Yo just wanted to throw this out there for ya. If you use a blowtorch to make the corners in ABS you can get it super exact, and it heats up way faster. It also doesn't bubble up nearly as badly as it does with a heat gun.

Considering you like to do art and work on your car maybe you should make Mock ups or Molds in clay first. Then use your choice of Fiberglass, Kevlar, or Carbon Fiber to make the part in question. Just a suggestion considering you like art. Currently using this trick to make a new hood for my 69 Mustang Mach 1 out of Carbon and Kevlar and it makes the whole process significantly easier.

You don't need to side pieces at all. REAL diffusers normally only take up 70% of the rear width of the car. They are not for routing side air, only bottom air with top air.
