I agree Leave it 6 volts. Properly tuned they operate fine.
I coulndt agree more. Man, you sound very proud. beautiful car..
Why title it how much I pay for the car😡
Clickbait basically.
@michael931 yup. I see these cars in poorer condition go for 10k+. If I had to guess he paid probably $25k+ for this. Any less the previous owner didn't know what he had
Chevy went to 12 volts in 1953. Also a hollow crank and hydraulic valve lifters.
Nope. 1955 was the first year for Chevrolet went to12 volt
I stand corrected. Thanks for the reply. I think I was correct about the hollow crank and hydraulic lifters tho. I owned a lot of early 50's chevys. Wish I had one now.
.......so HE DOES NOT REVEAL THE PRICE!!
Great car!! My Dad had 2 1950 Chevys. One was a Coupe and the other was a Fastback when I was a kid in the '50's. I currently have a '54 Chevy Bel-Air 4-Door Sedan. I kept the 6-volt system and installed a 6-volt alternator. It works great and starts up well. I have a modern am/fm/cd player with a voltage booster that I installed and it works fine. Good luck with your beautiful '50 Chevy!!! Vinny C.
Badass, I just bought a 1952 style line deluxe sedan with a 235 and original power glide transmission, I’m look for a lot of thing but it’s runs and drives, I’m down in central Texas. Enjoyed the video man.
Very good job on the review of your car ! my father has the exact same car, he picked it up a few years back, and is in factory stock condition, much like yours is !!
That's the nicest car I've seen on your show. So smooth looking. I would never sell it if I were you. And nobodys business what you paid bro. Keep up the great video's, I really enjoy watching them 🇺🇲👍🏻🇺🇲👍🏻🇺🇲👍🏻🇺🇲👍🏻
Thank you
Just a beautiful Chevy coupe.....I say that to every one of your videos! Best to you man!
under the hood looks really familiar, my first car was a 1954 chevy club coupe that cost $50 in 1967. everything looks the same as i remember it cause i did all my own work on it. yours is a nice looking ride.
I'm totally with you brother. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! You have a COOL piece of history that will always be appreciated. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CAR!!!👍👍😃👌✌🇨🇦
I’m going 12volts on my 49 I like loud music and brighter lights
Congrats I missed this video and didn't know you had bought yourself a beautiful car.
Mine pictured is a 52 business coupe with a 59 235 truck motor in it, I'm looking for a visor like your. They are hard to find. Stay Safe. Just noticed you are in Miami, I live in St. Pete, Florida.
Awesome man! I’ll be in Daytona this weekend
15k i guess u pay
You see the bolt holes on that intake manifold is for your oil filter
I don’t understand...
Shes a sweet old girl.
Don't Lower it that ruins it and leave it 6 volt or you will destroy a rare Car. It will be Ruined if you do those things you have no Idea how hard it is to get something Original. I had one that is bullshit they do not explode You should have NEVER BOUGHT IT you will destroy It. Go Boy a newer car. Good you are now talking smart Leave it original.
Well I won’t be watching anymore of your videos to find out. Time wasted. Hate clickbait
Click bait he beats around the bush because he is ashamed he got ripped off and dont tell you the price !
Just click dislike!
William , I had a gray 1950
Chevrolet club coupe three speed standard.
Like the videos 📹 👌 Amigo !!! 😊
Kevin Phoenix ✝️
Great presentation
A lot of talking about price without a price
Its a beautiful car!
Good story
U talk to much 😡
Why did you start the video telling us you would disclose what you paid ????? Very misleading …..not honest
I wouldn’t change it to 12 Volt totally unnecessary! I also, wouldn’t lower this totally original car! I would put on a split manifold with an 18 inch glass pack and a straight pipe! DO NOT Mickey Mouse with 12 Volt conversion! You would be sorry!
That is a deluxe coupe. The business coupe had no sliding rear quarter windows or stainless window trim.
Watching this after seeing footage of all the 1950s cars still roaming the streets of Cuba, including a white/blue Chevy of the same year as yours!
I enjoy all your videos. I too, love stovebolt Chevys.I have been to the Keys a few times.
I’m looking for doors for my 49 fleetline
2 door fastback anyone out there selling some for a fair price hit me up.
Don’t molest the original car, you can never get it back!
My folks had a 1950 styleline convertible when I was young (born 1954). Light blue with a black top.
I remember my sister and I riding in the too well and playing with the zipper for the window. My mom had a full length fur coat which was always in the well. No car seats in those days. LOL.
My dad lived that car, but it ended up needing; a paint job, new top, seat covers, a ring job and tires. I remember my mom saying, years later, if it had only needed a couple of those they would have kept it. Instead they traded for a used 56 Mercury.
Thanks for sharing, brings back so many great memories. God bless…
What a pinche waste of my 13:52 minutes of my time
Thanks for the video - great car. It’d be great to see a video explaining more of the differences between the models in ‘49-‘50 (fleetline, styleline, standard, deluxe etc), and how things changed for the ‘51-‘52 models. Just a selfish suggestion for some content! Keep up the great car content - Subscribed!
Great looking car. What a find and to be the 3rd owner. How often does that happen?
Check out Chevy truck and car shop here in California... they have all the car parts you will need. Trust me it’s car heaven there!!! You’ll thank me later . Make sure to get a free catalog too from them
WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE KOMPANY MY FRIEND
That’s where I get my parts….. it’s dangerous to go … I go for one part and leave a lot more
you're wrong that those cars are stronger than a modern car. they have test crash test videos showing a 1950 bel air against a modern vehicle and the bel air completly is crushed and destroyed also killing the test dummy in the process. at first glance they seem stronger but they have no way to absorb impacts. no plastic or foam parts that can absorb a lot of the impact.
Nice Car homie, but Try to get accessories for a car like main a 1942 Chevrolet Fleetline Super Deluxe...just my stearing wheel I paid $2,400, hood Ornament $1,200, fog lights $1,600, fog light switch $125, GM Spotlight $600.... and the list goes on homie, is just some of the extras that I have. Welcome to the expensive hobie of car restoration.! 👍🏽👊🏽
Yup...welcome to the expensive hobby...have a 41 special deluxe and paid an arm and a leg for original spotlights, fog lights , gravel guards, visor, side skirts, red head flashlight, fender guides...but it’s all worth it...
lowering will ruin it
Not at all …
Beautiful car. You nailed it about how these cars are more than just cars, they're a peace of history
DON'T TELL PRICE!! YOUR BUSINESS....
Great looking car! Congrats and enjoy the cruise!
Very nice find, beautiful car! If your gonna do a lot of night driving, sure upgrade to 12volts if not leave it alone. Power your devices with power banks or something. Definitely gonna look nice lowered and with new drums and brakes!
TOP 👏👏🇧🇷🎱
Good job William. I have an observation, you mentioned that your car is a business coupe ! Maybe what i'm about to say, only applies to Fords, but in the Ford lineup , a business coupe has no back seat, the club coupe has a back seat ! Keep up the good work....Tom
Needed a place for their sample cases. I’ve even heard that some sales people slept in the back on sales trips. Cheers
LOVE those long-deck coupes!
Have you ever seen the Father Larry Ernst kustom that was built in the Fifties?
Larry was a Catholic priest that happened to be a big George Barris fan... And designed a really killer coupe that he had the Barris shop build.
Nice ride you have there!
Cheers!
Beautiful car Will!! Enjoy it!!
Love your car.. it’s freaking beautiful..
Someday i will own one I got hooked on a 52 that we rode in and I got to drive in Cuba about 3 years ago, Victor's 52 was mint
That car has a soul baby.Un molested so fine.

My first car was a 49 chevy business coupe Put a inline six blue flame engine it with a manifold set up from a 54 vette Never lost a race (drag) except one and that was to a guy named JC Sizemore with a car he called the Golden Rod
sizemore
complete opposite of my 50 but its beautiful!
How’s yours?
@@GenerationOldschool all chrome and door handles removed. Basically hotrod/rat rod.
@@paxtonkanorr5123 do you have instagtam so I can see it? Mine is @generation.oldschool
@@GenerationOldschoolno it's still in the build phase. it drives but it's no where near done.
I got it from my grandpa as one of his many unfinished projects cars
You have very good taste. I always loved the '50 Chevy deluxe coupe and the '50 Olds 88 coupe in black or deep maroon. Very pretty cars with a solid look and feel. I too would leave it original as possible. A tasteful lowering can be forgiven. They do sit a little high in stock form, although I'm fine with that too. I believe the seat material has been redone. The original was a fine pinstripe. It looks good though as-is. I so agree the skirts are a must on these cars. It's like a '55-'57 Thunderbird with the skirts off - it looks like a missing tooth! LOL
Great stuff! Love the car! My grandfather had a '49 and I had a '50. Especially love the original steering wheel, horn ring, and gorgeous radio. Mine didn't have those but I found them in a junkyard. Yours even has the original ground strap. Enjoy!
A American treasure man.
My first car, when I was 14 years old, was a '50 Chevy 2-door sedan. Dark green over mint. Had a 216 in it but also a 235 on a stand with a cam, header and Offenhauser dual 1bbl intake manifold. I never got it finished. Enjoy!
That car is so sharp!
Great looking Chevy! Congrats, enjoy!
Don’t lower it. Leave it alone.
