  • 👉🏾 We react to The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS
👉🏾 Trale loves “feel good stories”, especially about BTS and we ended up discussing what life was like when we were younger and in poverty. When the power or heat got cut off due to non-payment when we were younger, our families would sleep in front of the oven with the door open to stay warm. Memories!
👉🏾 We think this video was better than both This is BTS and Who is BTS, but we also wonder if it’s because we now both know more about BTS when watching.
👉🏾 Should we rewatch and react to Who is BTS and react to This is BTS sometime soon?

I don't think there's a need to rewatch the Who is BTS one again coz that's definitely outdated (even though I begrudgingly admit, it is still one of the most satisfying intro videos because it feels like you really get to know the guys) . If you want to watch videos highlighting each member, I recommend the Introduction to BTS - Beyond the Scene Series by bts_gadaursan (it's an 8 part series).

Nah, just delve into their music for a bit. You have so much to catch up on.
Perhaps start with Map of the Soul albums, and work your way back to the older ones.
Or check out their most iconic MVs, which can serve as landmarks in their career.
When you listen to a song, search for a lyric video (Zaty Farhani is most reliable), or look up doolset’s annotated translation. She is excellent.
Then view a LIVE performance of the song, to get a feel for their stages.
It’s like a long road trip of discoveries. ENJOY!

One more note regarding their military service: I have observed that this is a very sensitive issue among Koreans and that the most respectful thing to do is to leave it to Koreans to address this, versus giving our own conjectures. Although it is undeniable that BTS are invaluable to their country doing what they are right now, Jin has frequently said that it will be his honor to serve his country once he is called to duty.

    • @mymots9840
      @mymots9840 3 роки тому +24

Agreed. The military service is something that we Westerners do not get an opinion on - at least not in public.
To save yourselves a lot of potential grief/ill-will from comments, I'd highly recommend you not vlog your opinions on it.
BTS has NEVER said anything other than it will be an honor to serve when called to duty.
The articles stating that ARMYs are petitioning to get BTS an exemption were clickbait lies - with very few signatures on some petition that someone made. It was just sensationalist journalism as its worst.
Why? Because any Korean male who seeks to avoid their military service is viewed very poorly. Their reputation ruined. Singers who have been accused of doing that have had their careers ruined. So, the idea that ARMYs would want that or that BTS would want that is career ruining and not a conversation that anyone who is not Korean gets to enter into unless they are seeking to give BTS a bad name and potentially ruin their career.
Koreans can come to the conclusion on their own that if a soccer player or a cellist who win high accolades and respect for Korea when they win certain internationally renown competitions in their field then why shouldn't a Kpop idol group who wins high accolades and brings such respect and recognition to their country deserve the same consideration, or not. Again, that is for them in their own country to decide. Not us.

The one thing that most definitely needs to change in the SK military is that they need to repeal Article 92-6 of the Army Criminal Act that demonizes and criminalizes consensual homosexual acts and allows for harassments and abuse. Which I know that we as a species have recently moved forward in progressing in this topic, especially in the US with our policies and civil protections that still need much work. Other than that, you are correct. But when even Amnesty International has stepped in for soldiers facing prison time, then the world needs to add their opinion. Other than that, it is the right of any country to expect military service of it's citizens, even in Israel, men and women have to serve after school. I think, aside from some human rights issues, that it is an interesting observation for someone coming from a country that see's military service as optional and voluntary.
Other than that, it seems that BTS is committed to honoring their duty which is in itself honorable for anyone.
This was most definitely not a criticism of your comment. I just would like to add to that conversation and say that it's okay to have an opinion, but it doesn't necessarily mean that anyone will care about it or take it into consideration, so we shouldn't worry too much about it.

I absolutely agree with the not interfering part. Not our country, not our business, we have no right what so ever to meddle. About Jin... Well, I never quote him because there's no point. Just because he says that it doesn't mean he really thinks so. 😀 As a public figure he can't exactly go around complaining about military and shouting that he hates the idea of disappearing for two years... 😂 The only sensible and smart thing to do is what he's doing. We will probably never know his real opinion on the matter.

One thing about this MV that I don't like is he didn't mentioned PD Bang already an established song writer for JYP. He has over 100 songs that he wrote for verious JYP artists. But the MV started off saying that PD Bang heard YG music and like the Hip Hop sounds. First Hip Hop was pretty big during that time. Second it sounds like that PD Bang try to copy YG sounds. Very misleading!

Of course due to BTS innovative video content, we all listen, watch, and read several times to get the full impact. You definitely should react to more of their MV’s both old an new especially if you intend to eventually react to their MMA and MAMA award performances.

What I noticed from watching the reaction video was that 'some people' missed a lot of important information about BTS because it was conveyed in written form on the video. their attention is torn between reading and watching. glad you enjoyed the video ..

I’ve watched this video for the first time with you guys and it’s was so well done and pretty accurate from what I know! Thanks for taking the time!
It would be cool to listen to some of the music and if you wanna start with something less overwhelming in regard to the amount of songs listen to their BE album, it’s 8 songs or so. It’s so good.
You can listen to the songs first if u want and then read the lyrics after, we don’t care as long as you know at the end what they tried to say, they put a huge emphasis on lyrics and we do as well, they also write their lyrics and it’s so authentic and so real.
And they have like three movies out and even more documentaries.
It’s hard to keep up but I’d love for you to watch their latest movie “Break the silence” it came out this summer and it’s about their latest tour and their thoughts on it.
I don’t know if you can do it on UA-cam but if you have a Patreon or something that’ll be cool
And in regard to their Japanese albums, yes they do sing and can also speak fluently in Japanese.
When they promote in Japan that always translate their original Korean songs in Japanese.
It’s a thing they do for better access I believe

The social awards they won, particularly the Billboard Social Artist of the Year that they have won 4 years running is basically for the artist with the biggest presence and following on social media. It’s one of the only fan voted categories at the Billboard Awards. You get nominated by being the most mentioned artist on various platforms (but mostly twitter) and then get votes by fans using a certain hashtag.
Prior to 2016 Justin Bieber won the award for the past 6 years. When BTS got nominated the Kpop community went crazy! Around the world! BTS won it, but not only one it, they got nearly 10 times as many votes. Even Kpop fans and Koreans who weren’t fans of BTS voted just trying to get Kpop a bit of recognition in America. Fans also spammed Twitter trying to get BTS invited to the award show because until then they had only been nominated, not actually invited. And it worked!! And ARMY turned out!!! We bought nearly all the audience seating and even though literally no one knew who they were we cheered the biggest for BTS even chanting and singing their songs during the commercial breaks to make sure every major US artist at that award show noticed BTS. TV producers were also shown the value of having BTS on your show or at your award. It was this award, created by ARMYs power and passion and reinforced by the entire Kpop community excited for any recognition of Kpop that broke BTS into America. They already had solid footing around the world and then they used America to actually go back home and dominate Korea...who until them just viewed them as a good, but pretty normal Kpop boy band.

It was because armys streamed the song because bts was in it, yet he failed to acknowledge bts in interviews and such when talking about the song going #1. Then he threw a party during the pandemic to celebrate #1 of “his” song failing to once again acknowledge bts and the producer, jawsh.

Also, when it comes to their concerts, I’m telling you in advance that it’s better to do it from various gadgets and look out for help from your friends. I know it from my own experience that buying a ticket for their concert is like hunger games and even worse. Its almost impossible, i would say. Since all the seats are sold out in MINUTES.
Secondly, in terms of struggling to read subtitles along with music video, you can do it like this. At first you watch it without subtitles, just to enjoy music and music video itself. And then you can watch it for the second time WITH subtitles. Dont mind that it would be too long for us to watch the video. We enjoy watching long reactions. As long as you’re comfortable to do that in order to understand better their songs and meanings put behind.
Okay, my comment became toooo long, however ,last but certainly not least, your smiles and proud faces whenever they accomplish new milestones and set the new records -is what i live for 😂thanks. Hope you weren’t tired and bored to read my poem commentaries 😂

This youtube channel has very accurate information, the guy uses these videos for his own studies as essays, he is really good at providing statistics.
Right now BTS has 2 video games, BTS World released on June 2019 and the lastest one BTS Universe Story released Sept 22, 2020.
About the movies they have abut 4 documentary movies: Burn The Stage, BTS World Tour, Love Yourself, Bring The Stage and thev latest Break The Silence.
The Top social artist is based on global online voting results and awarded by the Billboard Music awards.
I personally think you guys need to react to whole of albums if you want to catch up quickly, BTS discography is very extent, you could react to a song per day for over a year.
Thank you for taking the iniciative to react and be so open for BTS.

As reference, this is the order of BU universe (if sometime you want to watch this in correct order, based on BH release date). Almost every mv have engsub on it if you turn on cc button, but if it says 'autogenerated' just turn it off because it's not correct trans)
    Youth trilogy:
    - I need you mv (original ver)
    - HYYH on stage : prologue (for this you need to search one with eng sub, because BH didn't sub the mv)
    - Run mv
    - Epilogue : young forever
    Wings:
    - wings short film #1-7 (begin, lie, stigma, first love, reflection, mama, awake)
    - Blood sweat and tears mv
    - Love yourself highlight reel 1-4 based on bighit release date (I can't read it because they are on korean hangul)
    - Euphoria

People have prob already talked about this, but you cannot buy resell tickets for BTS concerts. When I last went in 2018, I was able to get into concerts with a resale ticket (but some people weren't so lucky and were turned away) but now they do tickets by lottery through the official fansite and you have to show an ID matching your ticket to get in.

It's a hunger game for concerts tickets. I had bought the resale ticket for $3000 which was the original price was $100 in 2018 at hongkong. Now bighit made strict rules with resale tickets and scammers by making mandatory weverse official fan club member ID as pass to book a ticket, two max tickets per iD. I had bought two tickets this year with different cities but it was unfortunate got cancelled due to covid. I hope to attend next year at least 5 concerts. I was never an adherent fan of any group or band or artists before but BTS made me break my own rules and let me live freely.

I would reccommend to watch the video with lyrics, you can just watch it twice, we don´t mind. For a few of them I would reccommend to watch the explanation video as well, so it doesn´t go over your head. And I would wait to get into the Bangtan Universe, mainly because it´s loong and intricate (most get confused), it´s made up of a lot of videos, one of the more knowledgable ARMY´s can surely provide the list of videos for BU. And you can do others in the meantime, there is a lot of content not linked to the BU. right of the bat I would suggest Bapsae (w/expl vid from DKDKTV) and Spine breaker (w/ expl vid from DKDKTV) those are songs with heavy social issues. MIC Drop is just awesome, Black Swan, Fire, Save me, Dope, Not Today, ON (both MV´s) and dance practices are always so fun. All these I mentioned are not part of the BU.

Suga has also said that his name is because people said his skin was white like Sugar. Just think that Joon (RM) is younger than 3 members, but he's their leader. Taehyung was the one that didn't get revealed until just before debut. He wasn't allowed to be on the guys vlogs or to interact with fans. He has said that affected him and he felt alone. This is probably why he's the most interactive of the guys with ARMY now. I was concerned that watching this might ruin your discovery, but I think it might prompt you to follow chronology to see their growth. All is the songs on each album are amazing and really tell a story about them. Their foundation and basis is still in Hip Hop/R&B, as evidenced a lot by the B-sides songs, but also the main releases. They weren't so much posing as they were not well received as the first Hip Hop idol group which was confusing in the market. Sounds like Chalfany is succumbing to Jimin Effect! Let it happen. Can't wait to see your discovery and hear your thoughts. I always watch the videos first, then watch with lyrics. Don't forget live performances and dance practices. 💜

Actually BTS has now put out 3 documentary movies as well as some series with the same themes : The Movie, Soul: The Movie, and : The Movie. You can find all three of them on Weverse but you must pay to add them to your account to watch them. They are not part of the free content....which there is also a lot of including BTS's variety show Run BTS! which you can view both on vlive and Weverse for free (they started on vlive app so the early episodes are only there (or on youtube by people) but the later episodes are on both vlive and weverse for free). Run BTS is a lot of fun to watch as you get to see the members personalities, they are effortlessly funny and entertaining. They do sing in Japanese for the Japanese songs the reason people say don't react to them is because the Japanese content is put out under another company in Japan who will copyright strike...however Stay Gold was released on the Big Hit youtube channel so you can react to that and you will be able to hear them sing/rap in Japanese.

    Japanese albums:
Yes, BTS themselves sing the songs themselves in their Japanese releases. Part of every idol training before debut is to learn Japanese. Why? Because next to US, Japan is the 2nd largest and most stable music market in the world. However, western market rarely penetrates this market (Michael Jackson and Celine Dion was the most successful) because the Japanese are very loyal to their own language. But because Japan has become a major market for KPop, companies have put a condition on their contract if KPop groups want to promote in Japan: they have to release Japanese songs and albums too. Yes, it’s actually written in black and white. KPop can sell their Korean albums, under the condition that they will also release music in Japanese.
So, with the addition of Dynamite, BTS now sings and speaks in 3 languages. RM speaks both Japanese and English fluently, while the members can get by with their singing and basic communications, although the other 6 are trying to learn English as fast as they can.
    Your Interaction:
I like your interaction with this video. It shows that you really have gotten more interested with BTS and I also think you have gotten more comfortable either in front of the camera or in commenting with your reactions. Or maybe we are slowly getting to know you and we are getting comfortable with you.
    This video:
Yes, I also think this video is the best that have come out to introduce BTS, but I think it’s because it is made by a more professional video editors and they now have plenty of data with the materials they can use. Data which was compiled by ARMY over the years. In my opinion they would not have been interested in making this if BTS is not as popular as they are now, so I would not discount the efforts ARMY editors have done over the years because they were the ones who made the effort to put together videos that we can use to introduce BTS in order to promote them.
As you get to know ARMY, you will realize the effort, work, studies and analysis we have done over the years in order to help BTS break the barriers of the west. We are their own marketing team who flies with the help of sophisticated data analysis and plans every comeback. BTS shows their talent and attract new ARMYs, but veteran ARMY train those new ARMYs so they can function like we do. And the video introductions amateur ARMY editors made, the meme video collections, the clips collections, those serves their purposes too.
If you have time, maybe you can watch this short video. Not for reaction, but just a reference to get to know ARMY a bit better.
    ua-cam.com/video/piCz8WRejKU/v-deo.html
Have a great day and I’m looking forward for more videos.

I think, every introduction video has his own goals, this one shows the professional musical side of BTS, but lags a lot of personal information, while the other ones concentrate of the human side of BTS and lags music wise. For example, this one missed to tell about the 8 times Jimin almost was cicked out even before the debut or that he was on this elite school, but couldn't pay for it, but his talent was so big, that they paid for him or the info, that Jungkook was send to america, to learn how to dance and show feelings with it or Jimins diet problems, or how they lived together in a little dorm with just one bedroom. There is so much information over BTS, that you need month, to even scratch the surface... But that is ok, everyone started once by zero 😊 Important is, that you find out, which videos belong to the storyline, before accidentally react to it in the wrong order, when you are interested in it (and the storyline is awesome!!!) and maybe look for a trusted person, to recommend you the right videos, because you have kind of bad luck with your decisions 😳🥴
What i wanted to say is,
each video helps to learn more about the group and that's the main goal! And... i love your reactions, keep it going 😊 Lots of love from germany 💜💜💜 (and i didn't wrote that last sentence, to excuse my bad english 👀😂)

In regards to BTS concert tickets, Big Hit made it that first tickets goes to BTS Official Fan members two days before they go to general public and you was only allowed to buy 2 tickets per show. Ticketmaster registered members was next day, then everyone else for general tickets. It had gotten to the point where the scalpers bought up all the tickets and was selling the $60 tickets for almost $300. So BH put a stop to the scalpers by limiting the number tickets to be bought. The only way you can get early tickets is to pay $30 for an annual official fan membership, which a lot of people did. It will still be hard to get tickets because ARMY like me kept my tickets because BH said to hold onto them because they will be honor when the concerts are rescheduled. I have tickets for the first two days for the RoseBowl. Good luck it trying to get tickets.

They are singing in Japanese on those albums. I know RM is fluent in Korean, English, and Japanese, and I believe some of the others are fluent in Japanese as well. The only reason people may have told you not to react to the Japanese stuff is because it is more likely to get a copyright strike. As long as it is on the BigHit channel, though, and plays the BigHit logo at the beginning (such as "Stay Gold" does), you should be fine.

  • @st1010
    @st1010 3 роки тому

The Japanese albums r ALL sung by them in Japanese. U can react to them but if u upload them on UA-cam, u could get copyright strikes. That's y ppl tell u not to react to them or at least upload them on Patreon instead. I have seen some UA-camrs not getting their videos taken down on some Japanese songs so it's up to u to make that decision to upload those reactions on UA-cam.
I think I remember mentioning a UA-camr who has a whole BTS roadmap laid out available for the public. If u want to take the route that he has where he started with their very 1st album & is working his way to the current album, that would be best instead of just going by random suggestions from viewers like most UA-camrs r doing. U can get access to the roadmap at landonmark.net
Another thing is that by just reacting to random song requests, u may ruin it for ur dive into the BTS Universe Storyline. That's y the best way is to start at the beginning imo & also u won't miss/skip any songs they release, minus the solo projects. If u don't start at the very beginning, u can at least start at the Storyline since it seems u know who's who now which is important to jump into the Storyline.
Lastly, I think I've also mentioned b4 that u don't have to react to a video one time thru only. Many reactors have done it where they 1st listen/watch the video for the feel & visuals. Then in the same reaction video, go back a 2nd time & analyze the lyrics. Pause & rewind as much as u need to during a reaction. Watch it 3 times if u need/want. We don't mind at all as long as u take the time to understand the song.
Btw, where in Michigan r u? I'm in Warren 😁💜

also why listen to bts outside of the channel? then many people will be upset they cant get your genuine first impression reaction. maybe its time to get back to music reactions so u can put the songs u react to on ur spotify/ itunes playlist

💜🎶 At 45:25, BTS’s Japanese songs are all Japanese & they sing in Japanese. Also copyright of their Japanese songs, their performances video & even the fancam video are belongs to Japanese agency of BTS not BTS or BigHit. That is why whoever posted video related with BTS’s Japanese songs & performances even the FanCam often get copyright strikes from Japanese agency.
I know it is bizarre but in order for Korean musicians to release their music in Japan which is 2nd biggest market in world wide after U.S. there are certain rules they have to follow like they have to sing only Japanese(no Korean), they have to release certain numbers of Japanese songs which they can sing only in Japan, have to attend numbers of fan meeting to shake hands, sign the albums, playing strange & silly Japanese games with fans, sing for them & more. In order for Korean musicians to officially work in Japanese music industry like releasing music, doing performances on TV & opening concerts they have to sign separate contract with Japanese agency & goes through every music activities by the contract. The copyrights of all their Japan related music activities belong to Japanese agency. These rules were setup between Japanese music industry & those big Korean entertainment companies long time ago & it hasn’t broken until recently. After their billboard no. 1 winning, BTS has sang their hit song ‘Mic Drop’ in Korean & they are the first musicians who sang in Korean at Japanese national TV show. In order to understand why thieve things happened,
you have to understand bad history between Korea & Japan. Between 1910-1945, Japan has forcefully invaded Korea, colonized, worked meticulously to wipe out or steal Korean culture, language and history to their own & did terrible things to Korean people but never officially apologize until now. Majority of Japanese are still trying to do exactly same, like recently one of the Japanese boy band call ‘Arashi’ which is famous in Japan said on billboard interviews that the success of Asian pop stars like BTS should be credited to Japanese star like ‘Johnny Kitagawa’ in the 1960s who won first & only no.1 on billboard hot 100 chart before BTS.
At 47:38, What is wrong with Jason Derulo & song ‘Savage love’ is that first, the song originally came from “Laxed(siren beat made by Jawsh 685)” to become a song known as "Savage Love", is actually a composed & song by New Zealand music producer ‘Jawsh 685’. On 11 May 2020, Derulo teased "Savage Love" which was built off of a sample of "Laxed (Siren Beat)" created by Jawsh 685. However, Derulo did not credit Jawsh 685 nor did Derulo obtain clearance for the sample. This sparked widespread backlash and calls for Derulo to properly clear the sample and credit Jawsh 685. It was reported that Jawsh 685 was in talks with multiple artists, including Derulo, to remix "Laxed (Siren Beat)", but Derulo "went 'rogue'" and released "Savage Love" without properly obtaining permission to do so. Later Columbia Records announced that the two artists had "put aside their differences" with Jawsh 685 allowing Derulo to use the sample. Jawsh 685 is credited as an artist and co-writer, as well as the track's sole producer & the song made no.2 on billboard charts in US. Then Oct, 2020, ‘Savage love’ remixed version with BTS won No. 1 in billboard hot 100 charts, Jason Derulo took a credit all by himself again & did not acknowledge the huge contribution of ether BTS or Jawsh 685. And of course this time, it got back fired big time by Army all around the world & dropped out of no.1 spot on billboard charts. And Jason Delulo earned the permanent name as ‘the Thief’.
At 50:57, the ‘Social Award’ is awarded based on major fan interactions with music including streaming and any fans related engagement & activities through ‘SOCIAL NETWORKING’ & online activities, together with the global online voting results. Currently ‘Justin Bieber’ held the record for 6 times in a row from his first winning in 2011 & BTS might break that record soon.
I hope these informations would help you guys to understand little bit more about our BTS & Army.
Thanks again for choosing to react to this rather long video & share your thoughts genuinely because I think it will be helpful to newly joining fans to find out more accurate & facts based informations about BTS.
As your next reaction videos, may I suggest you to alternate react between your choice of their song or MV, if there is any explanation video to that song or MV then react to that follow by their live performances of that song, time to time react to some of the video highly recommended in comments & set a premiere date to react to BTS live performances of Korean awards show like MMA & MAMA of each years because these award show performances are just spectacular & some will make you speechless. I am looking forward to see this year award show performances.
Most importantly, Just try not to focus on one or two particular members even though they are the high demands because ever since BTS becomes this big, some of the fans(especially young one)became fan of one particular member & obsessed to build & prove that member’s popularity that they would bring negatives, argue & fight by discrediting other members in comment sections & bring chaos to this lovely BTS fandom. Sometimes they would go even further by harassing & sabotaging particular Utube reactors who would complement one member more then the others or when they naming their favorite members. These horrible actions have nothing to do with BTS members but created by misplaced & misjudged loyalties, their own personal insecurities, greed, jealousy & competitiveness of some small & narrow minded fans. That is why we have created acronym ‘OT7’ which you might have heard already that someone say their bias is "OT7." That stands for One True 7, meaning they just love all seven members equally and can't choose a favorite. So if you choose to react to video of one particular member, try to react to the similar video of other members soon. Of course there is nothing wrong with choosing your favorite members or they called it “Bias” but when you react, try to mention & complement fairly. I think Charlie would have some ideas because as a teacher, you have to respond fairly to all the students.
Looking forward to your next reaction video & pls, stay safe, healthy, positive & happy! 🎶💜
