It's many years since I've been to the Eden project. It's truly fantastic and a great intro to the rainforest. Of course, it's not quite the same as a real rainforest, primarily due to the lack of animals. In a real rainforest you will be close to monkeys, snakes, frogs, birds, countless insects and plenty of leeches. And loads more. And the noise. Especially at night. Rainforests are sooooo loud at night. Truly amazing
The Piemonte region of Italy and the adjoining part of Switzerland (Locarno and Lugano), as well as the Black Sea coast from Sochi to Batumi and Rize, as well as part of the Basque Country have subtropical rainforests. Parts of lowland Montenegro and the western Azores and windward Madeira could also qualify.
@@dweuromaxx That's great to know! I live in the tropics -- exactly on the foothills of the beautiful Mt. Makiling here in Laguna, Philippines. I know exactly the sense of living with the rainforest. I'm glad that you now have one albeit indoor on Europe! Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines!
The Eden Project is well worth a visit - allow a whole day. But in Britain we don't make it easy for Continental visitors. If you make it past the Channel Tunnel, you'll need to allow a whole day's (very stressful) driving for the next 500km. Enjoy!
Ok, somebody please explain this to me. It's an artificial "rainforest", but it never gets a single drop of rain entirely? Only the sunlight So how do they go watering it??? What are the roofs made of?
@Adn 127 Rahbaania Yes, it rains regularly due to a sophisticated sprinkler system. Those 500 roof panels are made of steel and Efte (Ethyltetrafluoroethylene to be precise 😉).

A fantastic place. Well worth visiting.
There are plenty of rainforests in Europe outdoors - temperate rainforests.

I hope it rains (literally) inside that greenhouse. It's a rainforest to begin with!
@Yeng Sabio They have developed a very sophisticated irrigation system there - So, yes, grab an umbrella once you plan visiting..😉☔

I really enjoyed your video. Great channel. ⭐️💕
Greetings from Albania. 👋🏼🇦🇱
Thank you so much!
Europe also has natural temperate Rainforests, like Scotland and Ireland
Yeah the biriish Isle is very diverse
Wouldn't it be cool to have a greenhouse so big, clouds condense and rain falls. Impractical I'm sure but ...
0:29 he was rushed to the hospital after he did that
Interesting to see
Tropical rainforests are often called the “lungs of the planet." Anonymous

What about wildlife? You can't have a complete ecosystem without wildlife so I guess human intervention required. Great video!
