Appreciate the video! A couple of suggestions for people. Use all LED ( no UV). You can also use tint if you need to but I would suggest professional install. I live in Midwest so there are times where I need to dehumidify and times I need to humidify. Basically keeping it at 40- 45 RH with a little fluctuation as possible as that messes with glue on cards etc….
Thank you for covering climate control, temperature and no sunlight to fade these collectibles. Great points and great video, David. Thanks for the tips! Your basement set up looks great and well planned. You are right about totally blocking sunlight even beyond curtains. I had Verbot on a shelf away from a window with thick curtains, and it made him go from bright white to a faded beige. I took him off the shelf and had to treat him with hydrogen peroxide gel to get him back to normal.
Dehumidifier is most important. I have none electricity small ones with a refill cartridge and always moisture to empty. Need to get electric one for the dust but not sure how much they cost to run?

Sunlight, moisture, smoking & pets is the bane of all collectables.
Yup!
I just put everything in a luggage and try not to overthink about my collection😂
It’s tough to protect the collection against time but these ideas will certainly help
Every little bit helps!
Great topic!
Thanks!

People don't realize how quickly sunlight can affect things.

I wonder if that moister caused my Neca cartoon turtle line to loosen the glue on the figures from expansion
