WOW I’ve just come across this great informative site and apart from railway’s in the background a genuine Ships Clock a chart plotter a mamod steam engine. ? ? This could be my house lol. Loved the video thank you.
Great technique Debbie going all out with my old Hornby platforms going to double up on the widths and add Hornby canopy’s with a slight curve and use your technique to cover the whole platform wish me luck off the b & q to get some grout..........tony
You'll be getting every man in the country that does model railways pinching their wife's makeup brush into trouble now. I had to come back and have a second look at your platforms unwell impressed
Can I suggest a way of disappearing the butt joints? If you carefully cut away every other slab at the mating edge, and then do the reverse on the adjacent one, they can then slot together. When glued down and painted, the sheet edges vanish. "Don't tell 'em Pike"....... This technique also works on brick or stone walling, if it's a long stretch.
Hi Debbie That's a really, really, good idea for recycling older plastic kits etc, I hope you will do some more of these sort of videos, Thanks (just Subscribed)
Lovely job Debbie it does make them look a lot better. I improved my hornby platforms by giving them away lol. Great explanation of how to do the painting atb Andy
Impressive, both because the result is astonishing, but the technique to get is is surprisingly simple. I take notes for my own home-made platforms (because Piko track and dual use OO/HO, replace the buildings and change the rolling stock). In short, splendid.
Very well done. Abet the edging needs sorting, Also for a tarmac effect, Rust oleum old iron rattle can spray is ideal.
New Sub from Barnabas Junction! Great job on the platforms! - Jason

Hi Debbie, you really transformed the look of the platform, it was well worth the time spent to achieve the realistic finish. Cheers, Paul.

Wonderful! I do similar with Busch card wooden planks. I love the tones you got. The Hornby platforms are great for upgrading and kitbashing.
