I was in high school in the 70's. I feel pretty good that I got several correct. These songs don't really seem like they were that long ago....until I look in the mirror.
I was born in '64. I've lived through all these eras. My first recollection of songs on the radio was The Doors, Janice, and more. I still listen to a lot of these (I'm a huge PF fan, as well as several other of these bands. Even as I approach 60, I'm kinda floored that more people didn't catch every one of these. Then again, I'm old. ( ish ) I got every one of these-- even some of the later tunes. Kids, be sure to broaden your horizons musically. Personally I'm a huge fan of big band/ swing/ blues. Just standard ol' Rick and roll (classic rock, to most young'uns, lol) is my first love, though. ❤️🎶 And thanks to my (now grown) kids, I'm always checking out newer bands and music, and actually finding stuff I love-- still! Heck, I'm even exploring olde stuff I missed way back when . And letting my freak flag fly by now boldly enjoying openly stuff I would have never admitted to liking back in high school, haha! Because when you hit your late 50s, it seems you just give up caring what anyone else thinks of you. Be yourself, and listen to what calls to you. And never stop exploring. You never know what you might have missed! ✌🏻😎❤️✨🌻🎶 Oh, and by the way.....I got every damn one in like the first four notes or less. 😎
All but the Pink Floyd song, Love Floyd but not too familiar with Shine On You Crazy Diamond. But Holy Moly what a terrific playlist 😎time to go and listen to these and more!!
I got just about every one except that you got to give folks like me a little extra time! I was in my twenties or earlier when these songs came around. Now I'm 60 and my brain doesn't work so fast. Lol
Technically, Piece of My Heart is by Big Brother and the Holding Company. I got 20/20, except for the artist for Our House, which is Madness apparently.
I started off so well, then it got a bit hit and miss. Ended up with 14 / 20. Despite classic rock being a genre I love, it included some names I don't really listen to, and one I'd never even heard of (Todd Rundgren?) And Madness is 80s pop, not classic rock.
I got 17/20. I like that there were some more obscure songs included such as Shine On You Crazy Diamond. That’s always been one of my favorites from the Floyd!
This was easy for me I got them all, i was the type of kid growing up who listened to music more than i watched tv. My friends called me the snipet master. 55 now where does the time go😮
Surprised I got all but Pink Floyd because I was a '60's kid and was slow to make the transition to FM radio. When the box plays BOC at my favorite bar everyone knows I'm there.
AT 77, I get the song but not the artist or the artist but not the song! LOL I could get most of the songs by singing really fast in my head looking for the title...
18, missed Todd Rungeren (no surprise there, i can't even spell it) and The Guess Who (know the song, didn't know the intro). Madness threw me a bit as they're ska not classic rock.
That particular Madness song isn't ska, though, just pop. I was the same on The Guess Who, even though I love that song! No way I could miss the Rundgren, it's one of my all time favorite songs, loved it all these years.
Some of the very beginnings intros weren't really played on the radio. So if you didn't listen to the album, you wouldn't have known that particular intro.
That was pretty easy. I only missed two because I haven't heard any of this stuff in about 30 years so, I just didn't know a couple of the titles the titles as well as I used to. The Heart threw me because I was thinking Van Halen. I knew the Aerosmith musically but couldn't come up with a song or title. The one by Wings was REAL easy!! It's the only song they ever recorded!
@@bobblowhard8823 Marshall Tucker, Blackfoot, Charlie Daniels, Elvin Bishop, Molly Hatchett, Outlaws, Wet Willie,... I've got a few more if you need 'em. Not a big Southern Rock fan, I take it?

Triple miss. The name of the song is “Piece of my Heart”, the artist is Big Brother and the Holding Company, and you didn’t even spell Janis Joplin’s name correctly. Sad.
i lost interest as soon as Carly Simon, Todd Rundgren and the Doobie Brothers were mentionend in this so called classic rock collection. In my opinion the have no right to be in such a collection. Bad choices which make me loose my interest in this quizz instantly.
4:56 It called "Piece of My Heart" by Big Brother & The Holding Company Featuring Janis Joplin [Not Janice Joplin]
Thanks for spotting the typo!
Exactly
68 years old and nailed all but one.. Firehouse? I think... Anyway, that was awesome, a wonderful trip down memory lane. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!

That last song needed more cowbell.
😂😂
you can never have too much cowbell ! lol
The one that did not fit the others at all was Our House by Madness.
Correct, definitely *not* classic rock.
😅 yeah, it sorta reared its head from nowhere!
. @birdy-numnum6321 As the bishop said to the actress.😋
All but the Pink Floyd song, Love Floyd but not too familiar with Shine On You Crazy Diamond. But Holy Moly what a terrific playlist 😎time to go and listen to these and more!!
Rock on!
Every Radio DJ from the 80s should guess these in less than 2 seconds. Sounds like the playlist from back in the good ol FM days
Not sure that You're so Vain and Our House qualify as Classic Rock, or any kind of rock for that matter.
I got just about every one except that you got to give folks like me a little extra time! I was in my twenties or earlier when these songs came around. Now I'm 60 and my brain doesn't work so fast. Lol

Sorry, I meant that it’s not played on the radio very often due to its length. I couldn’t think of the right word.
I got all the non-rock socks wrong. Of the actual rock songs, there are 2 I recognized but couldn't place. The rest were surprisingly easy.
Missed only two of them…”Shine On You Crazy Diamond” and “You’re So Vain”.
Same here.
Great vid. Confused Love in an Elevator with Rag Doll. Did not know who sang Out House.
They are so close, right? Awesome job, and thanks for the feedback :)
I knew it was Aerosmith immediately but like "deoxy" i came up with love in an elevator too...
Fairly easy, I got them all, but a couple titles eluded me to til the last second. Well done.
Great quiz, absolute gem!

Playing fast and loose with the word ‘rock’ here aren’t you?
Carly Simon us hardly rock is it!
Todd Rundgren, not rock just crap
How ?
The last song needs more cowbell. :p
Ahahaha YES!
Love it
Piece of My Heart is Big Brother and the Holding Company. And you spelled "Janis" wrong.

Janis Joplin one of the best vocalist of all time and you can’t spell her name.

Many of the intro riffs make it impossible not to know the song. Especially the 70s.
18. Not bad I guess. I agree our house doesn't really fit.
Got them all right, except I didn't know who sang Our House. What madness is this that I didn't know?

I guess maybe ya had to have been there. This is a classic set from the times covering most areas of the music played on both AM and FM radio.
