Elecraft AX1 Antenna In Use

Peter Waters, G3OJV, Director of Waters & Stanton, takes a trip to the Highlands of Scotland with the Elecraft KX1 antenna and the KX2 transceiver.

I purchased one from Walters & Stanton, unfortunately the first one received was faulty which they immediately swapped out. great service as I was about to go away on holiday, the second worked perfectly, used it on Snowdon for a Sota activation and had a 59 contact on 20m into Sweden. it is always now in my bag with the KX3,

Peter, it might be good to update the info since the Hi-Match unit is apparently not available. Or maybe post a schematic for those wanting to build one. It’s just a choke balun in a box?

Bought one from your shops few weeks ago and have used on my Ft 897d.....thoughts so far? ....total rubbish.....perhaps it’s faulty?
