Many thanks for your upload. Just had to do this, and repair the plastic end that had broken. (Super glue and ash….top UA-cam tip!) The worst part was finding the screw holes again- and getting them screwed to just the correct depth- I found the blind wouldn’t retract if they were too deep! Very clear instructions- thanks again😊
You might find that 25 turns is too much. Makes my blinds very tight to pull across. 20-22 turns might be better. Mind you, I'm not taking them off again to adjust. The spring slipped on one and ripped my finger just below the nail! The tutorial here is just as good for the mesh side as for the blind side. Everything looks so much tidier now.
Thank you for making this video, the plastic line had started coming out of the flyscreen on my motorhome roof light and the clips needed adjusting to keep the blinds in place when closed. This video made it effortless for me to fix it myself 😍😎👍🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks for taking the time and effort to create this video. Just sorted the tension out on the fly screen on our Heki and couldn't have done it without watching your video first.
WOW, just picked up or bailey bretagne from storage and the blind had gone back home for some reason, also the heki roof had sprung a leak causing a little bit but not too much damage. I have spent the afternoon looking for a replacement - i need to remove the outside as well later to re seat it, but some places are asking silly money. this is perfect and will get this fixed for cheap. Thankyou you are a life saver
Love your work mate! Just a quick comment - When I took mine apart I secured the spring rod and then unwound it slowly once it was free. 12 full turns is all that mine was on, and 12 was fine when I put it back in. Cheers from Australia!
Great video thank you! I bought a new Heki 2 for my motorhome and the fly screen is very floppy so wanted to adjust it but had no clue. I practised on the old one and your spanner, 25 turns worked a treat. I was a little nervous about prising the plastic back to allow the other side in tho!!😄
Thanks lots. This gave me confidence to do it for myself. Of course swapping the insect screen, cutting my own was always going to have other issues-like the plastic rod being glued in at the end! Still, I got there so thanks. If anyone is interested, green whipper snippet cord seems to be fine !
Found this video very interesting- my issue is the blind opens up occasionally and gives you a fright in the middle of the night !! After watching this I think it’s just one of the blinds ( main or fly screen) that needs retentioning . Many thanks
damn.. just bought the original spare ... sob... (85€) ;) Next time I will have the holes issue on it I will follow your suggestion but actually, I don't understand where you bought this blind and I can't find it with the words you mentioned (what eBay shop if possible please?). Another thing that is not so clear to me: the original one is sun reflective on the upper part, the eBay one you have used seems not.. isn't it? Just asking because also with the reflective side, this huge windows warm up a lot the caravan. Many many thanks!

@@julescrowther1020 thanks a lot. So my doubt is right - it is NOT reflective (the difference of thermal propagation underneath a reflective blind is very high.... i was hopeing to be wrong). Many thanks
Great job, made this job so much easier for me

Thank you very much Jules. Mines needs retentioning, but after seeing your brilliant video, i've decided to replace the material as well. Cheers 👍
Once again this video has come to my rescue !!

Thank you just had to this with this video job was a doddle and got my blind for Argos for £8 winner
Thanks very much I replaced ours today, saved me a few ££. Cheers.
Great video, really helpful. I've just been quoted over £280 to replace the skylight when I'm sure it's just that the blind needs to be re-tensioned.
Thanks for making this very helpful 😊
Thanks for showing me how to do this.
Thanks! Very Helpful, Mate!
great work Jules!! i will try on my Heki!!! thank you very much!! Luca

Thank you for this video, it is great. Can you advise me what material you used and how many times (rotation ) you shot the spring ?
Hi, love the video, going to try and do it myself soon, do you know the size of blind you ordered as caravan in storage.
Thanks,
Kind regards Dave.

Thanks for that, another job to do. Cheers.
Lifesaver!! 🙌🙌
When you ordered your blinds did you have to state you wanted material only and not blinds plz
Are you able to give the measurements for the blind you ordered?
Sorry, just read your reply to a previous question 😊👍🏽
Well done, very good and informative video, just one question, where did you get the new blind material from please. Many thanks.

Hi mate did you take out and measure the blind first ? Thanks
We didn't take it out completely. Just took it out the runners and stretched it out fully then measured it. Hope that helps
@@julescrowther1020 hi great I’ll have a go at ours probably end up breaking something lol thanks for getting back
