- This is how most of my drives in this car go, just start off steady, then the Subaru-ness of it all gets away from me, take a big detour and off to the pub!
A great way to spend an afternoon. Driving through the countryside in my Subaru Legacy GTB, getting abit of a drift going . Driving through a tunnel. Ending up at the pub. The slide was done on a private driveway just to add.
The car is a 2001 Subaru legacy Gtb, with a stroked 2.1 litre ej20 engine, running a hybrid turbo with 400bhp @22psi
The Subaru hasn’t been kind to me but now it’s running and sounding really well.
We tried to capture abit of a pure drive through the countryside and get the raw noise and sounds of the Subaru engine

@@Schraster no not at all. Just makes for a different sort of car
I hope if that's pushing 400BHP that you got forced internals. Otherwise you're going to be looking at an entire rebuild very soon! Ask me how I know.
Yeah, it’s 408bhp. When I ran 360 it blew up. Now it’s a 2.1 stroker.
@@InitialB Not surprised. Non-forged parts don't like tons of power. ~325BHP is about your limit for EJ208's (stock).
5 speed gearbox?
Yeah that’s right, but it’s the ‘754’ version
@@InitialB Could you tell me what the box reference is? Does it handle 400 horses well without any problems? and that I'm considering changing the gearbox and engine of an ej208 and that's how it all came together, because they say that the gearbox of 5 imprezas starts with more than 300 horses
@@dmwelds8960 the p1 and last versions of the 5 speed have a code starting with 754 rather than 752. For me it was absolutely fine for a long time. If you smash the gears it won’t last though.

An EJ20 with the 2.5 litre crank fitted. Strokes it up to a 2.1 litre

It’s far too complex for one photo but depending on your Rev you can find them online.
@@InitialBI have a bh5 e-tune stock no upgrades but the vacuum lines are mixed up,
