Nah man, it's not. The application opens of February 1st, 2024. I'm a senior in high school and I just got my acceptance, and I went to SLE this past summer. It's a great experience and it tells you everything you need to know about USMA. But be careful, because once you go, you'll get hooked super quick.

I have ideas on how to better market the military in order to get more recruits.
I'm sure on your guys' end it seems like an uphill battle, but I genuinley feel it'd be incredibly easy if you just changed the angle of how you market yourselves.
Tldr (but trust me, i could go on for days on this topic) is you have to change the minds of young people who HATE the military. You guys market to people who are already okay with the military aestetic, which is a SHRINKING niche crowd of people.
You don't change anything about the actual day to day of the military, you just change how you market it to folks. Make that big thing seem not only digestable, but fun and not like you're a sellout.
    1. Focus less on formalities or an appeal to "duty". For many many zoomers and genA this is hyper cringe and cheesy. Individuality is king for that demographic.
    2. Instead focus on the moneymaking , exceptional learning and "grindset" the military puts you through. How as someone in xyz branch you have access to big toys, therefore an expertise in something not many people will have an expertise in. We literally live in the age of information where people are hungry to learn more. Embrace that. The message you should be aiming for is "what cool military stuff will you learn that will make you a crazy competent civilian?" What can you learn that you can show off later on. You should be in the "how to get rich quick" side of youtube, but without the stinky uniforms. Interview your captains and recruits in their civilian clothes and how much they make and what they can do in their freetime, but also what they learn on the job. Show them achieving their dreams, many people, like myself, want to make comics or have some kind of reach online. Its distracting us from defending our country.
    3. Keep as casual a tone as you can in your adverts. As a former teen who HATED the military, I can wholeheartedly tell you it is Bad when your target demographics stomach sinks and get major anxiety when your cheesy dumb adverts pop up? Instead of emphasising all this stuffy, over-formal advertising, keep it light. You know those gatorade comercials where you see cool people working out? Take after that style. Show soldiers and servicemembers, only once or twice in stuffy uniforms, and instead do your best to show them in their, more digestable, PT clothes. I'm not saying don't fake advertise, these comercials still need to communicate the importance of the job they'll be doing. But you just need it to be fun and quick. If you do show off dress uniforms or BDUs, make the actors look like cool videogame characters like from CoD. Individual and unique while still within regulation.
In those civilian clothed interviews i mentioned, avoid hyper rigid military words. Marine, Soldier, Grunt, Airman, Midshipmen. Try to keep the language casual to "I did Navy stuff" "I happen to work in the Marines".
    4. I'm gonna guess 90% of young civilians don't want to be defined by the military. It's like a black moldy spot on your timeline you can't get tid of to people who hate the military. And this moldy spot creates someone who is "less then". Don't dhoot the messenger, this isn't how I feel anymore. Regardless, advertising wise, you need to assure people the military is just a gig. A solid, very important DONT FUCK THIS UP gig. But its just a gig. When you're doing military stuff, you're an actor going through the necesary motions, but military service doesn't define you. I used to fear the haircut for example, but now that i wear a convincing wig that looks just like my real hair, I would have no reason to care about that anymore
