- Welcome back to my channel in today's video I will be making a sonic adventure 2 soap shoes custom.Sonic adventure 2 battle is such a big part of my childhood. I always wanted a sonic figure rocking soap shoes as he did in the game.The shoes were 3D printed and hand painted. I didn't want to just change his shoes, I also wanted to give him his signature adventure look and his expression that was used in the adventure art work. I love your customized figures, I wanted to customize my Sonic from jazwares, putting soap shoes on it, but I don't have the painting materials or the 3D printer, and I use your inspiration videos so that if I do that one day, I'll have a base.

I love it. I think a custom based on the Sonic Adventure Resaurus figure would be insane. The long and slinky shoes, the big round eyes, the pointy quills, and Sonic’s big ol smirk would look so good on a modern jakks figure
I like sonic adventure 1 and 2 I want no spoilers because I want to play it sometime

This looks amazing! I had a cool idea for a figure like this, where its stylized with brighter paint on the top of his spikes to look like highlights, and darker on the bottom to look like shading. Id be tricky to make but it could look great if done correctly

Your back that intro is so cool and I’m just saying if you made the hands to look like in the sa1 art you could make him soap sa1 sonic but it’s still cool no less and good job
You did an impeccable job with this figure. although I would've adjusted the eyes a bit more toward the center for more posability and display options since now this figure is incapable of looking to the left or be displayed at any directions that isn't right side up. Glueing the shoes on isn't a bad idea cause 3d print isn't as flexible as plastic so you wouldn't be able to have the same articulation as the original shoes but maybe angle it a way that it can looks good while running or grinding.

These figures can actually turn in the knees, so for the shoes i think you could figure out a way to pose them in a way with the knees

I think I have an idea for a figure like this that has ball joint connecting shoes. Instead of printing the entire shoe plus socks, just cut out the sock part with the connection in the regular shoes and then print the bottom half and then Krazy Glue it to the sock or whatever to make it a articulated one
I just got a pair of soap shoes from eBay. And they look cool, with some flaws. Are your able to keep Sonic up, and does he have the articulation in his feet like the original one?
Just wanted to say awesome job on the figure, I honestly need to get back into doing custom figures now as an adult. I still have a shadow mephilis and a sonic exe i made when i was in middle school. Im thinking this looks like an easy project to get back into it! Is there a schematic or a 3d model of the shoes you used and if so could you link it in your description? Also just a suggestion but I as well as probably many other people would LOVE to see your setup (what kind of paints you buy and tools ect). Sorry for the long message and keep up the great work :)
