fasting.” I was given 3 months by my PCM to re-do all my bloodwork last January because the results weren’t good. I started learning to fast thru your videos and have lost weight and getting compliments from friends and families ❤️ I am going to see my PCM by the end of April to do my bloodwork and hopefully the results will be much better 🙏 Thank you Dr. Mindy! You are definitely on a mission ❤

When I am I want to lash out, the breathing helps a lot! Also to acknowledge yourself how you are reacting and go for a walk outside helps too.

I don't think his intention was to be offend anyone. Intention is important with words. We've become hypersensitive to words, myself included and now I'm beginning to understand why people are afraid to speak because everyone is sensitive about something. I'm going to start checking myself more on is what I'm hearing worthy of being so upset. Yes, we need to mind our words, but we all slip. We're human. I don't want to lose that.

LOVE Dr Amen! Question thou... I'm 43 yrs old, have C-ptsd and a laundry list of chronic health conditions. I also have an extensive amount of both emotional trauma AND physical brain trauma... what happens then? Speed up or slow down the brain..? I've been struggling with a "broken brain" for almost 3 yrs after another emotional trauma blindsided me. It was the straw that broke this gal's brain. It seriously affects my cognitive ability and functions. I'm unable to work, drive, or live a normal life. Currently seeing a trauma specialist and doing emdr since Oct with regular bi-weekly appts but still no improvement on my brain or nervous system. I'm waiting to see a Functional Neurologist at the Canadian Brain clinic Dr Ash. Hoping and praying he'll be able to restore my brain health so I can get my life back 🙏 I also started Keto in Jan 2023 and IF shortly after. Those have definitely helped my chronic pain and autoimmune symptoms greatly! Although I've been stalled out for 2 months. That's how I found this Dr Mindy ❤️

KHH and JE: Sense of humor? Hypersensitivity to everything, feeling offended by everything, picking one one "bad" moment, while dismissing everything else. ... the mark of our time. The man has a sense of humor, talks also about nature "getting rid of you" . Should we get upset about thar too?

Well, women need a lot of care on peri menopaus, menompose and post menopause. If women don't take care of them self they could die, I think it is a survival mecanism

I'm far away from menopause but I know women remember during this time lots of hate against them, assaults etc and the start of this podcast was hurtful. Why do you not adress this? Women's divorce reasons are clearly due to women having to tolerate evil behaviour and being overworked, this dude is blaming all on women's hormones. The divocr statistics that women initate divorce is also women who are far away from menopause. Not gonna listen or subscribe to anyone who smiles at hate for women.

I agree. Women initiate divorce after years of being devalued & ignored. A woman's heart is when her home, she lovingly set the atmosphere for her family, is threatened. Men in their midlife crisis know she is threatened by his abuse & neglect. Just like a high school bf. They want all to blame the wife for breaking up the home saying she filed. She almost never would do that unless her partner started a campaign against her, covertly. So tired of blaming women when men are invested out of the home.

Ok, not true Living Longest are consciously eating & doing well! My 101 yr old Extreme Narcissistic mother is still as selfish focused, no heart for others as she’s so special don’t yah know! Stuffs mashed potatoes, gravy with flour, hugely stuffs her face so she’s grown fatter and fatter.
