Fyleaf: Overcoming deep depression, and realizing just how beautiful the world is. Fall-Out Boy: Coming across a new spark of excitement in life, and facing it head on with eager and glee
I really like this version. It's true, it's a less ecstatic excitement like the original was but it's a different kind of mystical awe. I think they did a good job. :]
wow, definatly not what i was expection. i'll admit at first when it was slow i was like 'speed up damn it!' but then i realised how the slow song is so haunting and i've fallen in love with this version too! i'm totally buying this cd!
You still got the CD? Anyone even got CDs anymore?? It’s weird to think that you wrote this comment when I was 3 and now I’m driving. Time is crazy bro.
Fedora The Explorer. Yeah they did its actually really good you should check it out plus i listen to that cover a long time along with panic at the disco to:).
i think it's cool how fall out boys is super energised and then flyleaf is like darker/emotional and has like a powerful pulse to it. but they both have that wonder factor and that is something to compare it too.
What's this? What's this? There's comments everywhere. What's this? I smell trolling in the air. What's this? Flash files being ripped and these commercials you can't skip. Ooh what the fuck is all this shit? WHAT IS THIS??????
Her voice is so daunting. I LOVE IT! Fall Out Boy is my favorite band of all time and their cover was brilliant. I can picture it being in the movie. But I think if Tim Burton had remade this movie this version of the song would be the best choice. Its different style but they both sound amazing as usual.
Oh, definitely. In Jack's Obsession, he gets so frustrated that he can't figure it all out. It's kind of sad that he can't understand what Christmas is TRULY about, which seems to be a message that's been lost by many people when it comes to Christmas (even though it's very toy-based and stuff in the movie, with Santa's workshop).
Flyleaf are my very favourite band in existance right now, i mean that i love all of their work, but this song right here is the PEEk of pure awesome, i LOVE this song and i've been listening NON stop for at least two hours.
I think she sounds very dazed, very entranced by what she's seeing, and so she sounds a little detached. I find it rather appropriate. When it builds to crescendo, she does sound passionate, just disbelieving.
I think this is good, as well as the original. She put her own little twist on it, and that always makes covers so much better, as you can tell the artist put feeling into it.
people need to STOP saying "i feel depressed now" or "this song sounds to sad" this is a Great song i love it and if you don't then STFU and change the song to something that you like and stop Crying about this song. i personally think she did a amazing job on this song
I understand, my point is that there is no tragic side to the original song. At all. It's a child waking up in a candy factory. They're excited as heck. Sure, they'll be sad when the parent keeps them from eating the candy, but at the moment they wake up, they're excited. That is what the song is meant to portray. Living in the moment in a sense. The exciting feeling of being introduced to a new world different from our own.

Fall-Out Boy: Coming across a new spark of excitement in life, and facing it head on with eager and glee
flyleaf pulls you out of the depression and fall-out boy keeps you going afterwards
@@andobtw8046 Yeah :)
When you go outside for the first time in 10 years
Put the speed on 1.25
Tasia Munster That actually makes the song fit the mood of the scene better.
Much better. Thanks for the advice
Tasia Munster thank you it was so slow before
Oh damn
Great suggestion! But I gotta admit it’s closer to 1.35 or 1.40 for the 2nd half.
In this version, I can picture someone overcoming their depression and seeing the real world isn't as bad as they think
Arvie dude this description is fucking amazing🖤
What the fuck is with these mother fucking typos?
@@MissingSKA it's called the internet
This is what I feel when I hear this version too, because that's what it's like coming out of a depressive episode🖤
That's such a cool idea!! :O
listening to it on 1.25 speed, kinda better but i still appreciate it on normal :)
I really like this version. It's true, it's a less ecstatic excitement like the original was but it's a different kind of mystical awe. I think they did a good job. :]

I absolutely love the ending of this song! Flyleaf rocks, they did an awesome cover for this cool song.
I think I enjoy FOB's version a bit more. I still love this though :)

Fedora The Explorer. Yeah they did its actually really good you should check it out plus i listen to that cover a long time along with panic at the disco to:).
Fiy panic at the discos is this is halloween.
The way she sings this is so amazing.
I also love the Fall Out Boy version.
More upbeat.
But the way she sings this is just... WOW.
I love it.
i think it's cool how fall out boys is super energised and then flyleaf is like darker/emotional and has like a powerful pulse to it. but they both have that wonder factor and that is something to compare it too.
I've been working in a bad place for eleven years I finally quit I know the feeling
When THEY sing it i completly forget it's actually Jack's line in the Movie, it kind of reminds me of Sally
Why did you put so much emphasis on they?
love flyleaf she shows that christians can be wicked awesome
Meh "can" it sure must be rare ;p
ye

they can't. religion is a cancer
What's this? What's this?

it just sounds so dreamy
i like it!
its dark and unsure yet curious at the same time
so i think flyleaf did a good job and kept the feel of that scene
This is so cool i am all of a sudden discovering these remade Nightmare Before Christmas songs. i love the shiny toy guns one too

This is good ^.^
this song is so awsome
I have this set as my alarm for the morning
This is a good cover. Dark and creepy and completely sick.
well put
I think she sounds very dazed, very entranced by what she's seeing, and so she sounds a little detached. I find it rather appropriate. When it builds to crescendo, she does sound passionate, just disbelieving.
pretty cool!
I Love this song sooooo much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the part at 2:22. Just when you think it's over, BAM! Cool lil noise throughout the whole song.
:O
I love this
Thank you! At least someone else thinks this song is good. >.> This song makes me want to by the CD.
awesome
Her voice is absolutely beautiful, but it's too sad. I felt depressed after I heard this. Flyleaf should have covered Sally's Song.
:D this is a good cover
this is just making me sleepy, the song is meant to be exciting and energetic, because it's the first time that Jack see's Christmas town.
I personally love this.
I think this is good, as well as the original. She put her own little twist on it, and that always makes covers so much better, as you can tell the artist put feeling into it.
ooooh the what if possibilities are soo awesome.........makes you put a new spin on the movie
I like both this and the FOB version, both for different reasons, but the orginal I LOVE!
it makes jack's discovery more mysterious!

honestly i like it
Yeah, I was thinking the same, I mean, I stick by bands when band members quit, but when the lead singer leaves..... It's not the same...
For some reason, it made me laugh.
This sounds sooo creepy. I like it.
