I saw you play in a small town hall building or church in Vermont when I was in my teens. Im 28 years old now, and have always loved this song. Its about so much more than a truck. Thank you for sharing!
this song always fills me with grattitude for all my dreams that have come true, and the people who helped, and the freedom ive found from negative emotional morass. lately i just turn the radio off... :)
As far as classic trucking songs go, that’s pretty darn good! A little Mama hated Diesels or Bill Staines / Wild Wild Heart vibe maybe. Pulling the pistons out of Kenworth would be quite a job for a rookie, but Springsteen put fuelie heads on a 396 so a little poetic license is only fair I guess. Been clicking since Cry, Cry, Cry & Cold Missouri Waters.
It is very obvious that you are not a singer/songwriter of any knowledge or skill at all! If you were, you would know that great artists often play/sing their songs differently from time to time, that is what makes them great! They are willing to change, grow, and improve. Only hacks like you play their music the exact same way each time, and that is why no one has seen any of your efforts on UTube! You sir, and your comments, are irrelevant!
The other commenters in this thread are telling you to piss off, but I'm going to... also do that but for a different reason. Live performances, especially solo, often sound different to the studio version. I'm confused where you think he got the words wrong though. They're all there, in the right order. Maybe it's the tempo that threw you off. Still, it might be that you just don't know how words work, since your grasp of grammar and spelling seems somewhat limited.
I think the most embarrassing thing here is YOUR woeful grasp of grammar! It is YOU'RE embarrassing yourself not YOUR! Just plain embarrassing man, not to mention YOUR poor lack of knowledge of good music.
Loved going along for the ride. Thank you for posting. 8)

I love all these recordings just as you mentioned. Personal concerts...
These fisheye lens videos really allow the songwriting to shine--this is one of my favorites!

Well boys and girls, if you want an excellent example of a well constructed song, here you go.

Stay in argentina until you can learn the words to your songs , don't waste our time . Your embarrassing yourself and your audience .
Go write a song yourself and keep your opinions about others to yourself!!
Awful attitude.
This is a great song!
Have YOU no dreams?
