I wasn’t a fan of Lewis when he was winning all the time with Mercedes. I must say that he has handled adversity pretty well, especially this race, asking for more power to attack Perez. Now I’d like to see him get a win.
@@ponchis1966 I remember him always saying how he wanted to race and didn’t just want to be winning w/ out having to really try. And then after this aero era began…. Well he got what he asked for.
George's is only ever happy when he beats Lewis even if George comes 19th and Lewis comes 20th! Where as Lewis wants to battle and be able to race hard (if given the car) regardless of where he finishes! That's the difference between the two.
To be fair his teammate is arguably the goat so beating Lewis is a very clear benchmark to have. Lewis on the other hand has nothing to prove anymore, especially since he's leaving to Ferrari anyways.
@@sannidhyabalkote9536 bro that race, so many surprising things happened but it was a good race probably the best so far this year and checo will defo get his win or wins this year

Driving a Mclaren F1 car, Check. Driving his hero car, check. Winning a F1 race, check. Winning a championship in a Mclaren, check.... No wonder he still loves that team!
You forgot check he sacked his own father from his team and when the poor man kept turning up to watch his Son, he got Toto to ban him from the garage.
This is the first race since Las Vegas 2023 in which Hamilton finishes ahead Russell. In this race Russell lost several positions on the start because he had to back off due to mess caused by Perez. In addition, he was a bit unlucky with SC. Nothing to worried about.
@@davidetambaro5234nah mate, the difference in the calibre of driving today was massive. I think if Hamilton keeps in good spirits he’s gonna come out on top.

Very interesting seeing George completely out of play and not happy at all vs Lewis quite happy also about the balance. So inside the team with the same car very opposite results
What we did not understand very well is why Lewis had to box two laps after George while he was on the hard tires on a low deg circuit. We where thinking, when we saw the set up at the start, that he would go maybe between 25 and 35 laps before going on to medium or soft, but he was brought in relatively early. It would have been nice if they had caught the VSC by accident.
Bit more pace on the straights and i think Hamilton would have been fighting for the win. He stayed in drs range with a red bull on the same tyres, so the dirty air would not have helped him either.
George is still hell bent on making his priority to beat Lewis over anything else! Even during the race he asks where Lewis is after pit stops and safety car pit stops etc then sighs when Lewis is in front! What gives 🤷🏼♂️ this weekend they didn’t try different routes with each car and now George is thinking something must be wrong with his car cos he wasn’t on Lewis pace! When Lewis is somewhat happy with the car he always beats george.
@jonslayr4901 I agree every driver wants to beat their team mate but that’s all George seems to be bothered about over anything else! He’s a rookie come from a Williams straight into the works Mercedes team which is/was Hamilton’s home as a 7 time experience world champ and he’s come in like I have to beat Lewis to show how good I am lol now if it were those two fighting for position then I’d understand but even Lewis jumps George in pit stops when Lewis wasn’t the car behind George is more bothered about where Lewis is rather then the car he was fighting!
They record everything for a number of reasons; (1) so press releases and future articles can accurately reproduce quotes, (2) to "train" [coach] the drivers in their interview technique to be more beneficial towards the team [and not mistakingly give things away], (3) legal reasons, should there ever be a "he said/she said..." case that needs clarifying. Remember, not all "pen" interviews are filmed, so the media team don't always have access to TV footage to review.

Lewis had better race pace because he has stopped experimenting and now just driving just out of the cars limits, as he done last season.
