Tang Band is the best. Gunna make me a bt speaker with 2 3” tang band subs and 2 2.5” Dayton audio full range speakers with 6 2” passive radiators. And possibly a tweeter.
Aww this driver! It's more Impressive than the Atlas to me! It's only a 2" and it has nearly the same excursion! Definitely the best 2". Would love to get one
@@davelowets you are right, especially for this small speakers. But i gonna give it 30 watts with dsp for full excursion. The efficiency is bizarre BTW, it's 2 to 4 times more efficient then other 2 inch speakers !!
speedracer123222 Compared to the Atlas the sound isn’t quite as good because the smaller cone keeps it from hitting the low notes as well as the bigger woofer can but the excursion is only a few mm off, and it depends which custom ones are you referring to?

I see people use jbl speakers that are 2” wouldn’t the w2 1625SA be better sounding, to me the specs look worse in response at www.tb-speaker.com/products/w2-1625sa but not all sites are correct what would you recommend for a sub woofer that is 2” I’m trying to see if there’s ones better than the 3” ones.
speedracer123222 If you mean the jbl ones with the shiny aluminum coil they sound better for highs and mids but they break up at the lows and I’m not sure about sound quality with those I just know the ones I bought are meant for subwoofers and have the highest xmax

It sounds truly awful in this demo however. Why not a finished installation that we can listen to to hear how good it can sound, instead of how much excursion it has?!

Nice subwoofer.. The cone is perfect.. I love to build a soundbar with 6 of that drivers. I love listening music while I can see the cone excursion..
Its a very nice driver for sure! I have made a few plans for boxes for these and I haven't quite got the right one yet.

Yup, These were never designed to be used out of the box and I'm working on the box right now... Torn between ported or using passive radiators.
Go for passive rads, then the box will be tiny and pretty funny when you hear the bass output, try using ND65-PR's they should be compatible.
