nice work jeff and Mrs jeff. really glad you reco'd the original gear rather than binning and replacing. Once again, keep it up.
as usual a great contribution from mrs. jeff. porsche also had a hand in designing the auto unions.
keep at it Jeff - love the headscratching/working-it-out pieces.
That thing is going to be a great little diver. Classic 911. Awesome work 👍
Well done Jeff.. love your can do will do attitude , car is looking great .
Nice work brother. You're inspiring me to pull my 914 apart.
Love the update. Those smaller pieces take a lot of time and don't appear to show much progress, but you did get a lot done! Great use of fast motion to keep it interesting. What a great project!
Thanks mate. I just had a look at your channel and it looks like you have a big project of your own ;)
Unfortunate for me, my CJ7 will not turn out half as cool as your 911! After watching your videos, I find myself searching the net for a 911. Keep those hands dirty! Cheers.
I just found you and have just finished watching your rebuild #1 - #31...LOVE THEM!! Subscribed and I've liked every video I've seen. Excellent work on the Porsche and am enjoying the fun facts with Mrs. Jeff. Can't wait to see more of the Porsche and then on to your other rebuilds...P.S. You are quite the talented artist, and all around mechanic.
Thanks mate. That is a fair dent in the series, but there is still a lot more to go ;)
Love your work Jeff. I have to say that I find it inspirational. I have a '94 968 that's supercharged. It has it's own niggles that I'm looking into myself ... which I would've chickened out on doing up until watching your videos ... Oh and tell Mrs Jeff to keep up the good work! bang up job!!! Cheers, Stu
That is cool. I am glad I can inspire someone in some way to give it a go. If it doesn't work you can always take it to someone. If it does, you have learned something new and you have the satisfaction of doing it yourself ;)
It's all in the detail, great video.
Good idea to use the original wireloom I reckon, it is German quality and made for your car, cant be much wrong with it, easy to fix any loose connections with some new connectors and solder if necessary. Older cars can often benefit from a few more relays around the place. Those Rivnuts are awesome! I keep thinking of buying one of those outfits, seeing you using them might push me into actually buying one at last.
I bought the kit off of ebay and it wasn't very expensive. Gives a much neater finish.
What a massive job .…… well done
great build jeff first thing i look for friday am i have used old looms in all my nrestorations (6) except one i test each wire for continuity ( pain in the butt but saves a lot of headache later) and visually check for breaks in the insulation because easy fix whne the loom is out but a nightmare later good luck and keep at it joe
Thanks. I am just wacking it back in and hoping at this stage. I should take your advice and check every wire, but I am far too lazy for that ;)
not sure about Porsche but I know others and I hope for your sake "all that work" you didn't make a high mistake with that wireing harness. at that age its a good source for a fire. good luck love the show
Hey Jeff, the Porsche is starting to come together well mate. Don't beat yourself up over progress. I think you made a heap of progress in the vid. They sure take longer to put back together than they ever take to pull apart!
Haha, thanks mate. I do like it when I get big things done, even if they don't take long. Then it looks like I did a lot ;)
Love the cat!
as usual u doing great job
also for some of those "wear" items like handbrake and pedal box have you thought of a blast cabinet and home powder coater
I think that may be something I have to look into, because the straight painting is not going to hold up long term.
Great video I would love to spend the time doing this one day. Are you planning on running carpets when it's done?
The cat is is a star: :)
just keep pushing this is the slow but fun prosesse putting it all back nice and shiny, how´s the engine going???
Still trying to organise the parts and then it will be full steam ahead.
Well its all a bit 😱 this week but you will achieve young padwan! Btw, which of the cars is for Mrs Jeff?
Lol yes I can see you slaving over the Alfa while the Porsche acquires a stack of 'magic' miles. Mind you, with all that house refurbishing you've got on driving your toys might just be a ways off. Keep one in the lounge I say! 😀
Did you get the headlights fit. I'm having a hell of a time with mine.
Yeah, it wasn't too difficult with mine. It took a bit of sanding around the edges, but they fit in nicely. Have a look at the previous video, I fit them in that.
hate to be a buzz kill but you installed the dash backwards. :)
looking great from the usa mate!
Super job but you need spacers at the Wheels in the back :-)
I was actually in the process of sorting that out today. Don't worry, when I am finished the car will be sitting at a nice height with the right offset :D
Man, I am currently making 2 videos a week and it is already taking all my time. I don't know if there are hours in the day to do any more...
wonder how much pedal spray got on the car ?
The whole car still needs to be cut and buffed, so I haven’t been too worried about over spray.
Fruit? Geeze Jeff. Its a fooot or a frunk
No it's a "froot" a front boot :D I explain it all here ua-cam.com/video/8JEYS3eKI4A/v-deo.html
More claymation in your vids needed, thanks for obliging
No joke, 90% of successful youtube channels devote at least 15% of runtime to claymation action. Looking forward to it!
Haha, I think I would prefer to spend that time doing more on the Porsche ;)
First!
Actually this is the second time I posted this vid, as it ended up I had to change the music due to copyright anyway.
***** Yeah youtube is shitty like that.. What pisses me off most is that artists get a free advertisement on their stuff by having a smaaaal clip in the background of their song playing and they just flat out destroy the video duo to copyright..
It's like the artists think people listen to only the song on the background.
What if you want a video to show how your vintage radio works? Well you cant cause copyright.
I am fine with the artist getting credit for their music, and I always give credit to them. They put all the effort into making it. In this case I tried to do the right thing and got a song from Soundcloud with a Creative Commons Licence, but the artist must have stolen parts of it from other tracks. I just pulled the video down and swapped to a track I knew was ok.
I am so rooting for you and Mrs Jeff, great series and you two look like an awesome couple!
Haha, thanks. Yep Mrs Jeff deserves a medal for putting up with all my antics ;)
