Insane Woman Tries Ram Cop, Speeds Away, and Resists Arrest in Epic Chase!

- On January 22nd, 2024, officers in Oklahoma were dispatched to a Love’s truck stop for an unwanted woman staying on the property. The woman was reportedly in a rainbow coat, asking customers outside the store for money and refusing to leave the property. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who pointed them to a grey Dodge Ram parked by the dumpsters where the woman had been staying. The woman inside the vehicle, later identified as the suspect, ignored repeated requests to open her door. Despite warnings, she started the vehicle and accelerated towards one of the officers, who had to break the window to avoid being struck.
The suspect fled the scene, leading officers on a high-speed pursuit on westbound U.S. Highway 70. During the chase, the suspect ran a red light and drove in the turn lane and oncoming traffic. An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper joined the pursuit and executed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention, causing the suspect’s vehicle to spin and stop. The suspect refused to exit the vehicle, obscured officers' view with items, and honked the horn repeatedly. Eventually, the suspect exited the vehicle and was detained after resisting arrest.
After being medically cleared at a local hospital, the suspect continued to be irate and uncooperative while transported to the County Jail. The suspect was charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, Eluding, and Misuse of 911.

I actually feel so much empathy for this woman. She's homeless and desperate. Could she have made better choices? Maybe. Can they get her help beyond losing whatever she has left? Unfortunately probably not. Treatment for mental health in this country is almost nonexistent and is a shame.
Decades ago, they could be temporarily confined but the ACLU went to court to prevent that. Now, no matter how desperate they are, help really isn’t available.
