- I went around the Intramuros fortress with my family.
The Philippines is a country with a painful history of being colonized by many countries.
Due to the geographical characteristics of the Korean Peninsula, there was no end to the war due to foreign aggression
In modern and contemporary history, it is a country that suffers from colony of Japanese Imperialism.
I thought this part looked like each other...
It was a useful time to understand the Philippines a little more.

I have just finished watching all of your videos and I would like to commend you for your courage in taking a step to get to know the other part of you (being half Filipino). As you said in a previous video, you did not have the best relationship with your mother, and at one point you had resentment when you were younger. But then you were able to reconnect and talk a bit more over time. It might have been a bit scary taking that step for you, but I am glad that you ultimately enjoyed coming to the Philippines and was able to spend time and make good memories with your mother. Hopefully, this also brought peace and healing to the younger you. I have read/heard a lot of stories of people being born "half" from other countries, and having a hard time "fitting in" because if they are for example half korean half filipino, they are "not korean enough" in korea, or "not filipino enough" in the Philippines. If there will be another time when you are made to feel bad by other people about being mixed, just remember that you get to have the best of both worlds, being Korean and Filipino 😊 At the end of the day, we are of the same race, the human race. We should never be made to feel bad just because we were born mixed 😊 May this just be the start of a beautiful journey of self-discovery, making beautiful memories, and healing for you. I wish you all the best 😊
I hope you find your peace here in PH. All the pain you went through and all the bad experiences you had in the past-- i hope they all disappear. Here in PH, Mix race is normal and I believe we are more hospitable than our neighboring countries. I won't ask you to forget your korean roots-- but i hope you discover your strength to go on in life with your Filipino heritage. :)
The Philippines really went through a lot. Having been occupied thrice by 3 different countries, many of its traditional and cultural identity have been forcefully erased and forgotten.
Despite that, the Filipino people appreciates and embraces everything it went through. Even though we went through a lot of dark times, we bare no great animosity against the 3 colonizers.
What happened from the past should be a lesson and guidance for the Filipinos to continue to love and protect the country. And to not put those sacrifices in vain.
After all, the freedom that we have now is from the sacrifices of the Filipinos and allies that fought and protected the country during those times.
그래도 외가집이 필리핀에서 풍요롭게 사시는게 다행이네요.

Is your mom from Pangasinan, because I heard her speak some Pangasinan words? If she is, try to visit her home province next time, that is about 200km north of Manila and we have beautiful beaches there.

외국인 관광객들에게는 악명 높은 바가지로 유명한 마차인데, 내상 없이 잘 타셨나 보네요
(전 2016년에 500페소로 작은 사이즈 마차 타 보았거든요)

New subbie here.. I have to be honest because the elderly tour guide is giving you so many wrong info.. from the supposed to be the prison of Rizal to the moat as she mistaken it into something else. Manila doesn't surround the Pasig river also and the University belt wasn't located within Intramuros but outside of it near the presidential palace

Correction Intramuros was severely devastated during ww2, only the san agustin church was spared from the bombing.
You need to go to BGC Manila ( High Street, Uptown parade, Forbes Town) I suggest you go there during the weekends especially during the afternoon to nighttime!
Walang kakaiba sa bgc sa mga dayuhan.. sa pilipino lang maganda ang bgc.
mas gusto ng mga tourista pumunta sa mga ganyan kaysa sa mga puro building. tignan mo ang daming turista sa maynila kaysa bgc.
@@hotice4417 ulol, di ka pa nakakapunta sa downtown ng ibang bansa. Kakaiba ang bgc dahil sa sobrang organized and planned layout niyan.
뭐랴고 해야하지.. 필리핀 특유의 브라운 스킨이랑 한국인 특징이랑 혼합이 잘 되서 이목구비도 이쁘시고 굉장히 아름다우시네요 ㅋㅋ

Manila was a beautiful old city, but at the end of World War II the Japanese did not want to give it up and the Americans decided to force them out. Both sides basically blew up everything and many historical places and buildings were ruined. Manila is one of the most destroyed city in that war. Many Filipino civilians died, too.
In my opinion, the Americans caused the most destruction to Manila. Japan was already losing the war at that time. They could have just surrounded Manila, defeated the Japanese army in the rest of the Philippines, and just waited for the soldiers in the city to surrender. But they didn't.

필리핀사람 싫어요 계속 끈질기게 달려붙어요 저 싫다고 표현해도 울면서 달라붙어요ㅜㅜ
필리핀 사람도 너 싫어해요 그러니까 해외에 나가지마
근데 솔직히 하나도 혼혈같지 않은데요. 우리누나보다 피부가 하얗거 깉아요. 한국에도 님같은 피부 많아요. 그냥 평범한 이쁘장한 한국인같아요.
역사는 돌고 도는 것이죠ㅋ
전후 1960년대 박정희 대통령이 필리핀에 국빈방문을 요청했는데 그당시 필리핀 대통령이 가난한 나라의 대통령을 만날이유가 없다고 거절했었죠ㅎ 필리핀은 미국으로부터 한국보다 2~3배 더 많은 지원을 받았지만 오히려 퇴보했죠. 본인 어머님이 왜 한국에 왔을까요? 코피노같은 추상적 망상으로 쓸데없이 자기동정하지마시고 정신부터 육체까지 철저한 한국인이 되시는게 모든걸 해결할겁니다. 사람들이 다문화와 다인종을 혼동하는데 한국은 다문화 국가가 아닙니다. 한국은 필리핀보다 아주 오래되고 역사가 깊은 나라인거 본인도 아시죠? 다인종은 문제가 되지않습니다. 수천간년의 혼혈로 이루어준게 오늘날의 한국인이기에...필리핀 갈시간에 더 한국을 공부하시고 철저하게 한국인의 일원이 되세요? 핏줄 운운하는건 본인이 인생의 낙오자로 보여질때 사람들이 하는 비난일뿐인거 잊지마시고
한국의 외래종 경계심은 전혀 바뀔 생각이 없는 순혈주의 정서 니깐 걍 본인이 감수하면서 살아야지~
코필가족의 가장입니다..요즘 아이들 얼굴을 보면 복잡한 심정이에요..아직 초등학생이라 잘 지내는것 같지만 항상 마음은 살얼음판 위에 있는 기분입니다..그 힘든 시기 잘 버텨내신것 같아 다행입니다..필리핀 가족을 찾으시고 정체성을 찾는과정도 즐거워 보입니다..다만 걱정되는건 내가 물질적이나 심적으로 한만큼 보상이나 내마음만큼 상대도 생각할꺼라는 기대는 내려놓고 하시길 조심스럽게 말해드립니다. 항상 기분 좋은일만 가득하시길....
