@@BeforeYouPlay Yeah I noticed, but the changes are very small ...for example, the final version has an actual picture on the player board showing how to place foundation tiles for the research! thanks
This game looks awesome! First time viewer here! I do have to say, that you have the best gameplays in the industry - as you explain everything you are doing along the way! Thank you!
Naveen did Monique so dirty and undercut her and took that “water job”. However, due to a slight ‘oversight’ Naveen lost……..Karma? I dunno. Lol. Totally kidding, love this video, I watched this video twice. I am backing the game and this video is the reason why. So many good options in watching tabletop gaming content. Lots of awesome couples too.
just got my copy today...its amazing...and the solo mode is super sadistic....i luv it...uwe would be proud....lol! multi-player lose 3 vp for each unfed astronaut...solo mode just lose....so great....10 out of 10! loved the playthrough.......
This gave me a serious Anachrony vibe, at least in the beginning. Miniatures with backpacks to put marker in them - a feature not used very often. But the rest of the mechanisms / gameplay seem simpler and more streamlined here. Very interested to try it.
This looks really fun! Thanks for the playthrough - it's concise and clear. I looked at the rules and was slightly disappointed to see that there are only 4 factions and some other options for randomization aren't that robust, which is a shame. The framework looks really fun and deep.
I’m so spoiled. I hope the cubes are upgraded to something a little bit more thematic. The cubes are so functional, but I have some tokens with actual metal so perhaps I will swap these out. They are a bit larger than the cubes but it will make me feel more immersed in the building a colony/working on the moon.
Question: What was the one thing that made me back this campaign? Answer (for me): Asymmetric powers? The way that Monique leaned into the “Cylons” really made me want to play this game? I was like, “Wait so she doesn’t have to feed her people?” “But wait, it’s hard to recruit more and she needs metal/alloy to make more workers?” I will also say, I just got finished playing “Solar Sphere” with my significant other and that put me in the sci-fi pioneer/worker placement mode.
Naveen might have won if Monique hadn't cheated with not removing her specialized workers. I will say it was a lot closer than I thought. Thanks for the playthrough! An interesting game all round.
38:05 Naveen forgot to take a wild resource for his workers faction ability, and also does taking the lab on the second row cost 1 more energy? so it wld cost 3 not 2 to take the lab that Naveen took?
Yeah Naveen forgot about his faction ability a couple of times. In terms of the lab tile, when taking a “special research action” after making a part improvement, you don’t have to pay the extra energy.
@@BeforeYouPlay Thank you for the reply! I should've clarified: Do you use a C Stand to mount the camera or have some kind of arm mount? It looks fantastic!
Got my Version today - thx for the amazing Video 🎉
Yay, hope you enjoy!!
Naveens name pronunciations at the beginning was on point. I saw that smirk and containment. Nice work!
Took about 6-7 takes 😉.
@@BeforeYouPlay LOL😂 Humility to boot! I was thinking of the same compliment. Nice, Naveen (don't care how many takes).
Again a pretty good video. I'm always glad to see, that you're making a video to a kickstarter I'm interested in.
I just received my copy today, it was hard to learn it via the rule book , but your video made it easy thanks ...
Heck yeah! So glad we could help out! Just be aware that this was still a prototype so some tweaks may have been made.

Thanks for the kind words, hope you found the video fun and helpful! 😀
Love this couple :) Thank you guys!

Thanks for the succinct teach!!
Great play through. I backed this and glad I did. Giving vibes or Anachrony, Barrage, on Mars and Scythe. All games that have fun mechanics.
Thank you! Sounds like we have similar gaming tastes
Thank you for the detailed insights! Appreciate it!
Our pleasure, thanks for watching!
Monique - just discovered you're a killer vocalist and can play ukelele and guitar! No end to your talents! Great video guys!
Awwww haha thank you so much!

54:48 Wow! That ability seems so overpowered! 😉

Thanks for this!
You’re welcome!!
38:01 And Naveen is back in the game now! 😉
This looks really fun!

The Kickstarter has now unlocked 2 more factions as of this comment and I would imagine more are planned.

Yeah we aren’t too sure what the final production will look like. Realistic resources would be awesome!

So glad we helped showcase the game!!
From our understanding there are several asymmetric factions too.
you can see how certain mechanics desperately look for novelty -put working meeples into working meeples etc.
Anachrony did that before 😋
Gotta do something 🤪
Naveen might have won if Monique hadn't cheated with not removing her specialized workers. I will say it was a lot closer than I thought.
Thanks for the playthrough! An interesting game all round.
Lol yeah, Naveen definitely would have had a closer shot. We didn’t get a proper clarification on that symbol until after filming, unfortunately!
29:09 So what happens if you are unable to feed your astronauts? Thanks.
You lose 3 points as per the prototype rules.
Great playthrough! Think Naveen would have won if he had used his special abilities more! 😂 But great job both!
You may have covered this at some point so not sure if I missed it… is there any opportunity to rearrange your astronauts between the three rovers?
No, once the astronauts are placed you cannot rearrange them
The Cylons special ability just seemed way OP compared to Naveens. Other than that good game 😀
No need to feed!! 🌱
Not that similar in plot, but an old, forgotten sci-fi novel this game recalled to mind: First Men in the Moon (1901) by H.G. Wells.🚀
Ooooh HG Wells! Definitely intrigued
Naveen's shirt is gorgeous.
Thank you so much!!
Naveen's gorgeous.
@@coyotemoon722 Yeah, not gonna lie, you have something there. XD

While hexagons are the bestagons, those are octogons...
00:00:06 fyi it's prononced "yo-an", don't worry the error is made in french too. ;)
00:03:13 What?! But isn't the moon made of cheese?!
Oh thank you for that pronunciation correction. We struggle with that sometimes! And LOL yes, how could they forget the cheese moon?!
Hello! Would you be able to share what you use to get the top down view? I am making videos, but don't have a way to get those shots yet. Thank you!
We use a Panasonic GH5 for the top-down. It can record continuously, which is the biggest plus
@@BeforeYouPlay Thank you for the reply! I should've clarified: Do you use a C Stand to mount the camera or have some kind of arm mount? It looks fantastic!
@@TotallyBoard oh haha sorry! Yes, we use a C-stand. Highly recommend! It’s very sturdy and mobile for making adjustments
@@BeforeYouPlay just bought one :) thank you so much for the reply!
This is a game that is normally right in my wheelhouse. Unfortunately the quoted shipping to me is half the price of the game :(
Ahhhh that shipping!! We wish it weren’t that way =/
Will this be available retail or just on Kickstarter?
Looks like they will have some retail partners in France. They haven't indicated one way or another about other retail options though.
