You would have to pay $44K or more to get the same spec and features from the competition like Honda and Toyota. I test drove them and ended up with a Sorento SX because it drives and handles best from the bunch. $41K for the 2017 Sorento sx with the advanced tech package. Priced the Pilot and the Highlander with the same specs and got upward to $48k. Has top notch warranty. As of 2017, Kia is #5 on the reliability list according to consumers report. The only thing that Kia has against it is the KIA badge. That sigma is still stuck on some people's mind; those who are still living under a rock.
I rented a 2014 Sorento LX 2.4L FWD and it was nice, took it on a road trip and it was comfortable and economical... not very exciting to drive, but it rode nicely. I can't imagine how much nicer the 2016 models are! (:
ThinkOutsideTheCube, we found this same model for $33,900 brand new and I am strongly thinking of getting it. You say that it is not worth $40k but for 6 grand less do you think I would be getting a good deal?
It has "cheap" blank buttons bc it has missing options. As that goes for many cars that don't have all the options.
Paultwice22 Oh really? I had NO idea. Im not that arrogant. But frankly, I don't see too many $40,000 car with those blank buttons plastered on the dash board like this one. If it doesn't bother you, cool; but it bothers me.

Andrew Antonenko Lol nice try. A 2016 Pilot EX is only $33,310. You can buy a 2016 Pilot EX-L AWD w/ Navi for $39,585 and it's made of so much more higher quality materials then this Sorento IMO.
+ThinkOutsideTheCube False! Tried many vehicles, some 3 times. The Pilot 3 times. The Pilot is boring like a Toyota. There are plenty of cheap material. Right after our third trial, we went right back to the Kia dealer to sit on a Kia, and we were both smiling. What a nice vehicle. We ordered one.The Pilot was the exact same price, but we had the top of the line Sorento and the one level lower Pilot with lots of options missing. The top of the line Pilot was 5K more. And we got 1.19% int rate on the Sorento, vice 5,29% on the Pilot. But money and payments and even a fully equipped vehicle were not our main criteria. We bought the vehicle that rode the best, felt the best and offered the best warranty (by the way, getting these two extra years warranty is around 2K on all other models.Never had a Kia, but we have had two Civics and one Accord which were great vehicles. I find that Honda in decreasing in value as other companies are improving. Honda is just sitting on their rear end because they think they got it all. Their dealers refuse to deal, are patronizing and like to critic other brands (with all kind of false information). Their interest rates are amongst the highest on the market. They used to have a great product, but I am not so sure anymore. Their 2016 Pilot could easily be confused with a minivan, especially on the inside.We tried the Pilot, Pathfinder (close second but design getting old), Explorer, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and none of them felt as good ad the 2016 Kia.

i love the review but i have to say you are extremely picky. the whole button not being symmetric umm most cars have the same thing since its not the fully loaded one they dont include the buttons but only blank spaces. the whole dash thing seems to be some kind of damage. with that said your review seemed pretty fine your voice and camera work was pro and i can see your channel growing.

It looks like the new Highlander and Pilot which looks like an MDX. These CUVs all look the same. They don't look unique like the Enclave.

Considering the Great price point. I think it is great value for money and if they have to cut corners then so be it .when you compare it to its competitors it is better quality. It's not competing with Mercedes or Audi or anything like that.

Kia is getting out of hand with it's pricing, and the MPG is terrible. The Nissan Murano is a much nicer car, if you don't need a third row.
The truck really is that bad, you were complaining about little things tbh.
Javon K I could understand those type of issues in a Forte or Optima, but for their newly redesigned flagship SUV I expected it to be a lot nicer.
A Ford Escape also isn't $40,000+ and doesn't compete with the Sorento.
