Always a wealth of information on GPS devices and navigation. Particularly like the walk and talks. I’d be really interested to see some videos on integration of the newer Garmin units into the Garmin Explore mobile App and website.
Many thanks for your kind words. We are not a massive fan of the Explore App, we have actually removed it from our course syllabus and replaced this with using the Garmin Connect app when Garmin introduced 'courses' earlier this year. @@ukgpstraining Thanks Jon, that’s good to know as I had only just started to look at the Explore App and accompanying website for use with my GPS and found it to be quite clunky, particularly the website version. Will probably give it a wide birth for now the. Do you know if Basecamp is still in active development or have they depreciate it in favour of Explore/Connect? Will have a look at Connect as I use that for my fitness wearables and Edge Cycle computers.
@@boom-stick BaseCamp will be phased out but frankly unsure how this will effect the UK customers who are needing OS maps. Time will tell, but at this moment in time connect (both online and the app) does not have the functionality that we need to edit gpx files etc. This video starts off with our current work around using Garmin BaseCamp and Connect before transferring to a watch - ua-cam.com/video/IsKRJcOox1Y/v-deo.html
Yes you can, if you are wanting to get to grips with your unit you are best to sign up for our online training course - gpsonlinecourse.co.uk/ I hope you understand, if we gave 1:1 training over youtube at no cost (for the world) I would be having to make my staff redundent. What gps accuracy does the 65s get down too. I can't get my 64s to go any lower than 9feet accuracy. Have you ever had the 64s and if so what accuracy did yours get down too?
Hi I have the garmin montana 700. I use it on my off road bike to follow routes. Is there a way that you can make the route line any thicker. At the moment the line is very thin and it’s hard to follow when riding. My friend uses a satmap and on his gps device there is a nice thick line to follow.
Most informative gps channel I can find. Thank you, and stay safe!
Thanks, will do!
I love your channel, it’s so good and clear. Thank you.
Many thanks for your kind words, they are appreciated, Jon

Loving your tutorials. Can I load a grid ref as a waymarker. Not where I am but some forward grid refs.

Unfortunately not, you can't change the route line.
So on the satmap you can change the transparency line to make it thicker or thinner but with the Garmin Montana 700 you can’t
@@martinwebber5792 That's correct, and Garmin are still producing GPS units, whilst SatMap are not!
