Excuse me, I'd like to file a complaint: I got a notification this morning saying that one of my suggestions got made into a video. Except it didn't. The suggestion was "top 10 anime christmas episodes", and this video, which the message linked me to, is clearly not about anime episodes.
***** No, actually, both of these statements are wrong. While your opinion on anime is entirely subjective, the list above mentions not a single example from the list that I was told was made into a video. They did not "tone it down", they excluded it entirely.
***** First of all, there no such thing as "asianese". Second, Anime is defined as an animated feature made in Japan. They're not all movies. As the matter of fact, the majority of them are TV shows. And they have their fair share of Christmas-themed episodes. And THIS list above does not link to that subject whatsoever.

i think Christmas Who? deserves the top spot by far. I'm sorry but an honorable mention is not enough for this gem. it is one of the best spongebob episodes ever!
To be honest, knowing watchmojo I didn't think christmas who? would be on here at all, so just being in the honorable mentions is good enough for me, though I do wish it was in the top 5.
Christmas Episodes that didn't make the list Ed, Edd, n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle Twas the Fight before Christmas - Powerpuff Girls Christmas Every Day - The Fairly OddParents A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas A Lost Claus - Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends Hearth's Warming Eve - My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Minstrel Krampus - American Dad Holly Jolly Secrets - Adventure Time Operation NAUGHTY - Codename: Kids Next Door The Santa Experience - Rugrats When it comes to Christmas, I mostly watched cartoon Christmas specials. Tell me if I missed something.
The family guy road to the North Pole is the most underrated Christmas specials, that home invasion scene is one of the funniest things family guy have produced. Not to mention I'll go as far as to say it creates one of the most dark and twisted versions of santa than anyone else. As well as adding a completely twisted yet very realistic form of santa. It also has some of family guy's best musical work such as "Christmas time is killing us" and "all I really want for Christmas this year"
I hate to be that guy but the Hey Arnold Christmas Special is one of the best television specials I have ever seen. In all honesty, every one of the Hey Arnold holiday specials are amazing, tear jerking heart felt experiences ever!
"Arnold's Christmas" from "Hey Arnold" should be #1. Helga gave up her gift to help Arnold reunite Mr. Hyunh with his daughter. What Helga did for Arnold was the greatest gift you could EVER give someone. It was the ultimate act of Selflessness. You could NOT ask for anything more noble than that. Gerald tells Arnold that he has a Christmas Angel looking out for him and the episode closes with Helga standing outside of Arnold's house in the snow and she says "Merry Christmas, Arnold." That episode really is something special. There is no doubt in my mind that it is the BEST!!!!!
um....should have divided this video into two: one for live action and one for animated. i mean, there is so many animated ones, you can't just put them in a list of live action ones.
yeah, right? i mean, they do it for they're other top 10s, why not here? and it would help sense Christmas is right around the corner, a day away actually. have one be live action on eve or day and one could be on the other.
I think the Hey Arnold Christmas episode should of been mentioned. It was so heartfelt when Arnold and Helga helped Mr. Hyngh find his long lost daughter. Not to sound corny but it really showed what Christmas is all about. I also loved the Powerpuff Girls Christmas episode.
I agree, I just watched that episode last year around Christmas time and I was really moved by Arnold's commitment to finding Mr, Nguyen's daughter, no matter how difficult it was.
Also, people need to realize not everything to make the list because other things I probably should’ve been mentioned but not a bitch gonna make this list you know I see some people saying they should we mention that should mention yeah they can’t mention all of it but they can’t please everybody
How the fuck are you not gonna include the "Rapture's Delight" episode of American Dad in the honorable mentions, let alone the actual list? It's easily one of the most memorable, badass Christmas specials of the past decade.
The only one that's really worth a mention on this list is "A Christmas Carol" which I would have put in the top 5. Doctor Who has a hard time really nailing the Christmas specials. The only ones I can think of that did really well were "A Christmas Carol" and "The Snowmen" in fact, I take what I said earlier back, either "A Christmas Carole" or "The Snowmen" would be suffice.
Yeah I definitely think one deserves a place on this list. As a Christmas celebration I have been watching one doctor who Christmas special everyday leading up to the 25th

I agree, I watch that episode every year around Christmastime since I purchased Batman: The Animated Series on DVD. Along with The Real Ghostbusters(1986) episode, X-mas Marks The Spot and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) The Christmas Aliens it is a favorite of mine. Who else but the Joker would bust out of Arkham Asylum on Christmas eve, kidnap three people and threated to kill them unless Batman can find him and stop him before midnight?
Uhh 🙄 your all apparently not watching the top 10 Best Nickelodeon Christmas Episodes. Jeez are you people blind or stupid when you post? Look at that countdown. Arnold’s Christmas IS 1 and Christmas Who Of Spongebob is 2. All you people are pathetic complaining when you don’t even watch ALL countdowns. This countdown is on major networks like Fox and NBC 🙄. God you people are ridiculous. Think before you post.
@@MiggyRules I mean, their comments were six years ago. They can’t exactly predict the future 😂. Plus, Spongebob was an honorable mention in this list, so it’s not like they weren’t considering Nickelodeon cartoons. Hey Arnold just deserves the number one spot, period.
I think "A Christmas Carol" from Doctor Who, the 2010 Christmas Special, deserved a spot. Not number one, but definitely a spot. Granted, it's "A Christmas Carol" Doctor Who style, but they do it in such a perfect way.
The Hey Arnold Christmas special is one of my favorites. I didn't expect it to be on this list, but hoped it would at least be in honorable mentions. It's all good though. Merry Christmas
oh man, "a very sunny christmas" had me dying. especially as mac told of his childhood christmas tradition of opening other people's presents before they can wake up and take yours.
I always felt the first Christmas one is better. Where Fry learns what Christmas has become but he doesn't care and goes out and gets Leela a gift, only for it to fly away sending Fry after it and Leela forced to come to his rescue.
My favorite Hey Arnold! episode isn't here. Its the episode where Arnold tries to get Mr. Hynh's daughter back. The back story brings me to tears, and I love its conclusion the best out of ALL the Christmas specials on this list.
Really? You chose "A Tale of Two Santas" over "X-mas Story" for Futurama? That episode was average at best. Also I'd put in "Woodland Critter Christmas" over "Mr. Hanky the Christmas poo" for Southpark.
Top 10s 'N' Tributes I felt Robot Santas Origin story and warping of the meaning of Christmas was a far better story. Also the jokes were much more funny which is what I look for when watching a comedy. "Alright, I'll take the 500 lizards. No, wait, yes. No. Yes. Yes. Yes! The parrot!" *WAAARK!*
Static shock - "Frozen out". This episode will make you teary eyed no matter how old you are. It didnt just mention Christmas and Khanuká only, but also Ramadan/Muslims in natural or positive way, something you never see on TV and probably never will. Kudos for the creators.
Lord Jeffries Still they choose the list to make and people vote for what to put on it. If you have to blame someone for not putting your favorite here it's the voters not WatchMojo.
How are none of King of the Hills XMAS episodes even honorable mentions?!?!? Ms. Wakefield at least deserved some mention! It's a hilarious episode, that's also a bit dark. Only KOTH can pull that off.
Omg, "A Very Sunny Christmas" is one of the best Christmas themed episodes I've ever seen lol that part where Charlie was biting that mall Santa had me dying XD
Who the fuck puts Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo over Woodland Critter Christmas for the best South Park Christmas special? It's funnier, it came out when South Park was at its best, and is exactly what you think about when you hear "South Park does a Christmas special". Honestly, this is so obvious and it's even more insulting that it wasn't at least an honorable mention.
By focusing on mostly newer shows, you missed the two greatest: “Night Of The Meek” - Twilight Zone “‘‘Twas The Night Before Christmas” - The Honeymooners
My list: Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy: Fa, La, La, La Ed Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy: Jingle Jingle Jangle Hey Arnold: Arnold's Christmas Modern Family: Undeck the Halls Rugrats: The Santa Experience Kim Possible: A Very Possible Christmas The King of Queens: Silent Mite Regular Show: The Christmas Special Friends: The One with Christmas in Tulsa Everybody Hates Chris: Everybody Hates Christmas Courage the Cowardly Dog: The Nutcracker Codename: Kids Next Door: Operation: N.A.U.G.H.T.Y. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: A Lost Claus SpongeBob SquarePants: Christmas Who? and others.
Aww, no mention of the Holiday Armadillo from Friends? One of the best episodes I think. 'What are you doing here weird turtle man?' lol Also, Woodland Critter Christmas is a lot funnier to me than Mr. Hankey. But it's because they could do a lot more with the show by season 8.
They can’t put everything on there including honorable mentions they only for so many honorable mentions on there and they’re not gonna be able to please everybody
1. Roseanne "White Trash Christmas" 2. Hazel the Christmas episode where Mr B doesn't want to celebrate 3. All In The Family "Edith's Crisis Of Faith" 4. Family Ties Christmas Carol episode 5. Mork And Mindy's Christmas episode 6. Happy Days when Fonzie was going to be alone on Christmas
I'm going to go with another South Park episode - Woodland Critter Christmas. "What special time, what special day! It's Woodland Critter Christmas!" "Hail Satan!" :-D
Family Guy when Stewie and Brain travel to meet the real Santa and find out that Santa and his elves are way overworked because everyone keeps asking for too many gifts on Christmas. They have a great song in there where Santa sings, "Christmas is Killing Us!" American Dad where apparently Stan Smith did something really horrible to the real Santa Claus(I don't remember what he did). And the Smiths take a vacation to leave their home so Santa doesn't find them, but Santa does end up finding them in the cabin where the Smiths are staying. Santa sends out an army of reindeer and elves with weapons and explosives to try and take down the Smith family as revenge. It was hilarious! Family Guy when Lois goes crazy because she is pissed off about how people do Christmas now compared to what she is used to and she out of spite tries to take down the big star on top of the town Christmas tree. South Park when they do a funny version of "Dradle! Dradle! Dradle!" And even have Satan singing "It's Christmas time in hell!" Among other songs. South Park when Kyle finds that Mr. Hankey doesn't show up and it turns out that he has a family to take care of and people aren't in the Christmas spirit. I especially love the spoof of Lion King in there with the song "The Circle of Poo." The Boondocks season one Christmas episode. Riley is pissed off at Santa Claus and attacks a mall Santa. The guy who works that job as mall Santa is so scared he quits. Then Uncle Ruckus takes over as Santa and all the parents and kids are so surprised to see a black Santa and of course Uncle Ruckus doesn't see himself as black anyways(there is an episode from Season 4 I believe that tells you the origins of Uncle Ruckus and why he hates black people. It's actually pretty sad.). There is also a huge play that the theater teacher puts Huey in charge of at the elementary school and there ends up being famous actors and actresses performing this play. All the preparation towards it is really funny! There are several good Simpsons Christmas episodes, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. I remember the Mr. Plow episode, but I don't remember if that was a Christmas episode at all or just an episode taking place during the winter.
1) "The Draft Dodger" (All in the Family) -- Dinner guests at the Bunkers include Mike's friend who skipped to Canada to avoid the draft and Archie's friend who just lost his only son in Vietnam. 2) "Twas The Night Before Christmas" (The Honeymooners) -- Be sure to watch the version where Jackie Gleason steps out of character at the end.3) "Alf's Special Christmas" (ALF) -- Alf learns the true meaning of Christmas from an elderly man facing his first Christmas without his wife and from a terminally ill little girl. No episode shifts between laughter and tears like this does.
I think you should have divided the list into 2. One for live action and one for animation. That way you could cover more. Also, Spongebob's Christmas Who? and Family Guy's The Road to Christmas should probably be higher than honorable mentions. Spongebob's first Christmas special is one of its best episodes, and the Road to Christmas is one of Family Guys last good episodes. Not to mention that "Very First Christmas to Me" and "Christmas Time is Killing Us" are pretty hilarious and iconic songs.
it may not be on tv but the "Eddsworld" episodes "Zanta Claws" 1, 2, and 3 are some truely awesome Christmas themed things to watch during the holidays. not only are they funny but are incredibly creative as well. i would personally rank 2 as the weakest (though its still really good), 1 as the second strongest, and 3 as the strongest. the creator of "Eddsworld" may be gone but the magic of these 3 shorts and all the other ones will never leave.
There was a Bones special in season 1. The team was quarantined in the lab because of a toxin. They had a secret santa where they made homemade gifts. Also, Bones solves a 40 year old murder of a white man who was killed for his coin collection. The black woman he was dating didn't know that he was murdered and was left alone raising their mixed child. Bones told her that they were going to Paris to get married and she gave her a coin valued at $100,000. It was very sweet
Could someone let me know what that was all about at 1:48? I don't watch Community and if it's on a channel by Viacom, I can't because I have Suddenlink and I can't watch Nickeloden or TVLand or (I think you catch my drift by now).
Like if you agree on this: Adventure Time - Holly Jolly Secrets Regular Show - Christmas Special The Amazing World of Gumball - Christmas Powerpuff Girls - Twas the Fight before Christmas
I'm not surprised that not a single one of my favorites even earned an Honorable Mention. 7th Heaven: X-mas (s. 10: ep. 11) 8 Is Enough: Yes, Nicholas, There Is a Santa Claus (s. 2: ep. 13-14) Sue Thomas F.B.Eye: Silent Night (s. 1: ep. 8) Monkees: The Monkees Christmas Show (s. 2: ep. 15) Walker, Texas Ranger: A Matter of Faith (s. 8: ep. 12) Victorious: A Christmas Tori (s. 3: ep. 1) Quantum Leap: A Little Miracle (s. 3: ep. 10)
My top 5: 1. Christmas Who? (Spongebob Squarepants) 2. Night of the Meek (The Twilight Zone) 3. A Robot for All Seasons (My Life as a Teenage Robot) 4. Road to the North Pole (Family Guy) 5. A Tale of Two Santas (Futurama) Honorable Mention: A Christmas Carol (Doctor Who)
Good list, but I disagree with #1 Moonlighting: It's A Wonderful Job is a good episode Good Neighbors, whatever it was called, I call it the Christmas episode was a classic. So many Christmas episodes within a, oh, Frasier! 'Mary Christmas' from the 8th season is another good one! Too many choices. within a TV series.
The MR BEAN Christmas episode...the scene where he's got the turkey on his head, even if the rest of it wasn't hysterical, that'd make it worth the (so to speak) price of admission

I would not say the darkest Christmas special ever watch the american dad Christmas special know those are dark
Christopher West yea
It's Family Guy. Just going by that it can't be very good.
No seriously, this really is that good, especially if your sick of the really happy Christmas specials you get these days

Woodland Critter is all i ever see at Christmas for South Park epsiodes it's on TV all the time during then. To be honest i'm sick of it now lol.
***** I guarantee "Mr. Hanky the Christmas poo" would have gotten old even faster.
A top 10 Christmas movies list would be nice
I think Holidays of Future Passed is a much better Simpsons episode than Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire.
Static shock - "Frozen out". This episode will make you teary eyed no matter how old you are. It didnt just mention Christmas and Khanuká only, but also Ramadan/Muslims in natural or positive way, something you never see on TV and probably never will. Kudos for the creators.
I find your lack of Doctor Who disturbing.
Yes it's quite troublesome. Not even an honorable mention... for shame. Maybe if they'd put it in the exceptions... they very much fucked up.
TrindyForce You know people vote those right ? Watchmojo has nothing to do with the positions on the list.
That show is so fucking overrated!
gwanael34 Watchmojo does whatever they want. Any suggestions page that's been made into a video proves that.
Lord Jeffries Still they choose the list to make and people vote for what to put on it. If you have to blame someone for not putting your favorite here it's the voters not WatchMojo.
Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean
How are none of King of the Hills XMAS episodes even honorable mentions?!?!? Ms. Wakefield at least deserved some mention! It's a hilarious episode, that's also a bit dark. Only KOTH can pull that off.
Omg, "A Very Sunny Christmas" is one of the best Christmas themed episodes I've ever seen lol that part where Charlie was biting that mall Santa had me dying XD
what about a very supernatural christmas??
from supernatural
Right!
I actually wish that Charmed made a Christmas episode
Ikr
Still love you guys
Who the fuck puts Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo over Woodland Critter Christmas for the best South Park Christmas special? It's funnier, it came out when South Park was at its best, and is exactly what you think about when you hear "South Park does a Christmas special". Honestly, this is so obvious and it's even more insulting that it wasn't at least an honorable mention.
By focusing on mostly newer shows, you missed the two greatest:
“Night Of The Meek” - Twilight Zone
“‘‘Twas The Night Before Christmas” - The Honeymooners
Hope they do animated specials soon.
FXX, they've been showing some of their episodes
My list:
Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy: Fa, La, La, La Ed
Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy: Jingle Jingle Jangle
Hey Arnold: Arnold's Christmas
Modern Family: Undeck the Halls
Rugrats: The Santa Experience
Kim Possible: A Very Possible Christmas
The King of Queens: Silent Mite
Regular Show: The Christmas Special
Friends: The One with Christmas in Tulsa
Everybody Hates Chris: Everybody Hates Christmas
Courage the Cowardly Dog: The Nutcracker
Codename: Kids Next Door: Operation: N.A.U.G.H.T.Y.
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: A Lost Claus
SpongeBob SquarePants: Christmas Who?
"The best part was where Superman flew in and saved all the Jews" :D
Arnold's Christmas deserved at the very least an honorable mention. That episode of Hey Arnold had a lot of heart for a kids show.
They can’t put everything on there including honorable mentions they only for so many honorable mentions on there and they’re not gonna be able to please everybody
I'm surprised the simpsons is at #2 considering that Watch Mojo is obviously Simpsons Fans
Right
Watchmojo doesn't make these lists.
People vote in a poll on these videos. So many Simpsons fans who watch this channel....so many....
Atte Backman Watchmojo does make the list, fan voting is taken into consideration, but Watchmojo has the final say.
I AM SPONGEBOB, DESTROYER OF EVIL Simpsons are great though, and it a timeless classic, and it is legendary
1. Roseanne "White Trash Christmas"
2. Hazel the Christmas episode where Mr B doesn't want to celebrate
3. All In The Family "Edith's Crisis Of Faith"
4. Family Ties Christmas Carol episode
5. Mork And Mindy's Christmas episode
6. Happy Days when Fonzie was going to be alone on Christmas
What, no Invader Zim Most Horrible X-mas Ever?
Or billy and mandy save christmes!
Er sorry
Bekah Gower I think that was technically a movie
i remember that i actually got my dad an aluminum pole for christmas. thank you newbury comics
No, I don't agree. The Office UK Christmas Special was better than anything that the US one has ever produced.
Ehh, Ricky doesn't have the same charm as Steve.
WERE ALSO SANTA CLAUSE!
Zoidberg: And I'm his friend, Jesus
How about that episode of SpongeBob where that snowball keeps repeatedly taking out Squidward's fireplace? LOLA
As a M*A*S*H* fan, I appreciate the inclusion of "Death Takes a Holiday," but I'd say "Dear Sis" is just a teeny bit better.
I was hoping to see the Doctor Who Christmas episode. "I'm going to be killed by a Christmas tree!" lol
I KNEW Mr.Hankey would be on here the second I saw the title! :D
Awesome stuff. :)
Bottom: Holy.
That is my personal favourite. Absolutel tongue in cheek, slapstick violence. Gotta love it!
Lol when Homer threatens to punch his teacher :D why I love the older episodes
I'm going to go with another South Park episode - Woodland Critter Christmas.
"What special time, what special day! It's Woodland Critter Christmas!"
"Hail Satan!" :-D
Christmas Who? should have been #1 on the list... "This Christmas, feels like the very first Christmas to me!"
Great List Nice
Family Guy when Stewie and Brain travel to meet the real Santa and find out that Santa and his elves are way overworked because everyone keeps asking for too many gifts on Christmas. They have a great song in there where Santa sings, "Christmas is Killing Us!"
American Dad where apparently Stan Smith did something really horrible to the real Santa Claus(I don't remember what he did).
I especially love the spoof of Lion King in there with the song "The Circle of Poo."
The Boondocks season one Christmas episode.
I pretty much liked the Mr Hankey Christmas Special. Its very funny and its worth to watch it :D
Happy Christmas to everyone!
The #1 spot it very well deserved!
1. South Park Xmas episodes
2. Futurama Xmas episodes
3. The Simpsons episodes
It´s my list of Christmas themed episodes from cartoons
Holly Jolly Secrets Part 2 is always going to have a special, bittersweet place in my heart.
Lol ima keep whining about how ya shoulda put "The Christmas Aliens" from tmnt 2003.
But I liked this list^^ this is why I like WatchMojo:3
no regular show?
I slapped my screen for nothing ^^
***** They're both amazing. Definitely better than Spongebob Christmas.
***** the part that had me rollin was have a holly jolly christmas while muscle man was getting rekt
Meh
***** any1 can watch regular show m8. im 19 and i still find that shit hilarious. its the only of its kind and it is very original.
Zoidberg as Jesus.... You know I would really buy that.
"And I'm his friend Jesus!"
The Hey Arnold Christmas special made me cry
One of the best Christmas television episodes: "Guess Who's Coming To Christmas" from Happy Days.
That wasn't A Charlie Brown Christmas, that was It's Christmastime Again Charlie Brown (1992)! 0:37
Could someone let me know what that was all about at 1:48? I don't watch Community and if it's on a channel by Viacom, I can't because I have Suddenlink and I can't watch Nickeloden or TVLand or (I think you catch my drift by now).
Happy Festivus!
'This the season to be trolling!
Trololololo lolololo!
Festivus is my favorite Christmas episode.
Christmas isn't about getting things it's about other people giving you things
"Kyle's big fat bitch of a mom" I laughed too hard
Like if you agree on this:
Adventure Time - Holly Jolly Secrets
Regular Show - Christmas Special
The Amazing World of Gumball - Christmas
Powerpuff Girls - Twas the Fight before Christmas
Loved it!
The Hey Arnold Christmas special is the most touching Christmas episode ever the Doug one was very touching as well
A Christmassy Ted episode from Father Ted is pure Irish comedy classic.
I'm not surprised that not a single one of my favorites even earned an Honorable Mention.
7th Heaven: X-mas (s. 10: ep. 11)
8 Is Enough: Yes, Nicholas, There Is a Santa Claus (s. 2: ep. 13-14)
Sue Thomas F.B.Eye: Silent Night (s. 1: ep. 8)
Monkees: The Monkees Christmas Show (s. 2: ep. 15)
Walker, Texas Ranger: A Matter of Faith (s. 8: ep. 12)
Victorious: A Christmas Tori (s. 3: ep. 1)
Quantum Leap: A Little Miracle (s. 3: ep. 10)
A Very Sunny Christmas is the best Christmas special ever. Should be number one.
Surprised that the Big Bang Theory episode "The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis" didn't make the list... "I POSSESS THE DNA OF LEONARD NIMOY?!"
My top 5:
1. Christmas Who? (Spongebob Squarepants)
2. Night of the Meek (The Twilight Zone)
3. A Robot for All Seasons (My Life as a Teenage Robot)
4. Road to the North Pole (Family Guy)
5. A Tale of Two Santas (Futurama)
Honorable Mention: A Christmas Carol (Doctor Who)
South Park's 'Woodland Critter Christmas' is by far the best Christmas special
Doctor who I’d put at the start those specials were a huge part of my family tradition for years and I rlly wish there was one this year.
Good list, but I disagree with #1
Moonlighting: It's A Wonderful Job is a good episode
Good Neighbors, whatever it was called, I call it the Christmas episode was a classic.
