I NEED an Occipital lift!! This is the 1st time I’ve EVER heard of such a thing. And I’ve been going to chiros since I was 13 years old!! (I’m MUCH older now)
Had this done at my chiropractor once. Felt awesome and I could feel the blood coming back to my head. And my eyesight improved like it used to be. I could move my head side-to-side again, but then about two hours later came back worse than ever side of my head swelled up and so did my right eye. The pain was unbelievable after that. But initially was a relief
@@levihan3777 i did go to the hospital, but the said there was nothing wrong with me. They really just checked me for glaucoma and diabetes and sent me home if you can believe that. But I just found out that the C5 disc in my neck is degenerative parsley slipped pinched nerve and c3 is also a slip disc.
I've been getting these tension headaches at the base of my skull, usually a dull pain that travels to the back of my eyes. Usually it happens on just one side but it's very frequent that I get them. Would this help? Where can I find a chiropractor that specializes in this technique?
Sarah Jane I live in Toronto Ontario, Canada. I’m not sure if he’s able to help or if anyone knows where I can find one who specializes in this. I am aware he is in the US so it might be difficult to find for someone in another country.
I wish I knew of a Chiroprator.. here in SEattle that can Adjust like this.. I'm in so much pain from Occipital Neuralgia.. I'm on Whidbey Island there is NO ONE.. that can do this Adjustment.. Can you Imagine this.. HELP !
I contacted you during pandemic but couldn’t come since I was caring for mom 24/7…she passed away last week and it’s left me drained and exhausted from grief …do you still offer free sessions that are videotaped or accept Medicare?
Hi Mark again! Really, I'm sorry for your loss, my condolences to you and your family. We are not doing UA-cam Shoot Days. If we do in the future, I post it on the Community section in this UA-cam channel. I am not in any insurance plans.
A lot more time needs to be spent relaxing the patient, building trust, having them relaxing into his hands, slowly moving the head back and forth, relaxing the shoulder, and finally performing the adjustment. I could tell that a lot of the patients got a limited and more painful adjustment because enough time was not taken, and the adjustment was hurried.
6:23 My Gosh !!! Free from all sins !! He's a new man! I'd like to understand this adjustment. There is an adjustment where the neck is rotated. And there is this Occipital Lift . What is the difference?
Well unless if you're violently wrenching your fingers, you're not doing any actual damage. Donald L. Unger won the Ig Nobel prize for proving that cracking your knuckles doesn't cause arthritis. He cracked the knuckles on his hand (can't remember if it's just one or both) for 60 years, just to prove it doesn't cause arthritis. Now as for the whole neck cracking thing. The more quackery chiros make the claim that they're putting the nervous system into alignment or relieving pressure off the nervous system. If you've done a course in neuroanatomy, you'd find this claim dubious at best. The more "science-based" chiros, or the chiros that lean towards physiotherapy, will make the claim that adjustments create movement in stiff joint, which promote nutrients to move into the joints. Think massage logic, but instead of muscles, it's for joints. Currently, there is no scientific evidence to support this claim (but something might've changed in the last few months since I checked in on this space). The more accepted reason as to why chiropractic adjustments feel good is that like a massage, the movement jolt it creates, causes an endorphin rush which makes us feel good and relax.
@@christophercorrado2406 Details of anatomy haven't changed since the '80s. You are cavitating a joint, causing gas to bubble out of synovial fluid. This is what you're hearing, whether your fingers or spinal column. Dope.
Thanks for the instruction at the beginning of the video, I cracked my head super easily (leaning my head to the right) - and also cracked my left jaw. Feels great! By the ways, is cracking other part of your face/skull when doing occipital lift on oneself normal? I sometimes feel and hear cracks inside my nose, the part right between my upper front teeth, jaw (both side) and even the top of my skull. I once felt it in my throat for reasons XD And yes, I can taste it too. The change of taste in my saliva after a good crack.
If there is ever a remake of "Little Shop of Horrors", I think there should be a rewrite from a dentist office to a chiropractor office visit doing an occipital lift!
You Sir have just earned a sub. I just recently unsub'd to 1 who's office must be in Nevada near the Mustang Ranch b/c just about all his "patients" look like ho's, and he wears a 3 piece suit, suspenders, cufflinks, tie bar and all.. lol

Hi Heather, I wish you could get a chiro adjustment!
Dr. Doug Willen: House of Chiro thx! So do I !!
Gawd, this was satisfying.
This is so easy to do... tried it on my brother. He's been asleep for like 2 days straight now. Can't wait till he wakes up to tell me how he feels.
😂
Yeah I learned it from action movies.
Is he still asleep after a year? Looking to try this on myself, but I don’t know how long one goes to sleep after.

False posture and in many cases fat stockage due to cushing syndrome, but not automatically.

Thanks Olivia!
Does it hurt?? Or does it just feel strange?
@drdougwillen when looking for a chiropractor what do I ask them if i wanted them to crack things it seems they all just use that actualtor these days
I think the best thing would be to ask around where you live and get a recommendation after you hear your friends describe the session.
