This whole fight gave "power of friendship" in the best way possible
This is the best way to put it honestly. It wasn't corny at all, I was almost in tears.
I hate power of friendship, thats the most overused shit in all of fiction. BUT here.. hoyoverse was just cooking.

@@anadaere6861 exactly. This is why the power of friendship finally works. Because it IS the direct foil to the antagonist's idealism. It's not shoehorned in because it's an appropriate, if overused lesson to be used, but rather a core aspect of the battle of ideals that Penacony was.

I wish I could have seen more lines when I did the fight (the echo of war doesn't include the lines). I ended up only getting Welt and Himeko before the fight ended. And still haven't found a good way to hear all the lines. . .

I just realized that Sunday has an awfully similar motive with Takuto Maruki from Persona 5 Royal. both of them just want to save people from suffering by either controlling their fates or trapping them into a false reality where no one has to suffer.

Just so he can call himself a god and gain thousands of puppets for himself.

@@mind_palaceThe whole point was that no one side was ultimately wrong, and while you can definitely see it as Sunday/Maruki wanting power, but that’s ignoring the fact that he has nothing to gain from doing this, he would be the only one awake, in pain and maintaining the dream while everyone else lives blissfully. So no, both Maruki and Sunday truly want what they believe is good for humanity, and they are not selfish nor narcissistic, in fact they are the most selfless ones, willing to hold the weight of this role so people can be painless, though I suppose in Sunday’s case he isn’t as sympathetic as Maruki.

I liked dan heng line the most... Sunday is not a villain and he can see that. He wants to help the most people he can even if not by the best of ways.

the best experience you'll ever have compared to 2nd,3rd or 4th.. learned that from experience. Not saying you shouldn't experience it again but rather its best if its only a one time event to cherish it even more than just doing it over and over again until the vibes ran out. but of course this differs by other people

yea this boss is about to get the aventurine treatement lmao ive already seen players complaining about its difficulty
i was complaining about it till i realised you had to get to the 2nd phase and you would be good. its not that hard of a fight for the story but the echo is only fine cause i can use an e6s5 acheron
lol it was actually so easy by using aventurine. and I even brought my undercooked acheron with me [only 20 CR] and got scared for a second when I realized I didn't have anyone in the team to make her CR better.... but it still ended up being good. Even got an achievement for not losing any shield or HP from Sunday's big hit :D
It's not hard, you just need to play around the boss ability instead of bashing your head in and praying that it works

I may never know of it’s true difficulty in the story because I went to unga bunga with Gallagher and Fu xuan, everyone was at full health the entire time (besides fu xuan)
But yeah, it’s holy easy after I decided to use fu xuan only in the echo of war, i had much more trouble with a pre-nerf aventurine than this
I came to the belief that people who complain about difficulty are people who don’t know or are too lazy to build the characters properly otherwise you have no excuse to fail against bosses especially those of the story quests cuz those are tuned to be weaker and nerfed than they actually are otherwise

This boss at first was hard to get past through first phase, but I changed my team a lil bit then was able to get through it, this is easily the best boss fight, the music is also easily wildfire level
The plot twist of us being in a dream was insane, I was so shocked, I knew it was too easy but still
God when the music hits at 2:42 it just sends chills down my whole body

Just finished the quest last night and goddamnit I was holding my tears because my friends were watching with me (on Discord) especially when Robin suddenly sang.
What's funnier is that I literally ended the boss fight with me railing Sunday ON PURE ACCIDENT and everyone laughed at how fitting it was.
Hoyoverse cooked with Penacony 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I've never enjoyed doing the quests like this again after Sumeru AQ, it was just SO. GOOD. I literally freaking cried at 2 am TWICE during patch 2.0 and 2.1 with Firefly and Aventurine's story, then with Misha and Gallagher. IT WAS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL.

This battle definitely taught me the reason to build/focus more on the support.

so interesting but in the first fight with the Dominicus/Septimus? the choir background is so discordant (but somehow harmonious at the same tiem) and really ominous. but when finally break free from the dream and fight Sunday for real, the choir now sings the penacony ost with a mix of the previous ost background. they're kinda like fighting

Late to say this, but if you notice in the animated scene where Sunday turns into Dominicus, you can hear a female women’s voice mixed in with his voice. Meaning it could be either Enna, or most likely Xipe’s voice who Sunday usurped, sounds like her too. Cool detail. The voice is also there in Sundays ever battle voice line I believe.
managed to beat him first try when i was messing around with my weakness break team ( Ruan Mei, HarmonyMC, Gallagher and Himeko )
RM and MC combo was so nasty it made my Gallagher deletes 2 bar with an attack 😭😭😭
I love how trailblazer says "wake up" (9:22) only in this battle Unfortunately this sentence is not actually included in the battle voicelines :')

When I first fought his final form I had around 20kish over shield, if you cant reduce his toughness there, you literally just die from the damage of that atk.
That being said, this was truly an amazing finale to penacony.
like god dayum, i was vibing harder than in Cocolias fight. Robin cheerleading with her songs is true MVP :D
I hope this fight makes it to echoes of war or some other kind of replayable fight.

I gotta says thia times the enemy kinda hard for f2p that using weak or not powerfull character enough to clear it for me i strunggle for the sunday task 82 lvl and get destory so easily my team
I struggled more with the 3 little fuckers during the first fight compared to Sunday himself, probably because I changed from Xueyi team to Ratio team. The 3 musketeer got me fucked up since I can't break all of them, and need to pray for my SW to land quantum weakness instead of ice lol. Sunday was easier since I can just spam his ass, get shield and tank the dmg.

somehow this boss s much easier than pre-nerf Aventurine, back on pre nerf Avent my harmony and abundance (which i only Lynx and Nat) cant do anything everytime they got chosen as the one who roll the dice, pre nerf aventurine dice only target one unit with a massive dmg if player failed to get higher number. and i only have Qingque, TB Fire, Sparkle, and Lynx/Nat.
Now i only need to bring Asta, Serval, TB img, Lynx. and only mc hit lv80, no 5* sign, and only serval got lv80 LC, the other are really under lvled on char and trace. i dont even bother to put 4 pc relic, i just focus on the main stat. thxfully they add super break mechanic, without super break it might took an hour to fight the Pillar Man and that Golden boss
